got the darn spark plug out, and put 2 new ones in (the two easiest plugs to reach)
car runs, doesn't make noises anymore. We'll see what it does to my mpg.
It's nice when coding works out. Now that I got the better part of the project that's going into the release code done I get to focus more on the side project. We have proof of concept
We have made the framework to make it work properly
now we just have to put up the walls (and hope everything works the way I think it should)
I'm not realistically expecting my code to work, but I'd like to think that I put enough thought into it to prevent any problems.

it's been 2 years since I've changed the oil in my car...
it really needed to be done.
Prior to this summer, I had only been driving it about 4 miles a day for 3 months in the summer. So I wasn't putting on the miles very fast.
Enter the Summer Internship
34 miles a day, 5 days a week (an extra 50-100 miles for hanging out with friends and such)
so I get oil and a filter and head over to my dad's
replace the filter
drain the oil
at that point I mentioned that we should check the spark plugs...so my dad gets the ratchet and starts coercing a plug out. The plug eventually came out, well...most of it anyway. The threads and the electrode are still stuck in the engine (and the plugs just had to be recessed)
The plugs have been in there for all 21 years of the car's existence, I guess they got kinda cozy during that time.
so as it stands...my car is stuck until we (or a mechanic) can get it out and pop in a new one (just gonna change all 4 while we're at it. Yes, it is a small car)
Hoping that we'll be able to get it, as family labor is much more free than a mechanic -

Spent some time after work today watching Doomsday devices (Modern Marvels)
and after the hour was up, I came to a conclusion.

it is inevitable
it will happen...

didn't think that I would have the time or motivation to make one this year, looking forward to seeing some more good logos.
traffic really sucked this week, and it was really hot. Driving in a car with no ac stuck in traffic with the sun beating down on ya is no fun.
I'll be 21 on Saturday, and you know what that means?
...time to sit on the couch and watch tv!
yeah, I don't think I'll be much of a drinker. One of my friends (that I've known for 10 years) keeps saying he's gonna take me to a bar but I'm not too wild about that.
