  • The top star scale sucks... 2003-06-09 15:37:44 Well, the vids that are in the top star scale are either videos that I've already seen or videos that I don't really appreciate...

I expect AMV in a near future to become something more artistic like the stuf f Demo coders do on computers.

Long life to Jebadia, David_Violence, Koopiskeva, the Dinosaurs group, AbsoluteDestiny !

AMVs that only match the lyrics or stick to the beat are boring me... (hey, that's the kind of AMVs I make...)
I guess that since I'm able to do that kind of vids myself, I don't find anything magic in these AMVs....

No personnal offense for anybody here, but videos that are only action with some rock/pop song (and even dance music) are always the same.
Check the ones that are in the top star scale, especially when they use Trigun, Cowboy bebop, Hellsing or Kenshin...
yes, a music video with these Anime and some surfers's rock is kinda cool, but now I'm fed up with these vids...

I want some videos that I don't like the first time I watch it. A video that I learn to appreciate... not a video that is MADE to be enjoyed by everyone.

Fuck the surfers music, SUM41, offspring, blink 182 and the others...
  • DDR3 - AniMix - Future 2003-06-04 06:11:41 Well, finally I can say I've finished my DDR track...
Some scenes are not as good as I would have expected, but overall I think it's quite good. (and funny, well-synched, and...)
I'm really proud to be part of such a project...
Arg, I can't wait to see the whole DDR3, and to get some comments...

I hope I'll have time in the future to make more AMVs, but I'm not a student anymore (yep, I'll be Computer science engineer in 23 days...) so it might be difficult... Uh, I was only beginning to learn how to use Premiere...

Some tracks are available again for AniMix part 2. If you read this and want to join, some info is at www.animixamv.fr.st (we still hope for this project to be the AMV with the most creators involved...we are currently 28 for 20 minutes , and the DDR3 has 50 particpants for 70 minutes, so we can reach it with parts 3 and 4 of Animix :)

It seems that in each project with many participants, some people drop their tracks. I thought at the beginning that this was due to the fact that I'm not so well known at .org (well, at least less known than Hsien :) , but I see that it happened for MI:2, and it's happening for the DDR3... I think some creators don't realize that participating to such a project is more difficult than creating your own AMV. There are deadlines and technical requirements...
Well, anyway, giving up is not a bad thing, as long as the creator who gives up sends an email to the peoplee who manage the project...

I won't be in charge of parts 3, 4 and 5 for AniMix. Shiryu 23 will manage them. I'll meet him in a few weeks to give him the 5GB project o_O
  • Finished my DDR Track ? 2003-05-31 16:43:24 Uh, I've finished my track for the ddr project today...
But I'm not totally satisfied with it.
If I find more time, I'll make some frame-by-frame editing, but at the moment I've worked too much on it to do more...

Finally, we might complete the first part of Animix in about a week, if the new participants work fast enough to complete their AMV in a few days...
Yes, I think it will be a very good AMV. The concept of 20 second for each video works very well, as I expected. When the viewer enjoys a video, it's already finished, and you keep the good impression in your mind. When you don't like a video, it's so short that you forget it with the next one...

So yes, waiting for the two last tracks and we'll compile and release it :)
hope to release it in a few weeks
  • /Me does not want to work so.... new journal entry 2003-05-20 03:51:19 Urk, I spent 3 hours yesterday to do some cool effect and... it sucks...
Well, it doesn't really suck, but it tends to disturb the viewer...

Seen Matrix 2 yesterday, quite good.

Waiting 6 more tracks to compile the first part of animix.... All tracks for parts 1 and 2 (65 tracks !) have been taken.
I think there are about 35 creators involved in this project...it becomes huge, I hope I'll have time to manage it till the end of the mix (56 minutes, about 190 tracks...)

OH, and there is this pretty girl waiting for the bus every morning...I see her from the car each morning...I wanted to give her a letter (not really a love letter, I don't know her :) today, but at the last moment, when my friend parked his car near the bus stop, I realized she had "THE" ring on the wrong finger... (which means she's going to get married soon...)
    CRAP !
  • AniMix and DDR 2003-05-18 10:49:08 I'm satisfied with the tracks we've received at the moment for Animix. This video is really gonna be cool, but I'd love people who haven't sent their AMV yet to send it soon.

Some of the creators have problems uploading...
Um, I wanted to compile a preview today, guess I'll have to wait a week or two....

I've started my track for the DDR3, but...it's TOP SECRET ^_^
The effects I want to put in my vid are FAR more difficult than in any of my other videos, maybe it won't work well...
I will have to edit frame by frame a 5-10 seconds sequence... uuuurk, maybe I won't do it...
    I'll see

Em, Involved in two big AMV projects, when I should start looking for a job... I have no life o_O
