I'm getting stronger...faster...better...
2003-04-03 21:36:26
I can't belive what a difference three months can make. I started taking TaeKwonDo in January, and now I have muscles in my arms! I'm much stronger now, my reflexes are lighting-fast, I have better balance, and I can walk for a mile without feeling like limp spaghetti. I can even bend over backwards, almost do the splits, and do several gymnastic poses. hehehehehehe!!!!! (not to mention I'm probably about five pounds lighter ;)
I can barely wait untill tomorrow to go to the college for computer lab time. I did this awesome drawing that I want to show Jacob and Rachel; that and I just want to hang out with them. It'll be the fourth time this week that I've seen them. (that's a new record for me!)

"Walking on velvet green Scotch pine...isn't it rare?" -Jethro Tull

The above title is a lyric from one of the (eight!) cds Jacob gave me. I listened to one of them the whole way through, and I think I might have a favorite new love song ;) He puts the most interesting music on those disks; every time I listen to them I catch something new. It's really sweet how he picked songs he knew I loved.
I can't belive it's been a year and three months since I first met him. It feels like I've known him forever. I feel so comfortable around him; like I can tell him anything and not be embarrised. (that's more than I can say for some of my girl friends!) I know that I can trust him, and that means a lot to me. When I say "I love you", I really mean it. :)

Be nice to me...I gave blood today =)
2003-03-11 22:34:06
It's not as disgusting as it sounds; there was a blood drive at the college today, and I went. I thought it'd hurt a lot, but it turned out a shot hurts more. I got a free bubble cd wallet that reminds me of a lava lamp, and a 2003 planner; both look really nice. And I got to eat some of my favorite junk food afterwards: Mother's Circus Animal cookies, Nacho Cheese Doritos, and Chee-tos. Yum!
I also found out something really funny from Rachel today; Jacob is scared of needles! He actually passed out when he got his hepititis b shot!
Somehow, my arm doesn't hurt so much now ;)

"AAAAAAACHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"
2003-02-18 22:46:14
Yuck. I have the flu, so I won't be able to go to classes tomorrow. It's pretty bad; sometimes when I cough or sneeze, it hurts so bad it feels like my ribs are broken. owwwwwwww...my head hurts, too, and even though I'm shivering, it feels to me like I have a fever. All I want to do is go to sleep and now wake up untill I'm better.
I can't even see Jacob this week, and I was going to give him a chocolate rose for a late Valentine's Day present. So now I have to wait untill next week to see him. :( I miss him... *sniff, sniff*
I finally got P.O.D.'s cd Satalite today in the mail. It's pretty good. My favorite songs are still 'Alive', 'Youth of the Nation', and 'Boom'.
"BOOM! here comes the BOOM! here comes the boys from the south, BOOM! here comes the BOOM! how you like me now?"

Public buses are EVIL! (but good friends make up for it)
2003-02-11 20:37:17
Ugh. I did NOT have a good morning. Last night in class, my animation teacher said that we needed to use the computer lab today to do a couple assignments. So I got up at 7:00 this morning and walked to the Adelanto bus station.
Don't even ask about the weather.
Okay, I'll tell you anyway.
It was pouring rain and snow mixed together; slush. The streets and ground were soaked. And since I had to walk over a mile in that muddy mess, I got wet, too. When I got on the bus, I collapsed in a soggy heap onto the nearest seat. That trip went fine. When it arrived at the next stop in Victorville, I immediatly got onto the next bus.
Then I saw the route: St. Mary's Hospital.
Darnit! I had taken the wrong one! So I had to stay on the bus the whole way out to Apple Valley, and then back to the station in Victorville. I felt about ready to cry.
I finally got on the right one, but so much time had been wasted that I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get to the lab before it closed.
When I arrived at the college, I raced to the digital animation building. But as I jogged up to it, I saw a note taped to the door. It read "Lab closed on Tuesday. Classes will resume on Wednesday."
All that time, energy, and hassle; all that, just so I could have this thrown in my face? I started to cry. I mean really cry.
I went to my usual spot for meals or study-a picnic bench next to the lake-only to find a used condom carelessly strewn on the table, the wrapper laying a few feet away on the ground. I started to feel sick.
Now I was really in tears. All of what I had already been through, and now this? I turned away and cried my eyes out.
After a few minutes, I decided to go to the Student Activities Center for lunch. I dug into the bag of almonds and raisins I had packed as I started my homework: reading chapters five and six in my animation book. After I was done reading chapter five, I was still hungry, so I went to the Del Taco on campus and ordered some nachos. It was just a small bag of corn chips with hot Velveta-style cheese, but it was good.
I decided to go to Dr. Miller's office to finish studying. (people, including Jacob and some of his friends, usually hang out there.)
As I was coming up the walk I saw Rachel. I smiled and waved her down. We went inside and I told her what happened. We chatted for awhile, and I cracked open my book again, chatting with Jacob's friends between reading. I stopped for a bit to call my mom and tell her what happened. She told me that Jacob had called early this morning, all excited about the snow. When she had told him that I had taken the bus, he was like "What'd she do that for?!?!" I cracked up. She said that she'd call dad and tell him he needed to pick me up.
I hung up and went back to Doc's office to continue studying. I listened to one guy playing some ragtime music on a piano. He was incredible! Me and another guy in the office were astonished.
"Dang, he's good!" I exclaimed, my eyes the size of golf balls.
"Really good!"
We were even more amazed when the piano player played the same song as fast as humanly possible; without missing a beat! We looked at each other with our mouths hanging open
"I'm surprized his fingers don't get tied up in knots!" I exclaimed.
The other guy just nodded and shook his head. "Man, wish I could play like that!"
"I can't play, period!"
Rachel came in just before I had to leave.
"Wish I could stay around till Jacob gets here," I said, frowning. Rachel nodded.
"See you tomorrow!" I called out as I walked to the car.
Well, that day wasn't all bad. I think I made six new friends. Maybe more.
I have a test tomorrow, so I'd better skedaddle!
