    I was working on my video today (almost done through the first chorus) and showed it to a couple friends. 3 of them absolutely loved it. They think I'm like an AMV master or whatever. I then showed it to another person and he thinks that it just totally sucks. Yeah..It sucks. I hate this video now. I suck at video edting and feel like quiting. Yeah, I'm right. It only takes one person to lower your self-esteem.

  • Change Of Heart 2003-06-17 01:27:41 I'm going to ask my parents if I can go to AWA this year. I'm pretty sure that they'll say no, but I want to ask. My entire studio is going to go, and I want to be a part of the fun. If I do get to go though, I probably won't spend a lot of money. I might by a T-Shirt or two, but the main expenses would go towards renting a hotel, tickets, food, and getting there and back. I'll probably have to tell my parents about my studio, if they somewhat agree to it. They won't like it that I have internet friends, but oh, well. It's our studio and I'm pretty proud of it. I'm Head Video Editor and Head Webmaster. I mean what else is there in the studio? I'll probably have them contact Xeno and Christy at least, so they can get to know them and let me go. My chances are slim, very slim. Yeah, I probably won't be able to go.

    I worked a lot on the studio website today. I got Chris's, Christy's, and Keith's profiles up. I also got Christy's AMVs and a new opinion poll. I already have next week's poll in my mind. It's to settle a little argument Xeno and I were having. I'm not saying what it is yet, you'll have to come to the site again to see!

    I bought a Yugi Starter Deck last week. I really like the game. I play with my sensei like every moment she has time. She has the combined Yugi and Kaiba decks (I think the Japanese ones), and I still beat her twice. I didn't really beat her though, because she ran out of cards. I think I'm going to go buy the Pegasus Starter Deck tomorrow sometime. I'd really like to be able to summon a Blue Eyes Toon Dragon. I like talking like Pegasus too. I won't enter into any tournaments until I get a Fusion deck and Swords Of Revealing Light though. I really want those, so I can call up the Dark Mage (the one that beat Pegasus). I'm a real fan of the game.

    Since I'm basically done with the website (minor updates here and there), I really have to get cracking on my video. I've decided to let go of a couple things for it and just do some straight up editing (splicing) for the next couple days. Then I'll go back and fill in effects where I think that they're needed. At that rate it should be done by around next week.

    I also need to finish my Cloud peice from last summer. That should take me around one month or so. I take a really slow time drawing anything. I'm not going to do the special background for it. If I ever get it scanned, I might do it using the computer, but I think it would ruin the overall drawing if I added the special background and inked it. I also already have another peice in mind. It should really reflect my viewpoints on some things. That peice will really take my art to the boundaries. I can't wait to get started on it.

    I took the ACT this Saturday. I think I did pretty well. Hopefully I'll get a 30. Maybe with that I can convince my parents to let me go to AWA. Heh, probably not still, but a 30 would be really nice to have. Yeah, not much else on that subject.

    Well, if there's anything else I need to write about, I'll post it on here tomorrow night. Oh, yeah, I need to write in my video journal. Yeah, I love the way I do things, but I still hate myself. Well, I found the main topic for my next journal entry. This one was pretty long.

  • I just heard one of the loudest thunderbolts of my life. 2003-06-11 00:59:55 Yeah, that thing was super loud. I could feel the shockwave. It was amazing, but it's just raining now.

    What did I do today...not much...

    I studied for a little bit. A couple hours I think. I need to complete like two tests tomorrow. It's been thunderstorming all day really. The power even went out for a while.

    I have to admit that at first I didn't really like it, but now it's like one of my favorite videos of all time. It's like one of the most perfect war videos that I've ever seen.

    I had somewhat of a small revelation today. I realized that AMVs, being one of the biggest arts in my life, can only be effective in on way really. Now you many not agree with me on this issue at all, but hear this out. To be truly effective and move the person emotionally (whether it be happily, angrily, or romantically) the video must have a large impact on a person. Basically that's my way of categorizing which AMVs are truly worthy of being called art, and which AMVs are not. Here's some AMVs that are considered to be truly artistic by me:

  • Let's see....... 2003-06-09 23:56:03 Today...woke up and went to work. Nothing special happened there. Talked with the girls that I like. I like them all.......... Yeah, tells a lot about myself huh? Well, I saw the President of the company helping us today. I'm guessing it's because we have so many hardships, and if he experiences some, then maybe we can easy up on the work. Girls are nice at work.

    I came back and studied/chatted with a couple friends. I did study a little. I'm getting a little better at the Reading section. Science is alright. If I can get 28s and 29s on those two sections then I've basically gareenteed myself a 30 composite score. Yeah, it'll be hard to do, but I think I can do it.

    I stopped around 10:30 my time (CST). Talked to some more friends and then video edited for a bit. I need to get a new CD Burner soon. I only have 1.7GB left on this computer and I need more space to edit. My timing seems off a little on some of the clips. I'll have to go back and correct that sometime tomorrow. I need to write in my video journal.

    The studio is coming together slowly. I gave everyone a deadline of this weekend for their profiles and junk. I need to contact the web host we're looking at. This'll be cool..

  • Er...sure! 2003-06-07 23:18:39 I uploaded my first AMV to the Dangling Carrot yesterday and I already got an opinion. Of course it was a crappy opinion, because the guy doesn't explain anything and because it was my first video. He should see my newest video and then give the review. I'm improved like hell!

    Contacting the other members of the studio. We now have 7 members (including myself), but I've only contacted 4 other mebers. 2 more to go. They need to send their profiles and information in to me so that I can update the website. I also need to contact the web host that we're considering. It's really cheap and basically a great web host. I get to maintain my position of Webmaster and take on the postion of Head Video Editor. It's really cool, because we have like 3 web designers, 3 amatuer artists, 2 graphics people, and like 5 video editors. I'm only Head Video Editor, because I've been editing for the longest time. I don't have the most videos out, but it's not entirely my fault. It'll be cool, because I'm basically in charge of getting everyone together until Chris (Devolution) comes back from his leave.

    I took the SAT this morning. I think I did pretty well. I think I at least got a 1350, hopefully a 1400. I'm pretty sure that I got a perfect on the math section. It wasn't really hard or anything, just took the entire time. Well, it took the entire time for at least 2 sections. I hope I did good on the Verbal section. I don't know why they call it the "Verbal" section, when it has nothing to do with speech. It's more vocabulary and understand sentences and passages. Oh, well...

    Let's see...Nothing else going on. I have to start studying for the ACT this week, because I have to take it next Saturday. Then I'm off for the rest of summer. I can work on my artwork (I started it last summer), music videos, website, and everything that I want to do. Of course it revolves around my two part-time jobs. I really need to get cracking on my new video, so I can make it in time for Martyr Productions Contest. I'm going to blow every other video out of the water! Yep...But I'm not going to rush my video in any way. If I'm not going to make the contest deadline with the completed version of my video, then it's not going to be in the contest.
