Your story reminded me of how I surprised people when I would just suddenly appear from around a corner when I was working at pizza hut some years back.
I too, walk quietly. Though back at the hut, the oven and industrial ventilation hood made it easier to do that >_>
...Wasn't that good of a thing though, especially when the people I was inadvertently surprising were holding knives -
