update on my trusty laptop
I took it apart...again (man I love doin' that) and I bet you can't guess what I found.
dust...lots and lots of dust. Clogging the internal airflow, sticking to the internal fans...generally everywhere it shouldn't be.
so I cleaned it up, and restarted my computer (also got updated drivers for my intergrated graphics card) instantly 7 C cooler
now I should be able to run premiere without it hanging on me -

finally got the result of my calc exam
79%
and I got 78% on my thermo "quiz"
for some reason my laptop is running really hot.
it's been like this since classes started this past fall...I know that some of it is because of the cramped space I have my laptop in...but back not so long ago I remember that I would be running at about 42 C
...now if I don't prop it up and have my chillpad on it runs idle at somewhere between 58 C and 61 C
this makes me think that there must be a better way to manage heat
maybe it'l turn into my senior design project...maybe.
I'd be interested in that, and I'm sure I could use it to get a good job.
More forum drama as sky pointed out...it seems like there are a select few that cause nearly all of the drama...I think that this time Minion was out of line, but that's just my opinion.
I found a great deal on TSR disk 3, and it's on its way. It'l be here sometime between the 6th and 10th of March -

so much drama lately...is there some ominous planetary alignment that bodes ill for the forums?
some of the stuff recently just had me banging my head on my desk.

well guys, we couldn't pull it off. I guess when it came down to it we just couldn't swing the bat...[/flcl] so close to 100 hits in one day...but between the local and indirect links I've managed to get about half of the downloads as my third video in 2 days...I like it.
my next project is going along...not nearly as much editing at this point as in my other vids...everything that I put down just seems to fit so well. I'm actually having a bit of fun with this one. Sometimes it pays to set aside my perfectionism...we'll see how people like it.
I might actually finish this one pretty quickly.
Thinking of getting the third volume of FMP:TSR...now I just have to shop around a bit, but that might not happen this week.
last thought: I wonder why I let my homework build up until the weekend. I get it done at any rate...but if I do it earlier I could relax more on the weekends...and I really need to relax.

man, whenever I get lots of stuff done it always feels good.
got up today to a nice blanket of snow outside
I had some things to do...so I hopped on a bus and did those things.
managed to find a glass cleaning cloth...which I broke in by using on my laptop screen (it was getting pretty dirty)
so far I've gotten my digital logic hw and thermo reading (2 problems left on homework) done today. I feel like I'm on a roll.
It's been less than a day and I've gotten about 90 hits on my new amv. it would be nice to hit 100 hits and 20 local downloads before 24 hours pass. 3.5 hours left! let's make this happen people!
My line for this one is that it literally won't take a minute of your life, couldn't hurt...might help

got the footage ripped for my mep segment and set up the project in premiere pro
finally I get a source which is encoded properly. Main problem was mosquito noise.
...I think that making the avs script is my favorite part of the process right now

I can hardly bring myself to watch a portion of those shows.
Tonight's special, commercial jets are making contrails that sprinkle chemicals down to control the environment (to slow global warming) and to make people sick.
the basis for this theory: contrails stick around longer and disperse in wierd patterns
the evidence: people get sick at the same time the aluminum oxide content in rainwater COLLECTED ON SOMEONE'S FRIKIN ROOF spikes(of all places...what a moron. probably would scream at the government after find fecal matter in his sewage pipes)

obviously these people are not scientists or just fail to realize how many variables are in play here.
