@Knowname
cold? it's -11*F over here...wanna trade?
beware! long AIM segment ahead...It might be worth the read, why don't you find out?
Kariudo Sanjuro (12:54:39 AM): I've wasted too much time on this stupid 30-second segment to stop wasting time on it now!
BurningLeaves09 (12:55:03 AM): LOL
BurningLeaves09 (12:55:06 AM): EPIC STATEMENT
BurningLeaves09 (12:55:11 AM): post it in gateway
Kariudo Sanjuro (12:55:26 AM): maybe
BurningLeaves09 (12:55:51 AM): cmon *push push*
BurningLeaves09 (12:56:01 AM): lol its the funniest thing youve saif about the mep to date
Kariudo Sanjuro (12:56:02 AM): *falls down stairs*
BurningLeaves09 (12:56:08 AM): nooo
BurningLeaves09 (12:56:12 AM): *catches you*
Kariudo Sanjuro (12:56:36 AM): *you begin to fall down the stairs too*
BurningLeaves09 (12:57:22 AM): *purple spotted dragon comes to rescue us... crisis averted*
Kariudo Sanjuro (12:58:54 AM): *dragon gets slayed by a rouge knight (perhaps david hasselhoff...aka knigt rider)*
*dragon joins in the falling down the stairs party*
BurningLeaves09 (12:59:55 AM): *Grabs on to the mass of hosslehoff chest hair, since its thinker and stronger then rope, we are saved*
Kariudo Sanjuro (1:01:19 AM): hosselhoff?
is that how it's spelled?
anyway...
*hosselhoff steps on some spare ping pong balls from that movie "Balls of Fury" and falls down the stairs*
BurningLeaves09 (1:03:03 AM): me thinks hasselhoff is more like it *Lucky enough for us Ralph Machio (ala Karate Kid) is there to save us.. since ya know... he has alot of free time now*
Kariudo Sanjuro (1:04:33 AM): *out of the blue, Cobra commander and G.I. Joe come tumbling into the hallway, continuing their epic battle of good vs evil while knocking everything in their path down staircases*
Kariudo Sanjuro (1:05:05 AM): *battle targets david, derek, mandi, dragon, ralph party*
Kariudo Sanjuro (1:05:16 AM): *battle pushes party down the stairs*
BurningLeaves09 (1:08:09 AM): *Thank goodness Gadget from chip and dales rescue rangers (zomg remember her?)is there to save us by concocting an ingeniouse scheme to put roller skates underneeth all the evil do-ers there by making them fall down the stairs faster allowing montery jack to come save us in his little air balloon*
Kariudo Sanjuro (1:09:59 AM): *as luck wouldn't have it, Inspector gadget comes along (chasing after Penny and Brain) and uses his go-go-gadget rocket booster to catch up. The sudden acceleration sends the inspector out of control. The dinky air balloon pops, and Inspector gadget joins the falling down the stairs party*
BurningLeaves09 (1:13:30 AM): *Huey and Duey from ducktales arrive just in time they set up a gigantic pile of their uncles money (cash) at the floor of the stairs to cushion the blow, we fall, land on preciouse, soft money ... crisis averted*
Kariudo Sanjuro (1:15:19 AM): *the money is pure gold, since the value of the dollar has gone to pot. Due to the high density of gold, the floor starts to creak. When the falling down the stairs party lands, quite painfully I might add, on the mass of gold coins the floor gives way*
Kariudo Sanjuro (1:15:53 AM): *falling down the stairs party has now become the fallind down a hole party*
BurningLeaves09 (1:18:43 AM): *Thank god we fell in the exact same hole the chick from the ring lives in, apparentlly theres an ongoing feud between ring chick and cobra commander have a long out standing feud.. apparentlly they dated in college, he checked out Barbies ass I wasnt really paying attention... anyway ring chick steals away bad party and they get into their own tussle just as the germans arrive to save their precious Hasslehoff, since we are still clung tight to the mass of cheast hair we are also saved by there rediculouse yet practicle zeplin*
Kariudo Sanjuro (1:21:00 AM): *ring girl is furious at cobra commander's attempt at escape. She flings giant, meaty, hairy bolts of...fire (yes, fire...if she can step out of a tv screen I'm pretty sure she can hurl fire)*
Kariudo Sanjuro (1:21:25 AM): *zepplin is weak against fire, bursts into flames*
*falling resumes*
BurningLeaves09 (1:23:34 AM): *Just then the new awesome jap movie to be turned into blockbuster crap "The Eye' star jessica alba makes her entrence, we all take hold of her and due to her massivlly swelled head we are propelled upward to safety*
Kariudo Sanjuro (1:24:21 AM): I'm out of stuff, so I guess we're safe now
did anyone count the number of old-school references in there?

went to pick out the new tv this week, and ended up getting a really good deal on it. The guy at Circuit City accepted my best buy coupon and gave us a better deal still.
got about $100 off of a $789 tv
new tv has component connections, so I could finally hook up my ps2.
...and then I started playing FF XII
Went to dinner and a movie to celebrate my dad's birthday yesterday. My brother and stepmom went to see the new national treasure movie with my dad.
I said I'd watch it again, but my dad didn't have any strong feeling for that, so I went off and saw in the name of the king.
The movie was rough around the edges, a few spots were really rough (cutting back and forth between 2-3 battles with no reason/explanation doesn't work so well)
The movie only really borrowed the names from Dungeon Siege (the game it's supposed to be based on)...
The story was pretty weak, with one very misplaced and futile attempt at comedy.
Lots of violence, but almost no blood whatsoever.
I thought that Hitman was questionable, but looking back I'd see that again before watching ITNOTK again.
Things keep pressing forward on the anime milwawukee front, and we're up to 14 guests. AMV contest is getting a few entries but at this point more is still better. So if you've got a video that you've completed in the past year, fill out the entry form which is embedded in the rules

I should work on editing some more...

one filled cavity and one debate about the McDonald's hot coffee case later...
stepbrother and his girlfriend flew into town (from new york)
stepmom wants to take a family portrait
...I'm not excited at all (as usual)
internship hunting has begun once again...only to find that there are virtually none.
at this rate I'll probably be flying out to California for the summer to get an internship.
next step is to keep looking and talk to my adviser...maybe try to get in touch with someone through tau beta pi
taxes are not going to be fun this year :(
not like they're fun any year, but this year is going to be worse
last thought for now: boredom is dangerous, it compels people to do many things. Some people might invent stuff, others may set their friends on fire...but me, I clean stuff.
I might end up cleaning the whole house before I go back to school...
but I suppose there are worse things that could happen when I get bored...

progress is slow on the amv front, but at least I'm trying to work on it.
It's hard to break old habits, and it's hard to push forward when those habits are what's holding you back.
and now for a short rant
subject: conspiracy theorists
...there's really not much more to say about this group of people other than they're paranoid. If you think that someone or something is out to get you, you will always be able to find "explainations" for it.
Many of the claims made by conspiracy theorists are based on a gut feeling rather than scientific knowledge.
The bottom line: You can't expect to be taken seriously if you make accusations (mild or wild) based on thoughts on a matter where you have no expertise.
Example: at an event not so long ago, an individual brought up the topic of the Minnesota bridge collapse and started spouting a theory about how the government was behind it. Their reason for making the claim was, "Bridges just don't collapse like that."
This person has no experience in structural analysis. I don't claim to either, but have had enough schooling in the general area to be able to understand that such a collapse is possible.
It's fun to try to convince someone of a particular point until they don't concede in the face of much more substantiated evidence :/
Grades are finally all in:
3-A's
2-B's
not bad, but I really think that the B in Programming language concepts should have been higher.
Last thought for now: boomi vids are addictive. I...just...can't...stop watching

and all family matters have been attended to, now it's time to do some other stuff (like editing >_>)
dentist appointment tomorrow
Nerd year's eve party (naturally, it's an all nighter)
call temp agency back
call university for password
I'm brushing up on tv terms and selling points, as I'm helping my mom pick out an lcd tv in the near future (mainly for the analog-switch off and to nix that annoying crt buzz)
I've actually done some editing...I haven't gotten very far on anything, but I've done some,
Looking more and more like I'll have to use my backup source for gateway. We'll see how it turns out.
With holiday funds comes a dilemma, do I save it, upgrade my computer or start (and essentially finish) the AWA '08 fund?
investing such a small sum wouldn't do much good, but I'll probably need it for books/food/other misc college things
I don't need to upgrade my computer, but since when has "need" ever been part of a overclocker's agenda?
AWA '07 was ok, maybe I'll have more fun next year...(and actually enter pro or exhibition)
choices, choices...
once again I find myself in the clutches of the night. Staying up til 3,4 or 5 in the morning and then sleeping in til 1 or 2.
if I didn't have to wake up for anything I wouldn't really care, but when I'm on a night-schedule it's really hard to go to bed early and wake up early.
at least I get to sit in the middle ground this coming semester (with a blend of late morning/afternoon and night classes)
Still waiting for 2 of my grades to come in, so far I'm doing pretty good.
Dynamics: A (I thought I was gonna get a B, especially when we hit the last few chapters)
Circuits 1: A (I was pleasantly surprised here, I didn't know if me finishing really early on the final was good or very bad)
Discrete information structures: B (I thought I had a handle on stuff, but I didn't have it as good as I thought)
according to the online site where we get our homework/test grades during semester (but not the official grades), I aced the assembly language final...which I highly doubt.
I wouldn't complain if I did, but it just doesn't seem right. That would put me at an A for that class
Programming language concepts, I didn't like the grader...and the lecture went pretty darn quick. I ended up pulling it together to get the highest grade on the final (17.5/20), which pushed me to right about 80.5% overall. The greatest grade cluster is a B, but I don't know what the greatest cluster is...so that grade is still in the air.
It didn't feel like I spent as much time studying this past semester as I should have...but maybe I'm just turning into one of those people who always thinks that they do bad on things.
I know that I spent a few days doing nothing but homework, and poured near 40 hours into some of the programming assignments...but it just seems like I should have been busier. (I'm looking at you~ Mandi <_< ... >_>)
Using my laptop to take notes seems to work out alright...it'l take some more getting used to though (I didn't think I remembered as much)
and so ends a very long journal entry...which has relatively little to do with editing of any sort.
P.S. coming up on 5000 hits
P.P.S. I should get to bed soon...though I'm not tired
P.P.S.S. I am buttered toast, that is all
