  • 2006-03-23 02:02:18 arrgh...this endevor took way too long.
Finally home on spring break (not so relaxing though...had to lug my big calc book with me :c )
got to put together the computer made entirely from parts I found on ebay.
    Suprisingly enough, everything works

had tons of trouble trying to install xp professional on my raid setup.
(lets hope that vista is better)

...so much for working on my amv this week (sigh) perhaps later...(after my calc)
  • 2006-03-13 17:19:16 I got to take apart my laptop...piece by piece.
Compaq seems to be particularly evil when it comes to upgrading memory
after removing the battery, hard drive and dvd drive, I was finally able to to get the bottom of my laptop off.

now my laptop is supposed to have 2 memory slots, but after taking apart half of the computer, I still couldn't find the second one.
I'd have to take out everything (I mean everything) to get to it.

the good thing about all of this is that I learned how to take apart a laptop, and I didn't break mine ^_^

going back home to Minnesota for a week, in a week
where I'll build my new computer, and hopefully get some work done on my amv >_>
  • 2006-02-26 19:21:23 bah...
    another no-editing weekend :(
and I thought I would've had it easy since I had 2 exams and a quiz over Thurs-Fri
at least I didn't have to spend 12 hours studying like I did last weekend

my mouse died on me too (wireless optical)...which I could fix (if I had time to go get batteries) so I've been reduced to using the mousepad on my laptop (at least I can still pwn the noobs on battle.net :evil)

hmm...I wonder if anyone would be willing to be a beta tester for my new amv (pm or email at d_man_f@hotmail.com if interested)
  • 2006-02-17 00:37:08 ...I hate when I can't finish my programming homework...
    such an empty feeling...
I guess I was right when I thought that this semester was going to be rough.

    AMV UPDATE
uhh...guess I completely blew my deadline, but I am working on it.
about 1 hour every other day. Seems to be working well.
getting close the filling all of the time, but then I get to go back and replace footage.

some of this is looking promising (imo), I aim to make most if not all transitions seemless.

out of all the ops I got an my latest amv, I think jubjub2's has helped me the most

got after effects 6.5, so I 'm also looking forward to that
  • AHHH!!! Which one!?! 2006-01-24 20:08:11 ahh!!!
hurry, time is not something I have lots of.
    should I get an AMD 64 X2 3800+ for a total of about $320
    or
