got some work done in after effects tonight...and doing the work actually got me motivated to do more. Creativecow has some pretty neat stuff, I'll have to look there a few more times.
one thing that isn't going so smoothly is this particular color change. It's always interesting to try to make a drastic color change when a lot of other stuff (that I don't want to change) is near the same color.
I predict more masking in my future...and I like premiere's color change options better than After Effect's color change options (unless I'm just missing one of them)
why must there always be something worng with the tv signal here? I can't get discovrey channel right now, and Mythbusters is showing tonight *tear*
power of words is starting to sound fairly interesting, we'll see how that turns out.
Anime club starts again tomorrow, and I'm curious as to which series we will be watching, too bad that I have class until 5 (the club starts at 4). That and I'm supposed to be getting a T-shirt soon (and a card with Miss Sakaki on it ^_^) -

ya know, since you're somewhere around Chicago, and I'm in Milwaukee, it's entirely plausible that we might meet someday (yay for amtrak...I think it's $20 for one of the commuter trains)
I really should take another look at my amv, I just need some inspiration for effects that I can do with AE 6.5 (maybe I should ask shadowNOS)
the last 2 books that I need are...very expensive. one is $145...and I think the other is optional but still is $100 (a bit much for an optional book for 1 semester). I ran into someone who had the $145 book and is going to sell it to me for $90.
One of my friends down here has the other book, and I'll be borrowing it (he'll be borrowing my physics 2 books)
So far, I like what I've seen of FMP TSR, can't wait for volume 3 to show up.
seems to be a bit too graphic for tv-14 (what with the nudity, language and a bit of throat-slitting)...but I'm not complaining.
they actually drew the cut trachea and skin and other innards.

back at school...classes start tomorrow
got 3 of the 5 books I'll need (and they were expensive ones too...)
so it looks like I'll be stopping by the bookstore after class tomorrow as well.
A lesson I learned today: trudging through 4 inches of snow (walking about 4 city blocks total) with a piece of rolling luggage makes for a great workout
tried to get my wireless router set up so that I can connect my wii to the internet...but didn't have much luck. I'm sure I'll figure it out one way or another.
now that I'm back on the campus network I can start being on AIM more (well...when I'm not doing homework at least)
2 of my suitemates moved out, and one new guy is supposed to be here but I haven't seen him yet...on a somewhat related note, I wonder how bad lil' drummer boy will be this semester.
last thought for now, I tried to link someone to READFAG...but it seems that there's a word filter on that now. It gives you the whole name...wonder if someone got offended -

work got really busy today (at least, really busy for us)
and I had to run and get more 1 dollar bills in the middle of it (no thanks to my boss...who decided to deposit almost all of our $1 bills after close last night)
got my check, should deposit it tomorrow.

I'm not a morning person.
I've been the opening manager for two days now (swapping shifts with another manager...so I open again tomorrow)
getting in at 8:30 is possible, but I don't like it.
at least I get paid $1 more per hour.
Decided to bring my wii to college and leave the ps2 behind (I didn't really play it much, or watch many dvds with it...and I don't think I'll have the room to pack it anyway).
Still haven't gotten my statement for the second semester in the dorms...I'm thinking that they mailed it to my campus mailbox (which is kinda hard to check seeing as I don't have a 400-mile reach). Last year it was due on [January] the 30th...
for the first time in my editing, I actually have more footage than I need.
gotta figure out some way to fit it all in
