bah...only 2 other people showed up for my marathon
I'm guessing it's primarily because of Easter weekend.
at least we were able to use some of the club budget to buy some pizza (as almost all restaurants on campus have been closed since Friday. That pizza was the first food I had in 22 hours at that point)
came back to my room and watched the naruto marathon on toonami, and Bleach
Kinda more mellow tonight, and I'm actually about to go to bed (I usually stay up til 3 or 4am on Friday and Saturday)
even though I'm pretty much all alone here, it always seems to feel worse when the dorms are completely silent...Then I start thinking back on how I probably had a good chance to do something about it a year ago...which I will not discuss with you guys. I don't have anything against you guys, but I doubt that a satisfying solution can be obtained via pm, email, im or what have you. (and I don't think anyone I know here, or even anyone back home, can help me on this one)
well, that's about enough emo for one entry :p
thermo test on monday, statics exam on friday...tomorrow is shaping up to be tons of fun

yep...about the only good thing about fridays is that I can sleep in until 1pm (though I'm usually up by noon at the latest) and I only have 1 class.
other than that...fridays suck. The fact that it's good Friday doesn't make things any better (I guess I'm unexpectedly fasting...kinda :s )
I was getting pumped to do some amv stuff...then I had to go to class.
Because I'm going to be sitting in a dark room with a bunch of other strange people watching anime tomorrow all day, I have to do homework tonight.
got my calc done, almost done with digital logic, should probably start working on thermo.
I already got bored enough to:
organize the various folders and subfolders of my "my documents" folder,
disabled a few unnecessary services
defragged my HD
ran an in-depth HD sector check
uninstalled a few programs
I'm running out of computer-related things to do

/me wonders why sky is so cruel to kikai
managed to pick up inkscape fairly quickly, got my logo design done (thanks to sky for pointing inkscape out)
I'm content with the end result (it's nice and simple)...but I wonder if doing the gradients will make banner makers not vote for it.
it looks horrible without the gradients though...(I should go back and re-organize my layers :/ )
FMP Fumoffu marathon on Saturday, I know I'll have fun at that...but it means I have to finish up my homework tonight and tomorrow.
Which reminds me, the problems I got for calc today (2 of 'em) are really anoying.
method of partial fractions is fairly simple...but it can be so time consuming that it hurts.
It took half an hour to do the prep work to find the set of equations that gives me the final answer...for one question.
last thought for now: I'm starting to be a little more gruff with the guy in the room next to me. Pretty much every Sunday night through Friday night he's up until 1:30am or 2am playing halo2 on xbox live. I've been nice and polite long enough...hm and his friends don't get the picture.
DON'T YELL AT 12:30am, DON'T HAVE YOUR TV UP SO LOUD THAT I CAN HEAR WHAT WHOEVER IS SPEAKING IS SAYING, DON'T HAVE YOUR MUSIC UP SO LOUD THAT I CAN CLEARLY HEAR THE LYRICS [/rant]

got results back from that calc exam last week.
90/100
very happy with that result, especially with the class average at 60%.
one of my friends in the class (who is also double majoring EE+CS) got a 94
the high score was 96.
For some reason, calc 4 is one of those classes that I just can't wait to get out of. (disregaring that whole higher math thing that turns a lot of people off)
taking a small break from homework to write this (pretty much finished up my statics for the week, but I still have calc and digital logic...but I just got both of those tonight)
still haven't taken the time to start planning out my next amv (though I am listening to the music often, trying to visualize things and detect lines/riffs/etc)
I'm thinking of entering a logo for the contest, I've got a little bit of art inside this mathematical shell...let's see if I can get something good out of it.
the only thing is that I don't have a vector art program...I manged to export a raster image with alpha from after effects, but I know it won't scale the same.
I'm hoping that the computer labs are outfitted with adobe illustrator (or I'll have to get the trial version of coreldraw)

alright, a rare third entry in a 24 hour period from me but I have one last thought to share before calling it a night.
it was a hard day's pimpin (as I'm sure everyone who reads this already knew)
too bad that I didn't take down the number of hits I had before today, but I racked up close to 100 hits and 8 downloads with all the pimpin I did.
that was indeed a blast, glad to see that the mods like to play every now and then too (that one "hi" thread in amv announcements would've probably been locked after the first few posts on any other day)
good thing I did most of my homework yesterday, cuz I spent the whole day soakin up the april fool's day fun. (yes, I really had nothing better to do...besides homework <_<)
g'night org
