I'm sick...and it's going to suck. (not that it doesn't suck already)
I have to drag myself to thermo...but that's all I'm doing today (decided to get more sleep instead of going to power of words...and there's no way I'll be able to make it through statics lab)
too bad I have to miss the IEEE meeting tonight.
but I have to use the extra time to try to study for my calc exam tomorrow (and to finish my statics homework)
what am I sick with you ask?
a cold.
I know what you're thinking, "pffft, it's only a cold...buck up" but this is more than just a runny/stuffy nose. More like a cold + allergies + sinus headache + some other random thing that makes my head feel like it's being squeezed and blurring the outtermost part of my vision
It's a good thing that I only get sick a few times a year...but it still sucks when I am sick

really nice outside today, got to about 76 F
...and the heat was on in the dorms again
managed to get most of my thermo homework done, need to finish up a little calc, finished my digital logic hw last night...I'm pretty much caught up.
I went to play guitar hero tonight, and there weren't as many people this time, and we started talking.
It seems like a reasonably intelligent group, I probably could've kept talking for a few more hours.
darn college, why must it interfere with my personal life (...not that it's interfering with much of anything, but I'll take what I can get)
did a little but more editing (just a little), re-arranged my windows in premiere pro to give me a much bigger preview window
recently got over 100 total downloads on my latest vid (and it only took about a month this time.
Part of this is probably just that I made the video, but some people seem to not know what a bad video is. I got a series of 1 and 2 stars that brought blue trailer down below even my second video (which has the lowest star rating), and now it has the same star rating as my first video
uploaded blue trailer to the tube, I wonder how many more people will watch (part of) it because I used eva (a more well-known and seen series than Gundam Seed)
now for the nighly struggle that is trying to sleep...I really would like to go back to being a morning person who only needed 6 hours of sleep and couldn't sleep in past 6:30am on the weekends

bah, finally back to school.
...I didn't get much editing or homework done over break
>_>
<_<
but at least I got some done.
did taxes...and I get money back (again). Can't decide if I should get something this year or wait and get something really nice next year (can't decide on what I would get either)
went to anime detour, and it was pretty good. My friend spent about $150 on dvds in 5 minutes...and I spent $40 on a nice kos-mos figure.
My friend's (Samurai Drifter) panel, titled "Foolish mortals I will destory you all", went horribly wrong. He had a presentation ready to go...and then the computer that he had it on wouldn't start (just kept running memory checks over and over).
It turned out alright (we filled all the chairs, and had a few people sitting on the floor).
It turns out that the real villain is technical difficulties (the panel was about villains in anime)
went to a few more panels (including Phade's amv sing-along and JudgeHolden's panel)
watched the amvs entered in the contest (the majority of them sucked...really made me think that I would've done pretty well with either of my two latest vids)
now time for the moral, always pre-register.
walk-in registration is a pain, I was waiting for 2-3 hours before I actually paid for my badge (I was one of the last walk-ins to get one...the convention had 2200 pre-registered and all remaining 800 badges were given out on Friday)
I got myself a headset so that I can actually have people hear what I'm saying on skype (not that I've talked to anybody on skype yet...but my microphones that I did have sucked)
also got a usb lan adapter for mah wii since the university doesn't allow students to set up wireless routers (and mah wii can't connect to the provided wireless)

well, in about 2 hours I leave for the Amtrak station.
6.5 hour train ride back home.
I've got my laptop, and plenty of homework.
The last time I went to the station a piece of metalwork had fallen from a crane right onto a car. Nobody was in it (that was pretty much the only good news for that person)
I hope they're done with the construction.
I get to look forward to doing my taxes too (the company that I work for waits until the last possible second to send our forms out...which means I'm back at school before it comes)
I seem to have a shortage of good amvs (at least ones that I can watch over and over)
maybe the new top 10% lists can aid me.
I'm going to eat my last lunchable (yeah, I live off of those things when the cafeteria is closed) and then probably something on the train at about 8pm. The pizza ones fly off the dorm store's shelves. Those things are good

well...I got yelled at by shino for not having skype.
so I ended up getting skype (kariudo_sanjuro)
I'm going to have to adjust my mic settings since I'm pretty quiet when I'm in my room (especially at night. unlike certain other individuals here I actually try to be courteous)
...why does shino want to talk to me?
Dokiclaus brought everybody a nice little present. the top 10% now can be changed from a timeframe of within the last 30 days to all time.
made me feel good because I'm in the top 10% up to a year out. (twice even ^_^)
new goal: make it onto the top 10% of all time list.
got bored and worked on my segment a little more, tightened some timing, added about 5 seconds at the beginning (18 seconds left until I reach the point where I started editing)
I have 11 video tracks going on this one
the only reason why I don't get to go back home tomorrow (later today technically) is because I have a quiz in my only class tomorrow (2pm local time, it lasts until 4pm...which is 5 minutes after the train home leaves)
at least I'm prepared and stocked up on lunchables for tomorrow night/saturday
(The cafeteria closes at 2pm tomorrow...and doesn't open until monday the 26th. another story and perhaps another rant for another time)
