house was pretty good this week.
plenty of homework so far, and trying to finish my amv is taking most of my free time.
I got discouraged for awhile, but started to work on it again tonight
other than that, it got cold...really cold.
-12 F with a -30 F wind chill, and that was at the airport which is about 10 miles away
which means that it was probably -15 at school, with stronger winds (most buildings on campus are around 6 stories tall, so we get a nice wind tunnel in some places)
I was really hoping that class would've been cancelled, but it wasn't

hah...watching flip that house, guy says that modern homes don't have a lot of doorways.
SCREW YOU, doorways own you.
lack of doorways means that noise travels easily throughout the whole house.
finally got discovery channel back...but not before I missed this week's mythbusters :(
had tons of fun with thermodynamics today, planning to work on statics (reading, homework if I have it) and finishing up my calc 4.
finished up .hack//roots yesterday (technically this morning)...they did the same thing as they did with the end of sign (lots of unanswered questions)
my brother warned me that I wouldn't like the ending...but I didn't really mind
last thought: Yeiweh...are you still working on those free ops? if not, I just want to know so that I stop being anxious for its arrival (...that reminds me, Michele (mike of the desert) you still owe me from your colossus rebirth thread) -

Just got to do a little editing tonight.
it's getting close to being done (sky, I'll have another beta within a few days)...but that still means that there are parts of it that I don't like how it turned out.
the beginning was alright, but lack of clips in that particular area made me try a few other things...and I'm mostly done modifying that part. I just need a way to tie the new stuff to the old stuff.
I have a spot where it's just a car...and it is in dire need of changing, but I haven't figured out what to put in its place...but other than that I'm pretty much done
always feels good to get some quality editing in.
this release will be an x.264 encode, but thanks to one of sky's vids I now know where I can upload an xvid version. 720x480 (maybe it'l be 640x480 like it should be) and under 6MB with dvd+ quality...sounds pretty good to me.
last note for now...JubJub! op? please? you promised by the end of last year...I just feel...so...forgotten *sniffle* -

out of sheer boredom (along with disapointment that I wasn't able to find a clip of shinji finishing putting on his plug suit) I decided to go through all my ops, paste them into word and see how long the whole thing is.
54 pages, ~29,500 words
yep...that's what I get for staying up a little late to get advice on a beta
lucky for me, I have almost no homework/reading that needs to be done for tomorrow
so I can take a nap
discovery channel still doesn't show up for me :( -

yep...turns out that I just missed the good color change function...
and to sky, I finally found the time adjust (they didn't exactly make it easy to find. I was expecting something similar to premeire pro.)
yep, lots of masking was done. I had to rotoscope one part of the video and make it a subtract mask, then change the color of a duplicate clip under the first one so that everything went like I wanted it to...but then the result was a color that is too saturated for my taste...guess I get to go back (again) and change it (again).
started watching .hack//roots. It has that kinda mellow feeling that I like (got a similar feeling from watching Last Exile). Maybe it's just the time of night (now 2:00am local time)
wireless router still doesn't quite work, though I did get it to let me connect to the internet via ethernet (not the way it's supposed to be done...but it works)
did some re-arranging of my desk (where I pretty much live) to open up some space to help with my laptop's heat. While running AE it could get up to 60C (my sound card is probably part of that too)
