meh, guess my name doesn't stand by itself too well (yet)...not too suprising seeing as how I've only completed 3 vids, but I was kinda hoping for a little more.
Managed to get 99 hits within one week of my vid's release, and with not being on the new vid on the block I guess it's alright.
36 downloads so far, definately more attention than both of my other vids (at one week after release).
planning to start an op exchange in the near future...once I get a little more time (if you haven't guessed, school is keeping me pretty occupied this semester)
I'm waiting for my dad to call...and then I get to do laundry (oh boy)
reading what other people say in thier journals can be interesting, but I usually just skip over the ones that write in one big block
last note for now, wish me luck on my next physics exam if you would.
I'd like to pass this one on my own power (no curve/extra credit)

going to watch all 14 episodes of Haruhi...IN A ROW!!! WHOOOT
had a little more luck trying to use the x.264 CLI
it actually encodes...until the end.
for some reason it always gives me an error right when it's about to finish, so I never get a good encode.
looked online for info, found out that I needed .NET framework 2.0, so I got it...and it still doesn't work.
I'd really like to be able to use x.264...it makes my 5.15GB uncompressed file 32.2 GB
and that's (what I'm assuming will turn out) to be the same as the first pass of xvid's 2 pass encode
anyone else know why it's not working?

yep...I'm in my programming class.
it's pretty boring, so I brought my laptop (it's pretty much the only thing keeping me awake, and if I fall asleep in this class I feel really bad for the rest of the day)
this is the third time I've had lecture on recursion (I've had it in all my programming courses so far, a total of 3)
When 808-buma asked for [dance] amvs I used the opportunity to try to get my video out some more. for some reason, I can't seem to bring myself to enter it in any cons (even though I wanted to show my most recent...or at least send it in to AWA or ACEN)...maybe if I catch one at the start of the contest entry period I'll feel more at ease about entering it.
Tonight is the halloween party for my anime club. free pizza and pop for members ($8 otherwise)
almost worth the $15 membership just to go to this party ^_^ (not to metnion all the anime I've seen because of this club)
Usually I think Trythill is out to get me (he is usually right when he corrects me, it just seems like he goes about doing it in a harsh way) but I think I'll try one of the links he gave [to someone else]. Megui is giving me problems (memory access violations, tried to read/write protected data) so I can't really make x.264 encodes
*if anyone can help me with megui let me know*
mencoder is sounding like a pretty good alternative (though I haven't had much luck with command-line things)

...man, Genji is creepy.
His mother dies early in his life (probably due to stress and ill will of others).
He has a child with one of his father's (the emporer) wives who is later given the throne instead of Genji.
He weasels his way into some Lady's house and takes her away to an abandoned house to get it on...but then she dies because the jealous spirit of Genji's other "companion" (who was too old for Genji) possesses her.
Genji travels to the mountains and sees a child who looks like his mother (and the lady he had the child who would later become prince) and kidnaps her. (this child is the daughter of a prince...who is the brother of the lady that Genji had a child with)
creepy on so many levels
*shudders*

ac circuts are going to suck...I just know it
dc circuts with inductors was bad enough
by some miracle...I'm managing to get an A- in this class (physics2 ...even with a 49/100 on the first exam)
the second exam is coming up too @_@
finally realized how to do the homework that we were assigned over the weekend in calc3
...instructor just writes a bunch of numbers and letters on the board, with very little explaination of how these numbers/letters work. (it isn't helping many people to sit and watch this)
Started reading "The Tale of Genji" in history, and after one chapter...it's alright.
Not [as exiting as] sci-fi, but then again not [as dull as] the Kojiki either
