- huh?? dvd suspecions 2005-09-12 16:42:08 i was looking at some upcoming anime dvds and i read the description for the upcoming One Piece dvds and on the back they say Zoro. i was like wtf?? i was expecting the 4kids translation Zolo instead. this makes me wonder. is this a different english version by Toei them selves since its being released by them. i looked on the cover of the dvd and there was no 4kids logo unlike their other dvds. then again those arnt being distributed by Funimation. personaly i think Viz would have done a better job at editing One Piece. there would have been less edits for one. i mean look at the Naruto dub edits compared to One Piece. at least Viz shows some blood in Naruto. im also surprised that some of the story arcs were cut completly for One Piece. darn shame. and i was really enjoying it too. well if the dvds coming out for One Piece are uncut i may buy them instead of chucking out a few hundred some dollars for some of the R2 dvds. it will be a cheaper alternative. but im having my doubts on these upcoming One Piece dvds.i guess well have to wait and see. out.
- another one bites the dust... 2005-09-11 22:30:27 well i finally finished watching Full Metal Panic. pretty good series. the ending could have been a little better. but other than that its fine. anime series with only 24 or 26 eps dont really seem to have a great ending to me. even with ones i really like, like Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop and Trigun just to name a few. well at least theres another series to FMP. will have to pick it up when theres a box set for it. now i just need to finish watching Gunslinger Girl. all i need is that second volume... well thats it for now. out.
- so far... 2005-09-09 15:32:08 well ive watched the first 12 eps of Full Metal Panic. its getting pretty good so far. ive also watched the first disc of Gunslinger Girl. another good one i might add. surprisingly theres lots of character development within the first disc. especially in a 13 eps sereis. usually there is either no character development or lack of in only one season series. i am now inclined to get Najica Blitz collection. it reminds me of a female version of James Bond. it looks like the One Piece game is out. the graphics are chessey looking. especially for the GBA. if i wasnt so busy collecting anime dvds i would pick it up. well thats about it for now. out.
- urge to kill rising... 2005-09-08 23:56:52 for the past few times ive logged on ive seen nothing but wmv formats on the new vid on the block.im tired of seeing it. that format must die. its very rare that i see an avi or an mpeg video. the only good thing about wmv is that it youll get the video in the amount of time it says to download. unlike avi or mpeg. some times if your lucky or have dsl(lucky basterds) you can get it in three hours(standard dail up) then all of a sudden it goes to 5 or 8 hours. the only disadvantage of avi or mpeg is the dl time. but the one thing that tells me that if your video is in wmv quality format is that the quality is poor. ive only seen a few good wmv files that are in better quality than avi or mpeg. usually those types of wmv are in 90+ MB range. ok im done bitching for now. i came on to write about some thing else but i think ill save it for the next entry. out.
- im not worthy!! 2005-09-06 15:25:43 damn it im tired of seeing all these new videos pop up on the new vid on the block saying that there videos arnt that good. if there not that good then dont post them. simple as that. another thing is if you say they arnt good or not as good then people well most likely not download them. use some common sense people. well im done bitchin for now. out.
