and now I'm stuck on my mep segment... go figure >_>
almost done with nhk ni youkoso, wierd stuff...interesting, but nowhere close to code geass. I kinda knew that I was gonna be disappointed with pretty much everything for awhile after I finished geass.
work was an adventure tonight. I got called in to work the closing manager shift (I was supposed to cook).
things that went wrong:
~we got an internet relay order...nobody told me how to take those. I botched it pretty bad, but started to get the hang of it near the end (I didn't think we took internet orders)
~my boss had mis-scheduled someone, I had to call up someone to try and switch shifts. I had never worked with either of the two other people involved in this switch
~we got almost no business, until about 8:30pm (we close at 10pm). right about the time that I ended up having to send the closing waitress home
~someone had an issue with their paycheck.
~closing paperwork decided not to print
tons of fun, I think I've accrued more than my share of stories from that place

ripping dvds for project gateway
It feels that I can't finish anything amv-related recently.
got in to work this morning, and nobody knew that I was coming in.
it turned out to be a good thing that I came in, and I got to know the other manager a bit more.
I would've stayed longer, but I had another [bad] stomach cramp. I worked through lunch, but when things slowed down it just got worse. Good thing that we had some pepto at home.
I have footage for about the first minute or so of my rahxephon amv, I was working on the :30-1:00 segment, but just ended up finding a lot of clips. At least I'm getting some stuff done.
remember those notes that I took before I started? well...I've pretty much put none of those ideas in. It was a nice thing to get me started though. -

it's been awhile I guess...or it just seems like it.

it's supposed to be like a dvd, spinning...kinda. The big AMV and the site name below just seem to be in all other previous logos.
As Scintilla guessed, the design was inspired by blu-ray and dvd logos...but I tried to make sure that itcouldn't be considered "stolen"
(a few other notes on this. It was made in inkscape as a vector art file, it would have been really easy to resize. Dvd's seem to make the org go 'round...besides computers, I tried to make a logo that reflected a major aspect of the site)
plenty of stuff going on at work, one minute I don't work for the week, the next minute I work. I've been staying up til about 5 or 6am local time, so when I tried to go to bed at midnight (to wake up at around 8:30am) you can imagine that it didn't go so well.
ended up laying there for 4 hours, got up, watched some haruhi and tried to sleep again)
I get to be in at 11 tomorrow, hopefully I'll get more sleep.
Got the Haruhi collector's box at best buy yesterday (after asking for it in one of the polls on the official USA site I kinda felt obliged to get it) . I wasn't too thrilled with most of Kyon's narration for ep 00, but I'm pleased overall.
It took me awhile to get everything out of the darn thing. That CD that came with it was packed in there pretty tightly.
haven't worked on my amv any more since last time, I'm not sure if I should start working on that or my project gateway segment...It'l work out somehow. -

went to the dentist
no [new] cavities. (I do have 1...happened a year or two ago)
still haven't gotten to editing, tried to call one of my friends with no luck. Brother is playing WOW most of the time, so instead of sitting like a bump on a log watching tv all day (until I start working again, which can be as soon as monday), I decided to be s a bump ona log re-playing FF8 all day.
not much of an improvement, but at least I'm not so bored.
last thought: looking forward to the house finale on tuesday. good stuffs I tells ya. I like my med shows...just wish that they would make more trauma: life in the ER episodes -

I'm pretty happy about that.
tranferred my project to my desktop, so I'm ready to start editing again...as soon as I get motivated enough to do it.
laptop is still running hot, even in a cool room. I checked to see if there was any dust, but didn't really find much of anything. I have no idea why it's running so hot :/
not too much else happening. I'm bored (I knew I was going to be...but knowing about it doesn't make it any better)
school really messes up dentist visits...so I get to go in tomorrow (I was due back in January...the day after I left for school again)
