alright...got done with my calc exam. and for the most part it went well (I wasn't able to finish it. some of those questions needed a lot of work)
ended up studying the majority of chapter 15 and a little bit of chapter 16 (the problems that I did took up 2 pages front and back)
I'll probably do my physics homework after I get back from tutoring tonight...
we got in on friday (IIRC) and it's due on [this coming] monday and I'm actually glad that I didn't start it yet.
today in an optional physics lecture we went over parts of the homework.
1 question was stated akwardly
1 question had faulty info given (which turns out to give you really bizzare answers)
1 question had vital information omitted(sp) and the problem was impossible to do without that info.
*there are always a total of 7 questions on these assignments, though they do have anywhere from 1 part to 5 parts for a single question
I really should get on booking a train so I can get home after finals (fri dec 15 - fri dec 22 is the final exam week)...maybe after tutoring
some morons (probably drunken morons) decided that it would be funny to tee-pee the floor (2 floors in a house in the dorms...there was toilet paper everywhere)
because of some other morons last year (probably drunken morons) there was a new policy enstated that splits any vandilism/damage equally among the residents of that respective house.
there is no frikin way I'm going to pay because someone(s) decided to drink (most likely underage) and did that, so I cleaned it up this morning...hopefully before it was reported.
it's things like this that make me think that people shouldn't be allowed to drink until they're older than 21 (around 28 probably, whnever car insurance rates start to go down...or even better, until they're married), and that offenders should be put away in jail for years (or sent to re-hab...or even better! put something in them that makes them sick if any alcohol enters their system)
...frikin drunks

studying went better last night, reviewed sections 15.1 -15.4 (I need to review the rest of chapter 15...that's through 15.8, and preferably 16.1-16.6 but if I don't get to go through chapter 16 it won't be the end of the world)
and I still need to do my history reading for tomorrow
started to work (a little bit) on my next project.
50 seconds long...so it shouldn't take a year to complete
yet another entry brought to you from programming class...the concept is new (trees and binary search trees) but the presentation is pretty dull
about 4-5 days ago I stumbled upon this site...and there are some pretty cool things on there.
2 shirts really struck me as funny, the first one has this text:
$> man woman
$> segmentation fault (core dumped)
the second one has this text:
roses are #FF0000 (if i didn't screw this up, this is the hexadecimal code for red)
violets are #0000FF (if i didn't screw this up this is the hexadecimal code for blue)
All my base
are belong to you
if you get the jokes and find it funny, please reply... it's always nice to know that I'm not the only computer nerd on here

...I fail at studying.
I'm burned out, I can't do much of anything at once.
I have to try to study, but that just makes it worse.
it feels like trying to drive my car up my dad's driveway when the rear strut went out (one wheel was being supported by the wheelwell)
arrrgh...there isn't any other way to put it.
I wan it to be over, I need a break...or at least someone to go out and have a night on the town with, but as with classes ending...it seems to be in the distance.
anybody here get a Wii today? I want to hear more about what people think

I don't like trying to find volumes of equations in 3+ variables...it shouldn't be too different from the problems with 2 variables but I'm stuck.
programming exam went alright...the last two questions (write your own code) were tougher than I thought. Got it done (eventually, though it did take a bit more thought than usual)
now for the suprise, no calc homework (I should review for the exam, but we didn't get a new section today) unusal, but I'm not complaining.
physics, homework is due after thanksgiving...so I'm not in a hurry there.
programming, done and looking like no homework over the break.
been feeling pretty tired waking up this week, maybe my schedule is finally getting to me (I get anywhere between 4 and 8 hours of sleep a night) but a nice weekend of sleeping in should leave me feeling alright on monday.
found out this week that one of my friends (and his brother too, also a friend) is most likely moving down to Florida, a bit sad...but what can ya do. My group of friends has pretty much disbanded (I don't want to be so bold as to say that it started when I left, but it certainly didn't get any better)
Two moving to Florida
One seperated from the rest of us about a year ago and is in St.Cloud (MN)
Two went to the local community college
One went to Indiana for college (and is on trimesters, to the best of my knowledge everyone else is on semesters)
One I haven't talked to for awhile (don't remember where he's going to college)
One is in a not so good situation (I won't elaborate, but it isn't prison or anything to do with the law)
another one moved to South Dakota a few years back, and one or two summers ago I went down to pick him up for a party (I drove down from around Minneapolis, MN to Souix Falls, SD and stayed the night then drove back up for the party the following day)
I can't really drive long distances very easily (at least not alone)
such is the fate of a loner (I guess)
...man, I can't believe I put myself into a depressed mood from writing this

Hooray! 1000 hits
...well, ok I'm 4 short but it will happen this entry
I'm bored now...watching a show about the world's largest particle accelerator
kinda interesting...but not the stuff I'd like to hear about.
programming exam #2 tomorrow and calc exam #2 in one week
I wonder why the dorm staff feels the need to test the fire alarm...every week
we haven't even had one person pull the alarm yet (it was almost a daily occurance last year)
got the list of spring semester classes today...so I can start planning my classes.
so far it's looking like this:
CivEng 201 (statics)
MatlEng 201 (engineering materials)
ElecEng 234 (analytic methods in engineering)
one more class that I still have to decide on, but I was pointed to a linguistics class...I don't like the humanities options that I have (6 credits total...3 to go after this semester)
got a chance to pimp mah vid, still looking to do an excahnge...just not now
