  • .45 times three and you have the hours and minutes I worked on CnC. 2003-08-20 16:59:30 Only one minute and 3 seconds till the beauty is COMPLETE!
    Of course that will probably take a week or so considering the song gets more complex every 6 frames. =s

    Anyway, yesterday in Kendo was conditioning for a whole hour and a half!
    Yeah, it sucked. I can freely say my abs hurt(but I have a 2 pack instead of just a big beer belly, now! =P) and that my calves hurt even more.
    In fact... They're just plain stiff. I'm waddling like a duck because I can't walk. Erg. =s

    Then in Graphic Arts, I had to completely re color the whole picture! (ARGH!) Something happened with the brush I was using, and then I couldn't find that leather color for the LIFE of me! X(

    Regardless, I think it came out okay. I did the new layer for that hair and everything like this month's NEWTYPE mag said, and MAN! It looks kinda wierd, but it also looks so cool at the same time!
    I also managed to scan in my arm(after some minor difficulties) and then painted in Len's face well enough. All that I have left to do tomorrow are blend the skin tones together and then the finishing touches.(I need to find out what type of yellow tint I want for his glasses... Or find out if the character even HAS tinted glasses, now...)

    And Jealousy... I haven't started on it today, yet. But I WILL get it done and overwith before the Yoaicon AMV contest deadline. And if I get the vid done THIS friday, and WuWu says it's still good, I'll send it to the con.
    Yay!

  • :O! 2003-08-19 17:54:20 Didn't realize I hadn't made a journal entry in so long!

    I just went over 8 hours of work on "Jealousy"(Earthian/Dido Alternate Universe AMV) and have reached I guess the half way mark.
    I keep wuwu updated with Betas and so far he has not found ONE error! Yes, that's right NOTHING to complain about!
    NOTHING!
    In fact... He actually LIKES IT.
    What does wuwu like besides himself and me?

    If Wuwu doesn't say this video sucks, how good to you think it will be?
    Like Euphoria without the controversy and effects.
    Woo.
    Okay, now I'm acting elitist...

    ONTO SCHOOL!
    In Video Prod, I started CnC, and it took me just about 2 hours to record all the footage on the AVIO. Now I'm JUST beginning look through all the clips and splice them up into smaller pieces, such as individual camera angles I like, burnouts, donuts, and cool cars with cool paint jobs. =]
    I spliced down the music, because it's just too long and repetitive for me.

    Funny story.

    While I was recording the footage into the AVIO, I was listening to a mix CD of mine("AMV Mix". Songs from AMVs that I like) because I really don't like the repetitive music and car sounds from the game Gran Turismo.
    Everytime Sarah Brightman's "Eden" came on(Ripped straight from the Trigun remastered AMV by... Guess who..>.>)
    I kept getting these odd images in my head--scenes from Gran Turismo 3-- That went PERFECTLY with the beginning of "eden"! In fact, I actually considered changing the song I was using to "Eden" for awhile, until I figured that around the middle the beat was too complex with the lyrics to even try and match with the AVIO's limited strengths.

    But now I think that if I can maybe splice the music to only include the intro and outro, before the actual lyrics come in, I may just make an AMV using the car footage as a spoof. =]

    GRAPHIC ARTS!!

    I made this AWESOME T-Shirt design while messing around with Adobe Photoshop 7.0's fonts and airbrushes. It was all blue, because that happened to be the color it was set to when I opened up the program, but then I inverted the whole thing and It looks great! It's like I took molten lava and wrote "Graphic Arts"! Theres some small pixelation around the edges of the "magma" and black, though. Hardly noticable to the untrained eye.

    So today, I was bored and drew a quick sketch of Len, one of the main characters in "Shinpi", the comic I am writing. I drew him without his hair, and I didn't color it. I scanned it in Phooshop, and am coloring it now. I will add the hair on using various textres.(If this sounds familiar, it's because You and I both read the animating section using photoshop in NEWTYPE magazine ;])

    I found this cool brush and awesome color, so when I filled in Len's jacket, it looks like actual leather! Even the creaks and stuff!
    So cool. =]

    Well, I really don't want to brag or anything(okay, I will. This IS my journal, afterall), I consider myself a guru of computer coloring.
    I only use MSPaint on my own computer, and I can make some pretty phat images blend really nicely. Maybe I'll upload an example sometime.
    So, I expect GREAT results with Len and Photoshop.

    I can't wait for the part where I scan in my own arm to get a skin color!

  • well.... 2003-08-17 15:31:53 Alternate Universe video using "Eathian" and Dido's "Don't Think of Me" is in progress. I've edited for two hours and have gotten 34 seconds done. It looks good. =]

    I have no idea what I'm going to do for the chorus, though... I was planning to follow the beat... =

    Um, going to school tomorrow. Will begin working on CnC. Yay!
    Also, I changed my profile text and everything, so check that out.
