natural or not, sugar is sugar. If you don't behave yourself I'll have to write a computer program to inject insulin directly into your bloodstream. It'l be like neutering a dog, except you're not a dog and I'm not neutering you...just taking your sugar away (heck, I'm even using all natural stuff to get it done too).
How's your entry for the anime milwaukee contest comin? 2 weeks to the deadline!
Speaking of...I now have 2 videos to show at the contest. There are more than two entries, but I only have 2 videos. Both of them payed attention to the tech specs :up:
one of them is a bit blurry, but whatever.
The package that I was expecting today came...yesterday. I've read reviews from newegg saying people got their package in 2 days, and now I have finally joined among them.
The bays went in slick, and the black border (silver colored handle) adds a nice accent to my (silver) case. I'll have to do a defrag or something to see if it cut down on any noise (kinda hoping it will, as that was the main point in getting them)
another reason why I got them is to alleviate the clutter that was the internal hard drive bays.
finally got the drive down from the external 3.25 bay...and my front fans can actually move air beyond the hard drives now. I cleaned up the wires in the case some more, so you can't really tell if everything is really connected at first glance. (There are people who have done amazing things with cable management that make mine look messy)
now before I forget (again)...time for the yayz.

I need to get some more reading done, and I should do the little bit of homework that I got...but then it'l be off to editing. gotta clean up the second half on my gateway beta (needs moar cowbell) but with a little luck I should be able to give it to 2 or 3 people tonight
last thought for now: you know that you've had too much to drink when your suitemate can smell you from behind a closed door. I wonder if they'll ever realize that there's more to life than drinking til you pass out. -

it's a health hazard I tells ya
so I've had 1 lecture in every class now...and here's what I think.
I'm screwed.
electromagnetic fields: prof is hard to understand, and expects that everyone has seen the material in the past.
circuits2: prof is boring, gonna find myself sleeping through that class a bit
networks: can't read the prof's writing...the book seems to be written for people with experience in computer networks
Algorithm design/analysis: math applications...yucky. I don't think this class will give me too much trouble though
engineering economic analysis: boring, not expecting trouble.
ordered some more stuff for my computer (hard drive hot swap/vibration absorbing bays, 90 degree sata II cables)
should arrive on friday.
last thought for now: I guess I'm representing my anime club tomorrow. Every now and then our club sets up a table and tries to get more people to join...and tomorrow is one of those days. I get to burn an hour sitting there. The anime club at my school is pretty good, about 30 regulars...and there's always about 10-20 new people at the start of each semester. That's a really rough count based on memory, I'll try to remember to get actual numbers. -

ok so it wasn't that cold when I got off the train, but it was snowing.
Nothin like dragging luggage through the snow :/
my grand plan of sleeping on the train didn't work out so well...so I wasn't at the top of my game for the rest of th day. I was able to get to sleep at a reasonable time though.
New mousepad is big, really big. it's nice, but I'll probably never use all of the space on it (save for gaming)
I tried to buy books yesterday, but the union building was locked. I could have gone around the campus to see if the other bookstore was open but I was just too tired to do that. I have 3 some odd hours between my 2 classes on tues + thurs, so that'l give me plenty of time to do it today.
Back on my desktop at last! it wasn't horrible using my laptop (I could still edit and browse thar interwebs and update the anime milwaukee site) but it felt a little weird going back to my desktop. Out of habit, I tried to use the touchpad to move my mouse...only to find that I was doing that on my keyboard instead of a touchpad.
I'll probably be ordering some stuff from newegg pretty soon (since I'm actually here to get it, and then promptly install it)
beta for gateway is seeming to get general approval, good stuffz. I'll probably do some more work on it today (would've done it last night, but I had to transfer all of my vobs :/ )
last thought: I wonder if anyone else has thought of proposing compound contractions...

and so my last day back home comes to an end.
didn't get a job, but I did like just being able to do things as I saw fit.
Packing for the trip back to school is nearly complete, just gotta find somewhere to cram my toothbrush and all that stuff, and a few dvds.
Managed to get some work done on the amv front, which is a lot more than I could say about other breaks.
It's a good thing that I got work done, and that I only spent a few hours at a time because now I have less of an excuse to not edit at school. (Though I do have the new FEAR expansion, and Gears of War for the pc)
Anime Milwaukee is going to keep me plenty busy.
I get to fight rush hour going to the train station, and then once I'm back in Milwaukee, I get to fight the bitter cold on my way back to the dorms.
...why does it have to be the coldest right when I come back :/
at least it's gonna be above 0 (but being so close to the lake makes it feel worse) -

@Regina: I packed Gundam Seed into my luggage, so there's no way I'll forget it. I might have to leave it behind if I have too much other stuff to pack though. I'll try hard to fit it in.
for all you regulars out there...you remember when I said I was staying up til 5am?
well it's gotten worse since then...I've been staying up til 7am
it's gonna really suck to get back onto a school schedule, but at this point I might as well keep staying up so that I can catch some sleep (with a little luck) during my train ride back to school on Monday.
Internships have popped up here and there, it's just that they're only posted on company sites...one of my friend's parents is going to see if I can get an internship through one of their connections too.
That makes internship hunting a lot easier for people who know the names of companies in this area...too bad I'm not one of those people
Editing is going better than it has been in a long time, I'm actually kinda happy with what I have for gateway right now. I'm gonna have to throw in some more stuff before I give it to the rest of the mep editors for beta-ing though.
AMG just doesn't lend itself to my style :/
last thought for now: computer customization is a good way to get rid of boredom (at least it is for me :p )
it can be as simple as changing the background on your desktop to something as complicated as making a mini-refrigerator for your cpu so it runs at -150 C
