(If you're a HUGE fan of Kenshin you might get that joke in the title).
I talked to Meg today and we both decided that since she usually covers for the cost fo scratched DVDs, but doesn't have any money right now, that I should take care of it. I have a DVD Dr.(Big green thing that claims to make DVDs that have been scratched to the point of no return work again) and I asked her if I could use it on her DVD. The reason why I asked is because the DVD Dr. basically rips the first layer off the DVD and shines the next layer(think layers of skin) and changes the overall look of that layer to appear as an iris of an eye.(The "iris effect"). So, when you look at the Back of the DVD, instead of seeing that nice smooth and shiny part, you see a nice Iris-y shiny part. But anyway, she said I could, and if that doesn't work, I have to buy her a new DVD. >.>
I've yet to use it. I've been busy...
In English, I was absent for a day right when we were doing a project in the computer lab. We started the essay one day, and then finished it another day, but the 'finishing day' I was absent. I never got the chance to make it up, completely forgot about it, and then the essays were graded and given back(this was a long time a go). I gues my teacher randomly looked in her grade book and asked me what I did with my essay. I said it was still in the computer.. She said "Print it out and finish it at home". Well, this is good. Now I'm not going to flunk English with a huge zero as a major test grade. So that's where most of my day at the computer was taken up at >.>

If you've ever used a Casabanca AVIO( video editor; hella expesive) then you know about the timeline and the creating a scene thingy for music.
Well, if you've never used an AVIO before, then the timeline kind of resembles Windows Movie Maker's... That's all you need to know for now
Remember that Kendo Commercial I talked about a few weeks a go that I was making in Mass Media? Well, it's due this Friday. Guess what I did today?
I recently trimmed the music today in the audio record part of the AVIO(if you have no idea what I'm talking about just pretend you do).
and wanted to replace the song I already had on the video track(Think linked video and audio in Premiere) with the new, trimmed one.
Well, it wouldn't replace because it was in the video track instead of the audio track. I wouldn't remove because of the same reason, and I couldn't make it fade out, either(to try and somewhat accomplish the trimmed effect). Let me just interrupt myself right now and tell you that I trimmed the song because I wanted commentary.(After all, it IS a commercial, and not a music video, as my Mass Media Teacher often points out).
So, my partner(Dan), says that I should delete the scene of the music(That's basically the music with black for video). So, I did.
I took it, and deleted it off the list of thumbnails(That's basically the file list of what you imported in Premiere, but with pictures.... Like WMM, without the folders to the side.).
Well, that didn't take care of it on the timeline. (I want you to know that everything was inserted into that scene thingy.. That's kind of like transparency in Premiere, but without the transparency part of it[Um.. If one scene goes the other doesn't work right]).
So, I deleted the song scene in the Timeline. A little message popped up "This will delete atleast one of your inserts" I click OK. My whole Timeline is deleted.
By this point, Dan wasn't paying attention, and had no idea what was going on..(I guess he had an ADD moment, or something). I hurriedly click the un-delete button (That's like an undo button, but it only un-deletes stuff).
Moments before this whole thing had started, Dan and I had had a conversation about the un-delete button. I had said "I wish this thing had an undo button" and Dan said "It does." and I said "No, that only undeletes stuff." and he said "No, it's multipurpose" (Think of Dan and I as VegettoEX and MeriC... WIthout the love interest).
So anyway, the un-delete button doesn't work. That's a whole week's worth of editing GONE. Forever. At this point I flip my chair over when I stand up, and scream at Dan(Luckily, the Edit bays[seperate rooms we edit in, kind of like telephone booths, except bigger] are sound-prrof).
"YOU SAID IT WAS A MULTIPURPOSE UNDO BUTTON! OH MY GOD!!!" And he's like, "huh?" When he looks at the monitor, I quickly turn it off and am like "No, don't look, don't look! Shit, shit!" He still has no idea what's going on, turns the monitor on to find out, but I put my hands where the timeline is. "No don't look! Damnit! Damnit!"
I move my hands after he says "What?" And then we both start screaming.
I was like "STUPID SHIT FUCK IT ALL!" and he was like "YOU DUMBASS SHIT WHAT THE HELL?!"
And we finally calmed down enough that I went to ask the teacher for an extension. After a very long discussion, he said, "You're so far ahead of everyone else already, that you can't have an extention, and you should just start over."
So we did just that, writing down the scenes in order on a piece of paper incase I make a stupid mistake like that again, but after I played it to see if we had done right, I picked all the wrong scenes(I thought they were the ones I had used) and they lasted longer then the song!(I didn't do the create a scene thing again so I didn't have to insert them all so I couldn't make that mistake again).
That really sucked.
AND THEN, Dan said something before we got on the bus to go home along the lines of. "You know, we could just insert it all again, put that same song in the audio track so we can edit it, and just mute the song that's in the video track."
Doing that would have prevented the whole timeline deletion. So you can image what I was saying.
"Why didn't you think of that BEFORE I deleted all the stuff?!?"
So that's how my day went.

So, I went to rip the DVD "The Shadow Elite"(That's the one with Aoshi in it) And it's so heavily scratched that the DVD-Rom won't read it! The DVD isn't mine! Meg is gonna kill me!!!! I remember watching the DVD before, so I know it didn't come into my hands scratched! I am so dead!
See, I think I know what happened. It happened yesterday. I was looking through my big piles of DVDs, searching for a certain Kenshin one, and I picked up "The Shadow Elite" The DVD wasn't on it's little holder thing inside(It was broken and one of the little tabs that keeps it in its place is gone. It came to me that way). The DVD was sliding around in the case, scratching itself on whatever it could find. That's just my theory, anyway.
So now, I either have to use the same scene with the no-name character for whatever he says, or find someone else I can cast there that I haven't used yet.. Well, maybe if I can find enough scenes of Saito talking....

So, I've placed pracitcally every character for the Identity, and just when I think there's no more characters, another one pops up. Either that, or some seen I need and can't do without isn't ripped.
I've ripped like 5 DVDs already for this, please, I don't want to rip any more! ><;;
Anyway, I think I'm oging to cast Aoshi as somebody. And that someone has a rather geeky voice. He used to be kenshin, but once I heard "Officer Rose" I had to switch around the casting. Now I have to do it again, because what used to be kenshin's line "We had an accident, we had an accident" turned into a no-name character's line. But then that same person who was the no-name character pops up a lot more then I thought in the trailer.. >.> This is definetly posing more problems then Fear Dot Hack ever did...
Anyway, It's turning out pretty good, and I like my custim-made lightning effects. Heh. Turns out you can use the perfect shades of blue and purple for just about anything and it looks really, REALLY, *REALLY* good. And electric-like.

So, I started the Identity trailer, right?
Well, I'm not doing it in order, rather, deciding who's going to be what character, and then once deciding, placing all the clips with one character throughout the whole thing first. Well, the Identity is just one big rain storm. Guess how many scenes there are with rain that I could find? One. Just one. So, I started with Yahiko.
I think I've found my true calling. I mean, AMVs are nice, I just think I get more of a "rush" when editing aniem trailers. Oh yeah..
So anyway, this trailer isn't going to be based off the original one. Nah. I'm changing the story a little since I have a lack of rain-filled scenes.
Everytime this one dude talks, it's going to go back to a scene with Yahiko, nect to a tree, while it's raining. Y'see, Yahiko is narrating the whole movie. So, you start off with yahiko remembering what happened, see a little movie, jump back to Yahiko narrating. Seems weird, but it works just fine.
I think I'm liking Anime Trailers, and I might just hop in the business. Even though trailers are harder to place in cons, I still like 'em.
Regardless, I *think* WuWu is getting jealous of me 'jumping in' _his_ career field... -

Yeah. I finished it. Since I didn't put too much effort into it, I didn't want to put it on local, so I exported it as wmv and put it on tripod. the wmv isn't that ugly. Just don't enlarge it. THEN it's ugly. Anyway, I turned out using Slayers Next and Kenshin. Read the description..
