the homework fury begins...
gotta do homework and reading in every class @_@
that means I won't be on much...except for the occasional break
AWA was kinda fun. Good videos in the contest, but not so many interesting panels, there wasn't much in the video rooms that interested me either
things I learned at AWA:
-Sky isn't emo
-inthesto doesn't drink as much as everyone was telling me
-Decoy can hold his liquor...but isn't above passing out and infecting the air mattress with aids
-Trythil has a fancy camera...it hurts if you look directly into the flash
-Don't try to open a bottle of ramune by smacking the plastic tool (to push the ball into the bottle, therefore opening it) with your hand...It will leave a mark, and may draw blood
-Never count on MARTA to get you anywhere in a timely manner. Friggin driver stopped to eat in the middle of the route, which added to my tardiness for the editor's/VAT dinner
-Take the train to go from one end of the ATL airport to the other. Long airport is loooooooong (ended up walking over a mile to get from my gate to the terminal)
-Embassy suites near the cumberland mall is greedy...$10 a day for internet -

Busy day today.
got most of my dynamics done...looks like I might be turning it in incomplete because of one stupid problem (I got the other 3)
I'm gonna bring my assembly language book with me so I can do that homework during the con/in transit
Good news on the Anime Milwaukee front. It's looking like there will be prizes for the AMV contest.
There will also be a website...which I get to make with all my 1337 w3b pr0gr4mm1ng sk1||z. (yeah...I'm not really savvy when it comes to html)
I'm gonna use the software that the webmaster for my club's site uses.
When the site is up and running, you can be sure that I'll be posting it in here, and on the forums
Still need to call the hotel...guess I'll do it tomorrow.
This is probably the most exited I've been in a few years...and I have to suppress it
otherwise I won't be able to sleep, and then I'd be a zombie tomorrow

Stuff to do before I leave on a jet plane:
Dynamics homework (stupid problems aren't working out the way I think they should)
Assembly Language program #1 -DONE (ima code monkey again)
Call the hotel to let them know what time I'll be arriving -Maybe tomorrow :/
Print off Directions on using MARTA to get to the hotel -Maybe Tomorrow
Print off AWA registration confirmation -uhh...tomorrow again
Look through Menu for editor's dinner - Tomorrow or Wednesday
Attend Anime Milwaukee meeting: Wednesday
yep, busy week.
Writing the program in SAL was pretty easy, new syntax and program format...but it's a lot easier once you know another programming language.
The program takes a base and an exponent and finds the result (like 2^3 = 8)
even though my first code generated one error it ran anyway...it actually pointed out where the error was, which is really nice after 3 semesters of decoding cryptic compliler error messages

I also run into feelings like: oh no...I really hope I didn't fry my cpu, oh no...I really hope I didn't fry my video card, oh no...I hope I didn't fry my hard drives and oh no...I hope I didn't fry my ram
maybe it's a sign that I should stop messing with my computer...
nah, couldn't be. Like Red Green says, "If it ain't broke, you aren't trying hard enough"
now it's time to watch a few episodes of s-cry-ed and get some sleep -

Yesterday was...uhh...not so productive.
Just felt bad all day :/
Today is much better, got laundry done, got reading done, gonna get homework done so I can go to AWA.
Got a meeting on Wednesday about my school's con, so this week will be busy.
Took a picture of my desktop (with my webcam...which is the only camera-type thing in my possession), so here's a link if you're interested.
Had to remove the acrylic side-panel so that everything didn't glow blue

my roommate left for the weekend, and just got back...
looks like I get to talk to him about keeping vodka in our room :/
if he doesn't like my policy...then I'll just have to get the RA involved and get him fined or something.
I refuse to be in a situation where I have to pay for someone else's actions

I went downtown today.
The wheels on the bus...they went round and round.
Eventually I ended up near the airport (only took about 1.5 hours...at least I know how much time I need for next week)
I also got the "Infinity on High" album from Fallout Boy.
I blame shino for making me do it (after I watched his vid "memories")
It's probably the music, but I got really pumped today. I say it's probably the music because I really doubt that doing homework got me pumped
I wanna get pumped again so I can work on my segment
Revised the contest rules...I'm thinking that I can actually pull this off now.
My main concern was mashing all the videos together, but I think that I revised the rules in such a way so that it makes it pretty easy to combine everything while at the same time being flexible enough for people who want to enter
My inner nerd is smiling just a little bit more.
Somehow, I was able to pull a modest overclock on my Radeon x1950pro
For those who aren't as into this as me...the x1950pro is very hard to overclock (past what ATI's sofware can do), causing loss of picture or system crashes if you try to push it at all (for most people)
