    seriously. banners are banners are fucking banners. gawrd. That's the last time I ever mention how i vote on banners ever again.

    and @ben&melee: do you guys have to be asses and add fuel to the fire? like, really, would that help anything?

    banners stuff - but it's also kind of the same, but vice versa for me. If a banner looks really clean and finished and pretty, i'll still vote it unworthy if the idea has been overused, ripped off, or just doesn't make sense. D:

    i agree with camillia though - i stopped making banners for a period of time when it became more about getting higher on the top banner makers list than for making good witty/interesting banners. i also was just making batches of banners in minutes rather than taking my time with each individual one...

    i think what a lot of new banner makers do (not all, i'm just speaking from my experience) is the first thing they want to do is be on the top banner makers list, and then be higher and higher on the list, so they constantly spit out a bunch of banners that (in my mind) really lack effort.

    now it's become more about putting out better (idea and quality wise) banners and having a higher % worthy. (sure you can be number one on the list, but if you're percent worthy is only 17.5 %....)

    and i hope camillia gets back to making banners again some time soon <333 :3

    oh and @camillia, i'm one of those people that mostly does that 'a-m-v.org' logo, mostly because i always forget to leave room on my banners for the whole url. don't worry, it peeves me too, just because i keep doing it ALL the time XD

    as for voting the yaoi banner worthy - i do it all out of fun, i can't take it as seriously as some of you guys do :P (i know that sounds awful, since banner making is like the only thing i can do right on this site :D)

  • @Nya 2009-01-22 20:16:12 Sometimes, you gotta over look quality aspects of a banner and just think about the idea of it, don't take all banners too seriously. :P banner making is a fun hobby, not an elitist sport, we gotta remember that!
