  • Weekend 2003-11-03 03:00:32 Wow, this weekend was full of AMVs o_O

    Animix 3 is compiled. It was REALLY difficult. We've encountered technical problems I had never seen before, desynch problems, framerate conversion problems, Premiere problems...
    It took me 7 hours at shiryu's to add a few transitions, compile it, and stuff, yet it was desynchronised....gaaaaaaaah
    Now it's almost done.
    VirtualDub is rendering a preview version for participants, and in a few days we'll publicly release it.

    Also, Christophe has been working really hard to make the ending credits for part 3 alone (the one that will be a local video).
    I've seen a few videos....OMG it rocks...I hope He'll finish it quickly...

    I've seen a preview of Ambroise's next AMV. This one is going to be my favourite of all times. Somehow it reminds me of David Violence's work, but it's far better. (No offence for DV, I love your amvs, what I mean is that Ambroise's work adds some things to your original concepts)

    Tracks for DDR4 are ready, I'll make my selection soon :D

    Yessss ! I've seen BBT's latest video before she removes it from her server. It's simply brilliant. I watch it again and again :P

    Two editors didn't reply to my emails...well, they'll be removed tomorrow from the project, and we'll try to find others who can do a track in about 1 week o_O .

    Christophe is working on the ending credits for part 3 alone (he's the one who made the ending credits for part 1 ^_^)
    The credits for the 3 first parts linked together will be the rolling title that was used in part 2...yes it's not the best, but well, I think we'll try to make some good ending credits when the whole project is made.

    So what ?
    Why could it fail to be released in a few weeks ?
    Well...Shiryu's computer...
    Ill see him on a saturday evening, an well have something like 4 hours to finish the transitions he hasn't done, fix the flaws, and compile the project...phew...
    And of course I don't think I'll be able to get the project on my smal hard drive...so if we fail, we'll have to delay...for months, maybe...I hope it won't happen.

    I'm a jerk, I hope Quu isn't angry at me (AWA9 must have been really hard for him :| )

    Animix1.3 is going well, (I hope). Tracks come one after the other.
    It takes time for two reasons :
    1) shiryu23 has a 56k modem, and downloads about one video in 2 days :|
    2) It's shiryu's birthday in a few days, and I have to make an amv in a really short amount of time, therefore I can't download the tracks for animix at the moment...
    (Yeah, Shiryu doesn't come here really often, so he shouldn't see this message)

    The idea for this video is pretty simple but quite good IMO. Nico told me I stole Ek's Failed Experiments' idea... yeah, of course it is one of the videos that inspired me, but I still don't understand why he used the word "steal".
    Ack. My video is full of "new" ideas that differ from "Failed experiments..."
    But anyway, you'll see that in a few weeks, and people will tell me.

    I've had a new idea for a multi-creator project...I spoke about this with JCD, but we couldn't meet an agreement...which I understand, because my idea is...well...strange. More info on this in a few months, if we actually start the project :)

    Yes I was rude in my comments (not in the marks, this vid deserves 10's in almost all fields).

    I you read this, Ian, I really apologize.
    You know that I like the vids you do, and I really didn't want to be mean or whatever.

    My comments were wrong, I edited that. I still don't know how to express what I want.
