  • All in my Head 2003-08-11 14:56:01 My head is insane. Everything in it scares me! Isn't it weird that such a small thing as a head including the brain can do SO many things, like build computers, create, art, create life, create intelligence?

    So little resources...Kinda makes me depressed and feel useless. I'm thinking of quitting my job to just get everything done. I want to do so much stuff. I don't know. I'll see how busy my schedule is once college starts up.

  • Dreaming... 2003-08-04 16:06:44 I went car shopping with my brother today. We looked at a Ford Taurus SE Sedan at around $16,000. We also looked at a Chevy Malibu, but we couldn't get a solid price on that. It'll be around $16,000 - $16,500 at least. Obviously, we're looking to buy a new car (Mom will use it, not me), because I'm doing dual enrollment. Senior orientation is Wednesday, and I still need to get my classes straightened out for my dual enrollment.

    I know Chris has some plans for our studio and everything, but I want to get him some of my ideas too. I'd like our studio to host a contest in the midwest. It'll be held in a theatre and we'll need a good server where people can upload their videos and everything. I can get the tapes made and everything for the contest. We can charge a small fee of like $5 - $10. We'll have prizes for the contest winners and everything. Of course it'll take months and months of planning, but I'm sure that it'll be worth it and a good pay off for our hard work. Another thing I want to do is get a distro CD done for our studio. We'll be able to hand it out at conventions and everywhere. They always have those Free 50 Packs of CDs in stores and everything, so if it's free, why don't we do it? Once we get hosting, I think I'll start doing that. That's my main goals for the site. I'm hoping that that contest will become a convention in this area of the midwest, because I have to travel 5 hours to Chicago to get to the nearest anime convention. It'll be cool if we could start it with a small AMV contest. We would also bring so much attention to our website and videos with our distro CDs.

  • Tired and hurting... 2003-08-02 01:54:36 Well, I went to the grocery store to work today. 3:30PM - 12AM shift was horrible. I saw that they have me signed up for the SAME shift next week. Just getting some cash for myself is going to kill me. I'm not even sure that I'll be able to hold a job during the school year now that I'm dual enrolled. It's 1:40AM right now here (Central Standard Time). I have to be back at work at 10:45AM. They're really going to kill me. They must've heard that I might quit, so they're trying to kill me now instead of lose me. I'll probably be able to work weekends during the school year though, because I only have to go to college Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. And Friday I just have to go to high school for 2 or 3 hours, and the rest of the day is totally free. I'm going to take two weeks off when school starts to see if I'll be able to work and do everything at the same time.

    I fell really good about dual enrollment. I want to get ahead in life and I don't mind taking another semester or two to get my double major.I can choose to sleep during the day or night, but I think I'll go with the night since there's not a lot happening then.

    I'm still working on the studio's website. It might take a little longer to finish than I thought, because I have to work the entire weekend. I can probably get a couple pages done tomorrow night and definitely some on Sunday.

    I need to buy that sound card for my new computer tomorrow, or else I won't be able to get that $50 rebate anymore. I'll have to wake up a little earlier to get it.

    I don't know what else to say. I think I'm going to add a little Video Of The Week thingy for the website. I'm uploading my Final Fantasy VII video, To The Limit, right now. I now have my three best videos up for download. If you watch them, her'es the order that I recommend:

    I had to go to my school today to get permission to get dual enrollment. I want to take Calculus 1 and 2 this year. I'd like to get ahead in college and everything, since my birthday is early and I'd basically be turning 19 after I started college. I'll probably be taking General Chemistry and Computer Engineering Aided Design too. I'd only take 2 classes per semester for high school. I'd have to take 2 classes still in high school, but they wouldn't be that hard. I'd probably take my 2 English classes and probably either Spanish IV or AP Advanced Physics. I don't really miss all the fun at high school, but I really do want to get ahead. I only need one credit to graduate, so I might as well keep working hard and get ahead in life. I can probably do a double major in Computer Engineering and Computer Science, since I'll be graduating from college one semester early. I know that it's not the hottest job market right now, but I enjoy computers and it's what I want to do. If I do that double major, then I have the entire computer field open to me. I have to go back to school in the morning to pick up my transcript and stuff.

    I got a haircut today. My hair is all short and neat now. I can't wait to see it in the morning after my shower and all gel-ed up and with my slick sunglasses on. I think that I'm a pretty handsome guy, except that I'm a little overweight. I'm going to start eating regular meals. I'll have a reasonably sized lunch, a small snack when I get home and then only one helping of food for dinner. My dinner plate has been refilled the past couple of days, so I'm gaining weight. If I can lose 20 pounds, I'll be really happy. I want to lose weight, so that I can look good for my website.

    Oh! I didn't get any work done on my website today. Seesh, I had to fall asleep for those 4 hours today. Man, I hate it when I fall asleep as such important times. I'm going to try to finish a chuck of the remaining pages this weekend. I have to work at the grocery store this weekend, so I don't know how much I will get done actually.

    I really love the Neon Genesis: Evangelion opening. It's like a work of art. It's so beautiful. I saw Death & Rebirth today, but only up to the intermission. It has some of the best scenes from Evangelion. It's amazing. I watch ErMaC's The End Of Me video. That is one very freak video, especially with Rei at the end. Beware it contains major spoilers.

    Anyway, I guess that's it. I gotta get back in the mode of writing journals again. I stopped because I wanted to finish my video, but that's done now. Goodnight everyone, and enjoy watching my videos!

  • Let's see... 2003-07-30 00:05:00 I haven't been writing in here for a while... I'm updating the studio's website. Xeno found even better hosting than I did. He got us a deal for $10 per month (for the entire studio) for 20GB of space and unlimited bandwidth. I'm kind of doubtful of the unlimited bandwidth, but we'll see. He saw my video and he's like "well, you won't like my review of it." It makes me so mad to see that kind of dumb shit. I really think that he has some freaking screws loose in his skull of his. You don't just go around to creators that spend hours and hours on their videos, who put their heart and soul into a video, and tell them that he or she is going to recieve a bad review. ...I feel like talking to Devo about this, because Xeno just seems like a little punk. He's older than me and he should act more like an adult. Of course we have times when we can just be crazy and goofy, but we have to keep people's feelings in mind!

    Okay, well, this might make me feel a little better after that freaking rant about keeping people's feelings in mind. Christy told me that I'm a really good editor. Effects and editing are completely different things. I don't use many effects in my new video. I think I want to become the best EDITOR, not the best special effects. Editing matters more than special effects. Euphoria had good special effects, but Eternal Damnation and Souls Of Rage And Sorrow beat it out in editing. Editing has the real impact on the viewer, while special effects are just for a larger kick to make the audience ooo and ahhh. I want to be better than old Fluxy!

    Wow, I actually set a goal for myself, but I have to keep in mind that I create AMVs to satisfy my inspiration and not for pure competition.

    Anyway, I'm updating that studio's website. I'm basically the only person to take care of the website, since I don't think that my "assistant" will join the studio. I'm completely alright with that, since I do like web desiging. Here's the rough sketch of the layout:

    I hope you all like it and e-mail me if you guys would like anything changed or think something should be added. I'm pretty proud of this website. It's not as big as my Mobile Suit Wing Zero website (over 150 pages big containing info about Gundam Wing, Endless Waltz, Gundam X, and GUndam 0083), but I really like this website.

    I want to take this opportunity to say for you all to download my videos. You don't have to review it at all, but I say for you to sit back and enjoy it. How many villainious AMVs are there? And all the other Bring Me To Life AMVs suck so badly. Enjoy a good/evil AMV for once. Download something Evil :P

    Wow, I feel like such a telemarketer! They get paid pretty well though.

    I'm going to start ordering parts for my new computer either this week or next. I need to buy the sound card this week, because the $50 rebate ends on Saturday. I just need to shop around for some good DDR RAM (my computer will have 1GB if you remember) and a good capture card. It'll be costing me around $1550 - $1600 total (monitor, speakers, mouse, keyboard included). I say that's pretty good, because the same computer would cost $2700 at Dell.com. It will kick ass and next year will be my big year for AMVs! I'm planning to do 3 Fun/Comedy videos that will blow everyone away! And of course they contain amazing editing skills that can only be provided with my brain and imagination!
