hooray! someone remembers me when i'm not around.
I go back to school in 10 days...so I'll be on sporadicically for a while longer.
for reasons I can't discuss, I had to get AIM a while back...maybe now we can talk more...and stuff. (pm's just don't cut it anymore. I need SPEED man)
finally got mah wii.
woke up at 10am on tuesday, went to Target. asked if they got any, and they didn't, so I went to Best Buy to waste some time before heading over to gamestop.
Picked up the second disk of FMP the second raid, borwsed for awhile and then headed over to gamestop.
well...they didn't get their daily shipment yet (it's about 10:45 now) so I just decided to wait for it to come in (didn't have anything better to do...and there were already two people standing around)
so I wait...for one hour, for tow hours, for three hours (I really didn't have anything better to do)
the shipment comes in, and they got 3 wii's (one of the other people standing around when I got there already had a wii). I was number 2 in line.
Headed back over to BB to pick up Zelda and Trauma Center (but not before I securely stashed my loot in my trunk)
Figured out what was making vdubmod not work on my desktop...and now I can take clips again. (let the video continue...after I play some more wii)
meGUI now works on my laptop, so it looks like I'll be making this vid an x.264 encode.
My dad paid my tuition, and the university got it, so I don't have to worry about that anymore. (I'll be paying it, it's just that I don't have access to the money until later today or tomorrow...tuition was due tomorrow. I got a t-bill with fair interest, and it matured today)
mostly good stuff, but some not so good (not going into details, family stuff)
hopefully I'll get (at least) another beta ready before I go back -

found the culprit(s) making my vdubmod not work.
turns out that it didn't like having more than one version of masktools being loaded at the same time.
now I can finally start to make clips again...
work was boring...really boring.
we almost had nobody come in.
we almost spent more keeping people in the store than we made during the night.
my brother suggested that I find an inventory reporting service so that I can get a wii faster. He made a convincing argument (even though the service costs money) so I set out to look for one...to no avail.
if anyone could hlep me out it would be appreciated (I don't really want to get up at 8am every day for the rest of my break so that I can bust down the doors at Target asking if they got some wii's overnight)

so much going on.
but at least I don't have 60+ calc problems to do over the weekend.
my vdubmod has been acting strange recently...not being to open more than one file (avs script or regular video) each time I open it...and then closing with errors.
meGUI hasn't been working...tried installing it on my desktop but I seem to be missing something for it...
new development on my desktop...vdubmod completely refuses to open any avs script.
I think it may have been due to something with AVSp (uninstalled...no dice)
so after I found all this out I started downloading the programs again.

hopefully if I uninstall some of the programs/codecs I'll get it working again, the thing is that it takes time to download anything on 56k...
Mom's minivan's transmission is busted, so she's using my car to get to work (lucky for us we work opposite shifts at our respective jobs...at least most of them are)
Brother did something (I don't know what...and I felt it better not to inquire) and now he's pretty much shut up in his room. He may be smart but he is not very wise.
trying to get a wii, but nintendo isn't making my search very easy. I went to 7 stores in one day to no avail. going to be busting down the doors at a few stores for a couple days until I get one. Instead...that day I got guitar hero 2.

first day back on the job, again...and they had me close.
sometimes my boss intrigues me.
we had previously been running a skeleton crew (if that...we had just enogh people to cover all the shifts), and because of this he decided to hire a bunch of people who wouldn't have been hired otherwise.
It would be nice if they actually got trained, I might have to take over that.
I was working with one of the newer people tonight (my 4-8 cook) and I got a ham pizza done before he got an italian sausage pizza done (ham takes the longest time to put on a pizza, while IS takes almost no time, for those who didn't know)
People don't know what to clean anymore...and it takes a lot of work (pretty much exclusively from me) to pick up all the slack (while remaining on budget)
...come to think about it, it would have been nice if I had actually gotten training as a manager.
more travelling in my future, celebrating Christmas with dad's side of the family in Wisconsin (halfway back where I just got back from a week ago)
I learned the hard way that getting your roof done is not something you can really sleep through. The job itself isn't quiet...but those roofers aren't any better themselves.
last thought for now. I'm starting to pick up favorite voice actors. I want Chris Patton to be Kyon in the english dub of Haruhi (he did souske in Full Metal Panic and Greed in FMA) -

haven't been able to be on as much...and I'm on dial-up too (double-whammy)
got some pretty nice stuff for Christmas, I'll list some of it:
Audigy Sound Blaster 2 ZS (for my laptop)
WD 120GB passport drive (which I had to reformat as NTFS as opposed to FAT32)
Luminglass (wanted one ever since I saw it as a prize for my 6th grade magazine fundraiser)
...a little off topic, but that reminds me, in 7th grade I sold the most magazines in the whole class. I got to skip a class to eat breakfeast at a local restaurant, didn't really expect it (I'm still not great with public speaking...small or large)
note to Jubjub, you promised me an op by the end of the year and...well, it's almost there. No rush, just making an observation. I'm sure you'll get to it sometime
Starting work again either today or tomorrow (hope it's not opening...or I'm screwed), wonder how long it'l take me to get back into the swing of things
