The Two Towers, New Year's Eve, and jeans skirts
2002-12-28 21:47:19
I got an e-mail from dredd today saying that he wants to take me to see The Two Towers very soon, as in before the new year. I'm not complaining, but I'm hoping he'll suggest and exact time and day before too long. Hopefully, he'll call tomorrow.
He also wants me to go with him to the New Year's Eve service at Temple Baptist Church. I'm still waiting for an okay from my parents on that one.
I know it probably sounds kind of dumb, but since I hardly ever listen to anyone's opinion anyway, I'll just say it. I'm trying to decide whether or not to wear this cute jeans skirt that I made to the New Year's thing or the movies. Guess I'll just wear it to whichever one happens first, on one condition: I have to get a pair of tan ribbed tights first. No way am I going to let my legs freeze for the sake of fashion! ;)

This has quite possibly been the best Christmas ever.
Last night was AWESOME!!! dreddnott came to the x-mas eve program and I gave him his present, sans portrait. (don't worry; my mom took a couple pics of us sitting next to a tree. When she gets the roll developed, I'm going to use my grad $$ from gramma to enlarge one of the pics) I think he liked it ;)
Then he gave me my present. Earlier yesterday he phoned me and gave me a hint to what it was:
"It goes 'jingle, jingle', but it's not jingle bells."
I was pretty stumped. I thought maybe it was one of those pre-paid phone cards.
I couldn't have been more wrong.
We were sitting on my front porch, opening presents from his sister, when she told him to give me my present.
"Okay, it's in my pocket," he said.
'Must be pretty small to be in his pocket,' I thought to myself.
He pulled out a small white jewelry box. I think my eyebrows went up a bit.
For a split second, I thought it might be a you-know-what. But my logic took over. A you-know-what doesn't go 'jingle jingle.'
I slowly opened it and peered inside.
"Ohhhhh!" The breath I had been holding came out in a whisper as I withdrew a charm bracelet with a dolphin, (which I totally LOVE) cross, and heart.
I think I said something like "It's beautiful," but I'm not sure. I just remember that Jacob was grinning like crazy as he helped me put it on.
I spied a long chain still hiding in the box, so I pulled it out. It was a necklace with a clear dolphin hanging from it.
I must've whispered 'thank you!' a hundred times after Jacob helped me put that on, too. He was all smiles now.
"It looks prettier on you than I thought it would," he kept saying the rest of the night. I couldn't stop smiling and admiring it.
Just before he left my house last night, he tried to pick me up from the couch. I laughed a little.
"You're not THAT strong!"
He must've took my comment as a challange, because he put one arm under my knees and the other one behind my back, and before I knew it, he was carrying me! I was scared to death, though, so after a few feet he put me down.
Anyway, that's it for now. Merry Christmas!

Pomp and Circumstance

In case you haven't figured it out from the title, I GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL!!!!! Yesterday, to be specific. My dad took us out to the Golden Gate Chinese Restaraunt for dinner, then we drove around an expensive neighborhood looking at Christmas lights ;) I had so much fun! Ionly wish that I could've gone caroling with dreddnott :( Oh, well.
His present is nearly done; I just have to get the picture of us into the album, then I can wrap it and give it to him on Christmas Eve!
He got snow! No fair! I hope it snows down here, HARD, so we can have a snowball fight. (although I'd prefer to have the battle as his house) Then I could show him what 'Douse the Mouse' is. hehehehehe!!!!

"Oh, Chistmas tree, oh Christmas tree, you look a little naked..."

Oops; did I say I was graduating on the 18th? I meant the 20th.
We got the tree today, and it's sitting in the living room waiting to be decorated :)
I finally got paid! WA-HA-HOOEY! Now I can get the photo album for dredd's present. (well, part of it, anyway ;D) hehehehe!!!!!!
Went to his (dreddnott's) jazz concert on the 12th. He played that bass fiddle like a pro! The other musicians weren't bad either! If I closed my eyes, I could've sworn I was listening to one of my dad's 40's jazz tapes. I kid you not; they were THAT GOOD!!!
On the way there and back, Jacob played a System of a Down tape; kinda funny, especially the song about a pogo stick.
"Pogo pogo pogo pogo pogo pogo pogo...."
There was another song that was really gross, too:
"My tapeworm tells me what to do..."
YUCK! (now I know where he got all that material for his journal entries...)
I was laughing my head off, though. I'm getting used to his sometimes twisted sense of humor ;) It's easier for me to talk to him, too.
(none-of-anyone's-beeswax side note: we French-kissed about five times before he left for home. My sis is still grossed out that I actually enjoy sticking my tounge in Jacob's mouth, but I just tell her it's an accquired taste ;P )

When you wish upon a star.....it always comes crashing down on you...

arghhh...does anyone know the artist and the name of that song that goes: "I see a red door and I want to paint it black........I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black...." Tara Lapinski skated to it recently, and it would make an awsome AMV...except I don't have the software to do that. If someone could do that for me and let me know, I would be eternally grateful! =)
Getting ready to graduate high school on the 18th...and I'd like to say one thing about pre-algebra: IT TOTALLY SUCKS!!!!
There. I feel much better after screaming my lungs out ;)
I'm probably going to take animation classes at Victor Valley Community Collage, starting in January. I'm not one bit scared about going to a public school for the first time in my life, being homeschooled and all. I mean, I practically know the entire campus layout, even though I've only been there a couple of times, once on a date for a jazz recital, and the other time for a play. Sheesh, I've even picked out a lunch spot!
