Well, I went to Raven's party last night.. Wow it was awesome. You know what I ended up getting her? The new Linkin Park CD, Meteora. With no help from you guys! XP
Anyway, the party started out kind of boring with mellow music, but after about 30 minutes, we started DDR in a different room from the main dancing part.. Of course, most guys don't like DDR, so they stayed in the main dancing part, and turned on some trance, and a stobe light, and started break dancing..(Unbeknownst to the girls, of course). I was wondering why all the guys were gone so I went in the other room, only to find... A sight to behold! That night, I learned how to breakdance. It was cool. Once Raven found out this "Secret Strobing" she came in, went over to the stereo, and said "This sucks." Which makes you think that she's going to turn it to mellow music again, right? She didn't! She turned the volume and bass basically full blast, and it was then that we found.. The two speakers had 5" subwoofers!!!
It was a nightclub inside a tiny house. WOO!
Then, I suggested we play Twister like this. The strobe light, bad music and all. We did, and it was hilarious.
Oh man, I'm sorry I didn't go to her birthday party last year. I thought it'd be a bore(But I really couldn't go because I was on a cruise).
Y'know, this may sound like a LOT of people were at Raven's house. But alas, we're pretty antisocial. It was about 6 girls and 4 guys, I think...
Bwahahahahahaha..
When the party was over, my feet hurt worse then the time I had to walk all across Paris with shoes without soles....
Strobe lights are fun ^-^ (Although I think my sight will never be the same...) -

I replied to the email with answers to questions and such... But the only thign I'd like to say here(because I didn't want to sound TOO selfish) is why don't these people leave opinions? I mean.. If you take the time to write an email, you must REALLY like or hate the video enough to take the time to... Yeah, you know what I mean. Meh. but it doesn't matter.
Not too much outher stuff to write about other then the fact that my Mass Media Teacher asked me to make a commercial for DDR after I already got about 2% done of the Kendo Commercial..(Hey, 2% is a LOT when you're working with an Avio..)
I mean, I went to class, taped it all myself(well, some of it) I had to be in class most of the time so I taught my mom how to use the camera so she could tape it while I was working.. I stayed about an hour after class getting footage.. I dump it all in the editor, mess with it for two days, only to find out that.. "Guess what, Q! You get to ditch everything you've been working on, bring your PS2 to school, throw a DDR Party in Mass Media, and tape everything!" Now, that might seem fun to all of you, but I did that last semester and it was part fun, part agony...Mostly agony...
So, I ask him(my teacher) if I can borrow the camcorder over springbreak because I don't have my own(I'm going to a few DDR parties over the break and could get a TON of footage), but what does he say??
"No, I was only joking, you can do your kendo commercial.." But by the time he said that, the bus had come to pick me up, and if I wasn't going to do the DDR commercial, I HAD to have a camcorder today to get more, and better Kendo footage(My mom's hand is shakey..). I tell him that, and he says "It's too late now, you have to go home."
So basically, now, I'm screwed.... Or I work with what I have.. WHich will be awkward.. Eh, oh well.... I'm off to role play...

Yeah. Do you get it? I do.. It's wierd, sometimes.
Anyway, i got an interesting/cool email today. It goes like this:
"Just thought I'd write and let you know how much I liked your music videos!. Very original and well done!. My favorite by far though was "Cecilia" (which is ironic, because I hated Pegasus, and I thought he deserved everything he got in the end. No offense to Pegasus fans out there!) a very nice and romantic character profile, though it would have been nice to see those flashbacks of Pegasus and Cecilia as children!. "
And that's just the first paragraph. I never knew I had fans. Really! ^^;;
Well, I got the new .hack//SIGN amv DONE. It was done a few days a go (Sunday?), but it had some bad quality issues. Zarxrax helped me fix that ^-^. I'm also doing Silvia in Mao-Chan... For the Fandubbing project... Still only have half a voice, though, lol.
Anyway, the finished .hack//SIGN video is called "Tsukasa's Story"
it's codec is DivX 5.0.2 Pro, and it is contained within a WinRAR Archive, getting it to 28.79 MB. The anime is the first 5 episodes of .hack//SIGN, and the music is Tatu's "All The Things She Said".
This AMV is by FAR one of my best. It doesn't outshine "Fear Dot Hack", but rather, is kind of on the same level. The video just basically shines on Tsukasa's life, his inner feeling, his player.. His mom, his dad... And dwells on the fact that he can't log out. I've only seen the first 5 episodes.. Ever, but I've been told what happens through the story. So, with that knowledge, I gathered all the foreshadowing scenes in the first 5 eps and smushed them together, hoping they made sence. It turned out well. ^-^
When you see the part around the middle, where the lyrics go "Mother, looking at me, tell me, what do you see? Yes, I've lost My mind." and "Father, standing near, can you tell me, have I crossed the line?"(I know the father lyric's part arn't right.. Just a guess, as I jog my memory).
I redid that one section abotu 6 times. I had the Mother section pretty much figured out, but the father section I wanted to show too much information at once. Can you believe I actually had 5 things going on at the same time?? FIVE THINGS!! FIVE! **I** couldn't even figure out what was going on when I watched it... So, through much trial and error, I think I got it down to three or four things.. But they're not oging on all at once. I think the most going on at once is two... Until you get near the end, where it's four, again. But that one second or so of footage is SUPPOSED to be confusing...
If you haven't guessed it, this Character profile has to do with the thought procsses of Tsukasa! (lol). And as you can image, Tsukasa is VERY confused!
The funny/interestign thing, though, is that I sometimes have the scenes synching witht he lyrics, and sometimes witht he beat. Since the beat is kind of off with the lyrics, when I switch from lyric following to beat following, it looks like my scene cuts are off beat... That's why you should LISTEN CAREFULLY... This AMV is visually powerful...And stunning, compared to my others.. (Well, aside from "Fear Dot Hack".. WHich will probably be the smoothest video I'll ever get in my life..)
OH! I found out my recent problem with my AMVs! You know how sometimes in my recent, DVD ripped AMVs that it shows a few extra frames(That seem to not be intended to be there?) Well, that's because(And I finall figured it out, with help from Zarxrax) I was exporting at a faster fps rate then I was inputting with! I fixed that prblem with this AMV, you can't really tell in "Fear Dot Hack"(It looks like it's supposed to be there..), but in "Sword of Paranoia" it shows a few things.. And in the New Romeo _ Juliet Trailer(1996) it ruins some of my lip synch.... I'm not going to correct it unless I send the vid(s) to a con... I don't feel it's worth it, rereleasing all my stuff, and making all my hosts suffer with the reuploading and things...
Speaking of hosts, Trunks SSJ is hosting the New Romeo and Juliet! Well, he WILL be. I uploaded it to his FTP last time I wrote in the Journal, but he still hasn't made the page. It's fine since I know he has a lot of work to do, and all....
Also, remember those AMVs I made in Mass Media that I told you about? The ones that would be transfered to a tape?
WELLLLLLLLLLLLl... I was stupid, and didn't check the tape to make sure they all played back correctly before I deleted the project. I have a black tape... And 2 AMVs that disappeared from exsistance. Yay me. Oh well...
Maybe next time.
As for today, I'm going to Kendo, and filming it for a commercial. This commercial will probably be listed on the org.(If I don't forget to check the tape before I delete the project!) I'm hoping to make it humorous. However, I don't think my group(Of pure slackers, let me tell you..) won't let me. One can hope. I hope the tripod and camera doesn't get in the way of my training, lol!
Oh, I have a Birthday Party I'm supposed to go to on Friday of these week... I'm picking up a friend(Nick) who, get this, fences! I NEVER knew that. I invited him over for some quality sparring. I've always wanted to spar with someone outside of class, but nobody ever knows how to play Kendo. They all are just like "Haha. Swords. I can do that without any training".. RIIIIIGHT. I beat all their asses -wink- ;)
So after some sparring, I'm taking him over to the Bday party. I still have no idea what I'm going ot get her. Everythign I want to give her is too expensive... And all I have right now is five bucks. Last year I wrote her a short story which she didn't really like.. Said it was too mushy.. I didn't mind, I had never written a romance story before, so I didn't expect any GREAT outcome. She just likes romace-y stuff.... I REALLY don't want to resort to something like that again. I was thinking about making her an AMV but I don't have enough time. I mean, I could fix up the new Romeo + Juliet trailer and give it to her on an SVCD, but that's be like saying "I made this for you" even though it was for a school project.. Wait a minute.. That IS doing that! ><;;
Anyway, any thoughts on gifts under $20 for her? SHe likes Escaflowne, Angel(TV series on WB), and the Ceres Manga(But I can't get her any of the books).
Any input would be apreciated!
Oh, I'm going ot role play the rest fo the week, and during spring break I'll do the Kenshin humor AMV. Hopefully I can pull that off and also start another AMV before the week is over....
