    Looking at the video listings for Kawaii-Kon, and seeing jubber's Over the Rainbow/AIR video, I said to myself, "Myself, I believe this is the winner. I stand zero chance. Me = old anime + old song. Jub^2 = newish anime + popular Hawaiian song (and a really cute video)."

    Congrats jubjub on the win. You deserved it.

    I wish I coulda been there to attend, but I had to do a bunch of family dinner stuff. Ironically, the place we went to celebrate my niece's 1st birthday was in the same hotel as the convention. My sister's friend freaked out over seeing all the Naruto cosplayers. All in all, a fun time. I have such cute nieces and nephews.

    So, my first AMV is finally listed on A-M-V.org. Now I feel complete.

    I felt like I was living in the midwest except that I have beaches and palm trees here. At least it's over now.

    Well, hopefully you won't get about 2 weeks straight of rain, rain, rain, rain, and rain. I kinda feel for all the people that come here for their vacation of sun & sand and have to stay mostly indoors. The worst thing was the flooding that swept away some homes and people. :(

    Anyways, now I'm just waiting for a confirmation e-mail from Acen that they got my submission. I'll give it another few days then try to contact them. I fear the post office may have lost my entry and I'll have to re-send it. :| 
  • Wheee! 2006-04-01 10:47:20 Well, I'm done with the distro version of my AMV. Finished adding a logo bumper and credits, finally. Now I just have to remember to upload it to the local servers before the permiere date. Unfortunately, I think I'll have to use the 1st pass XviD version. I might re-encode it at a little lower bitrate but the 2nd pass at 70% of the 1st pass, parts didn't look quite that good full-screen. I guess I'll re-watch it later and decide.

    And well it's April 1st. Yeah.
