oh how many days have i wandered wonderingly.....
2011-05-12 05:13:56
oh wow, where to start? its been years, things have changed....and by years, i really mean years! I have gone through more than a book's worth of life if it were typed out, but i won't bore you all with that. safe to say that i only updated this because i read my other entries and thought to myself, "whoa....."
in any case, i'm not in the mood for ranting and raving, spilling my proverbial guts all over these webpages....try out the game trickster from ntreev, it's a very anime-ish feeling and pg13-friendly mmorpg. go find yourselves something to eat or drink, take a bathroom break, then sit down and watch some vids. mine, yours, everyone else's, it doesn't matter. go play with your neopets-i still do. if you like pokemon, there's a neat site called tppcrpg net you'd have some fun with. above all else, don't steal my fluffy, my pocky, or my Shippou. :P XD

long time, no see
2007-06-27 06:31:27
Wow, it's really been a while! it's been at least a year since I last posted anything here, and probably just as long since I last logged in for more than a minute or so.
Well, a lot of stuff has happened. I was planning on vacationing for about a month...but that turned into moving, likely for quite a while longer. Possibly the rest of my life.
Well, okay, not that long. I will move out of this godforsaken city eventually. But the certainty ends about there-I don't know when or how I'd move. I have to find a job here, get a place of my own and a computer of my own, since my computer was volunteered to my mother's friend after I didn't return for nearly a year.
So I use my friend's computer when he lets me, and I might just get a job and gt money to buy one for myself.
That's going to be difficult. I'm a compulsive buyer. If I see something I like, and if it's not an outrageous high price, and I have the money for it, I'll probably buy it.
Although I do have a bank account I keep forgetting about. So if I put all my money there, and never carry my ATM card with me, why, I'll be set!
Well, to be honest, I don't have an ATM card. I made sure to get the simplest account, the one with a little passbook thing, so that I wouldn't have an ATM card and then spend all my money. Like I do when I have cash in my pocket.
Which is all for the better, really. I need to start budgeting, seriously, before I wind up penniless.
Aside from that, my birthday is coming up soon! June 29th is going to be fun....I'm going to a party at my friend's house, then over to my boyfriend's house, and then I'll be back in time to go with my other friends for a pre-July 4th party, and then July 4th-why, it's party time! And July 5th and 6th? Two cousins have birthdays, so guess what? PARTY! Then it's going to be a weekend, and do you know what my friends are doing the weekend after July 4th? PARTY! And after that, from July 13-15th, it's Thunder in the Streets, a huge bike rally.
And guess what I'm doing then? That's right. PARTY.
Lots of parties. =^^= I'm gonna be totally smashed.
Oh well.

New day, new scene, new schedule
2006-05-14 06:18:28
Finally, I got my internet to charter. Well actually I'm running off an adaptor that gets a signal from a router, a private netweork sort of thing, but it works. Or it did. It kicks me off sometimes, or more like it shuts off and I have to restart the computer just to keep up a connection. At least i got more of my vids posted up. I hate the fact that I have no money right now. I would seriously go get a new computer and better programs, like maybe Adobe or Ulead. Premiere, maybe. Photoshow, After Effects, Pro 8.0, something better than this damn WMM. I swear I nearly threw the damn computer out the window the other day. It kept freezing up on me. My mother recruited me to make a mother's day video for her mother, and WMM crashed my computer twice, froze me at least a dozen times for up to an hour, and froze the rpogram itself every ten minutes. I need to get a better program, just no two ways about that. Well, a new hard drive first that can hold a lot mroe space, then I need a better program. Priorities, right? I can't expect to make too many videos without any space. I'm thinking about just getting a whole new computer. The DVDplayer on mine isn't working anymore. Well it hasnt' for a while, but now it's really starting to annoy me. I have to go Bittorent the episodes and movies I need just because my computer isn't working right. I've called a techie about it, and he couldn't do anything. He said it was shot, completely. I need to get a new one. I need a whole new computer. Then i can have a computer for the sole purpose of having AMV's, and the other one can be for fanfictions and such and so forth.
Yeah, that's the plan. Get a nice 250-300GB hard drive, 712 base RAM with three 512 RAM memory sticks installed, 2 DVD/CD RW drives, professional video programs, professional burning programs, LD flatscreen. That would be nice. Would probably cost me about $2000, all total, but damn, it would probably be worth it.
I already have a plan for about five or six more AMV's, but there's one in particular that I'm saving. I'm going to put it off until I have a good program, even if it takes me four or five years and the anime is long-dead by then. It's going to be an Inuyasha video, dedicated to the third movie (which I finally saw!! YAY!! I like the Japanese version better. English dubbing is horrible.) It's going to be mostly about Sesshoumaru and InuTaisho, how InuTaisho died and how Sesshoumaru felt about his father and all that other good stuff. I'm going to use one of the Lion King theme songs. I know, Lion King music isn't always amv material, but this song really works for what I want. And honestly, anyone who watches enough Inuyasha will at least understand a few similarities between Lion King and Inuyasha. So I think it fits. It's going to be my accomplishment, my project, my personal interpretation of a very controversial relationship in the series. Movie. Whatever.
Blah blah blah, right? Right. I'm not really expecting to be able to get any of the things I want anytime soon. I have no spare moeny to spend on those things, but I plan on getting some. Sometime. Eventually.
On a better note, I did manage to finish the picture-show video for my mom and her mother. My own present to my mother is going to be a little late, but I already told her that and she seems okay with it. She doesn't know what it is yet and I'm not telling, but I think she'll like it a lot.
Debating on whether or not to try and find a person who can teach me hw to speak proper Japanese. I know bits and snatches from animes and books and stuff, but then again most of us do. I'm not sure if I would be alright at learning the language though. I mean, some things about the Japanese language are so much more complex than the English language. I mean, granted, some things are simpler as well, but you know what I'm saying.
Also debating on whether to learn German. That would probably be easier/harder. Easier to learn visually, because of the familiarity with letters, but more difficult to understand conceptually, because of the differences in lingual roots. As in, words that look like ENglish words will automaticlaly be assumed to be similar to that particualr English word, where it may be something completely off-subject.
I talk too much. Er, type too much. Whichever. I might just decide to learn both, and if I don't like them, then I just won't use them. I already know passable Spanish, which by my definition means that I can find someone within a fifty foot radius of where I am and drag them over to translate for me. Lots of Spanish-speakers where I live. And anywhere I ever go, unless I'm traveling more than a hundred miles away.
Speaking of which, I'm going to be away from home for about a month or so, at least that's the plan. Visiting people over the summer, when I have a break. So I may or may not be able to upload and/or work on more AMV's. I might try, but then again I might not. Dunno yet.
Need to post some more of my fanfcis at fanfiction.net. Same screename, in case anyone reads this stuff-wolfygirl13 is my authornme there and my member name here. And my email, for Yahoo, and my Yahoo messenger ID. And my member name at theotaku.com, I think. Lots of stuff. Makes it easier for my friends to find me on any particular site.
Hmm, let's see, what else?
Oh, right. Well, I got in a mood for older music lately. 70's, 80's, early 90's rock. Some late 90's but not much. Usually I'm all late 90's and modern stuff. Dunno what it is, but hey, whatever. I don't mind. Lots of good music back in the days of the hairbands and hippies. Not all of the music I listen to is hippie music, mind you, nor is it all hairband muic, but some. I'm currently working through a fascination with Billy Joel's song Piano Man, Wallflowers song One Headlight, MeatLoaf's Life is a Lemon and I Want My Money Back, and songs along those lines.
Currently planning and contemplating on creating a parody vid dedicated to Naraku.
Currently planning and contemplating on publishig a few fanfics on fanfiction.net.
Currently planning and contemplating on making or buying another program (last actual rpogram I tried to create didn't turn out so well....ehehehehe....)
Currently planning and contemplating on whether or not to stop using the phrase 'currently planning and contemplating on...." at the beginning of each line.
Decided to go with my brilliat aforementioned idea of not using the same phrase anymore.
Now I'm out of ideas.
Well that was kind of boring and repetitive, not to mention completely obscure and randomly mildly entertaining to perhaps two or three people in the universe.
Now that I've said that, what's the point in goidn on? Goodbye, goodnight, I'm going to go sleep or something. Maybe eat. Or whatever.
Sayonara.

frustrating
2006-02-13 02:03:49
ugh, this is so frustrating!!! I need to upload all of my videos, i know that much-and I also need to add in a few more that I've done so far, but I just moved and was forced to downgrade from a dsl connection to freakin DIAL-UP!!! I HATE DIAL-UP!!! it's so slow and it takes hours to upload or download a video!!! I seriously need tog et something faster-charter digital cable has a special offer and I'm seriosuly considering taking them up on it, even though it costs more and I'm kind of on a budget. see, DSL (like I had before) isn't offered in this area-something about the service lines and whatnot. I don't know why; I'm right near a main road, and a lot of people in nearby neighborhoods can get dsl, so it's really kind of annyoing for the company to say that, but whatever. maybe charter can hook me up to a faster connection, if I can scrape up the money for it.
so far, I've noticed that all of my videos tend to have a lot of the same clips in them. that's because I only have so many clips, since most of them are either sent to me by generous friends or downloaded from certain sites. I realized that I only have a limited amount of space on my computer-my free drive space has dropped to 2.3 GB and that's not good. thinking about getting another hard drive and hooking it up with my other one to add more space. anyways, I have so many clips from the third movie, but I still haven't watched i yet!! gah!! I'm dying to see it, too, even though I know that the english version is probably a horrible translation (big surrise there), I don't want all the subtitles getting in my way. As long as the translators don't ruin the storyline, I guess it's okay if they slip up once or twice.
anyways, like i was saying.....too many of my vids have the same clips. don't get me wrong, I like my vids so far, and each one by itself is pretty decent, but take them all and put them in a playlist, and you'd see what I meant......
I really need to find a few good sites with high-quality clips that aren't too overwhelmingly space-consuming. also, my vids would be much better quality, but the only progs I have to make vids with are WMM and VDub, and Vdub won't use wmv files, so I have to convert them to avi if I'm going to use them. I know avi is much better quality, but seriously, a vid that's 50MB as a wmv turns out somewhere around 700MB as an avi. Now I like my vids, don't get me wrong, but I don't quite have the space, the patience, or the energy to like my videos that much. But I do see that lots of people make avi vids that are small but high-quality-I need to figure that one out; I mean how to make a small but high-quality vid. I have a few random file converters, like AVSconverter for my vids and MP3CON for my music, but I still haven't figured it out. need to ask around for that.
well anyways I'mrambling too much and I need to stop before I rile myself up into a swearing tangent over my horrible internet connection.....it's been a long day and night, and I need to get up and drag my ranting self to school inthe morning-or I need to at least get off my lazy butt, if I don't have to get up, because my insomia more often than not prevents me from sleeping at night. so, I'm done writing here, I guess I should stop. sayonara.
