Forgot some stuff about the convention...
2003-05-21 23:25:14
I forgot to mention some things in my little spasm about ACen2k3. There's one huge thing that I want to mention. Before that (just to build up a little suspense) when I first looked at EK's drawing/autograph for me I thought that she was giving me the middle finger. I really hope she reads this, but alas she probably won't. I was freaking out that she gave me the middle finger and then I figured out that she was pointing to herself.
Alright now for the next part. I'm crazy over this cosplayer that I took a picture of at the convention. She was dressed as Aeris (big surprise eh?). I'm so crazy over her. If you have like any information about her please please please pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease tell meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm going to go crazy waiting for another year to meet her. I wanted to dance with her at the soap bubble so much, but she wasn't there. We were leavingthe hotel and THEN I saw her. I should've just left my friends and stayed at the hotel as long as I got to dance with her. I have to find out who she is! I'm going to diiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Alright... Got that out of my system, but I'm going to be dreaming of her for a while. Alright.... Anyway.... Yeah....
Today was a weird day....
At lunch I was telling my friends about my Legato costume for next year, and I was telling them how he was a little gay in the series. We got into this weird discussion and it ended up about my friend saying that I didn't respect him, just chicks. So I was like "I respect you a lot" and a touched his arm. It was so funny, because he jumped away from me. He was so scared of me for the rest of lunch. I did it again to the guy who sits next to me. He was so freaked out at me that I almost made him move seats. It was so funny to watch him squirm and move away from me so many times. Not much else to report because the day went as planned.
I think that I'm going to watch some of my Bubblegum Crisis DVD tonight. I might actually even do a little video editing. It should be lots of fun. Anyway...
Please e-mail me if you know who that Aeris is! Also e-mail me if you like what ya read. I'm always looking for fans! I doubt I have any though, but I like talking in my journal, because it's just stream of consciousness. It's very cool to write down my thoughts and have them gathered in one place other than in like 20 different universes.

Anime Central 2003

Friday, May 16th, 2003
We started from St. Louis at around 7AM, and we reached Rosemont, IL around 1PM. We then got to our hotel room and left our stuff there, just taking the necessities (camera, registration, etc.). We stood in the registration line for about 2 hours, before we could go anywhere we wanted to. We went to watch a little of the Para Para Beginners Panel, and we just stared at the hot women there. My god, they were amazing. Oh, yeah, while we were standing in line for registration we saw so many people dressed for cosplay, so we decided to take pictures. We were laughing at Sailor Bubba. I had my picture taken with a really hot girl from FLCL (I don't know who she was). We also took the picture of 5 Final Fantasy IX characters. I then decided to ask the FLCL chick to the dance that night, so I went over to her and tapped her on the shoulder. When she turned around, she almost hit me with her guitar. I asked her to the dance, but she responded with asking me how old I was. Of course, I lied and said 18 (I'm really only 17 years old). She thought that it wouldn't work out because she's 25, but I told her that it was only a dance. She said yes to one dance. Happily, I went to join my other friends. We went to the dealer shop then for a little bit. We were just really looking around that day. We then decided to go to the Music Video Production Workshop. We thought that it would be cool since we (mainly just me, because the other guys just got into it because of me and they suck badly) are AMV creators. I got really bored really fast, because I thought that it was just a bunch of crap. Mark, Rudy, and I decided to leave in the middle and look for some food, while Torey wanted to stay and learn something. I wouldn't be able to learn anything from them, because I was just as good as them, but I don't have as much money/time/better computer as they do. We found the snack place and decided to eat there since it was free. After that we went to the Music Video Judging Screening, even though I thought that it would be really boring like the Production Workshop. I didn't really stay that long, so I went around, leaving the others, to look around. I was looking for the dance really. I kept going back and forth. We finally decided to go to the dance and have a little fun. We danced for at least an hour and a half, but I never saw that FLCL chick. We decided to leave, since we were so tired. I saw her when we were leaving. She looked drunk and had a guy all over her, going to a room or something. We went back to our hotel and went to sleep. I slept in the chair, because I didn't really want to share any bed. I should've taken a bedsheet from one of them, because it was ungodly cold. I didn't sleep half the night anyway...
Saturday, May 17th, 2003
I woke up fairly early and got ready before anyone else so that I could go to The Great ACen Music Video Contest Screening. Everyone else was sleeping still, so I just took off with Torey's car. I saw about an hour and a half of AMVs, through the first three categories, and only about 1/3 of them were good. I then had to go back to the hotel to pick up everyone else, because they were finally ready, but it took me a full 10 minutes to find the car in the parking garage. We went to McDonald's to eat breakfast and then went to the Dealer shop, where I bought my NERV shirt and 2003 ACen shirt. I decided to go to the car and switch into the NERV shirt. We came back and went to see the Iron Guest: Takeshi Honda VS. CHALLENGER X. One of the judges for the iron Guest was EK! I was so excited. After the contest was over, I went straight to her and asked for her autograph. She was so surprisedthat I wanted her autograph. She asked if I wanted a drawng and I said "Sure!!" I talked to her and told her that she already knew me. I had my picture taken with her and everything. I actually think she's fairly cute (I know she has a boyfriend and everyhting!!). !I had to remind her that my AIM screenname was SephirothGW4, but she remembered me! She really remembered me! I was so surprised! I then got a picture of a Misty sitting behind us. After that we went to eat at the snack place for a little while and back to the Grand Ballroom for Anime Press Your Luck. That was an amusing game and worth it very much. We went back to the snack bar, but I figured out that I lost my badge. I was thinking that I was in deep trouble, because I can't get into anything without it. I checked every single place that would have it, but no luck. We decided to go to the Masquerade, even though I didn't have my badge. We had to wait in line for a long time!! I got to take a picture of an Aeris and Zack couple, and I got some fake vampire teeth. I then decided to ask Misty (the same one that I took the picture of) to the Soap Bubble later that night. She said that she already had a date and she patted my head. WHY DID SHE PAT MY HEAD!? I'm much taller than her! Funny thing is...I never saw her at the Soap Bubble! Anway, we'll get to that later on. I got in by showing my little check that ACen cashed in! We saw the Masquerade and it was pretty cool. I was having a lot of fun watching the skits and everything. While we were looking for my badge before the Masquerade, we saw two girls kissing and making out with each other. It was awesome, and the best part was that they didn't even know each other!! Sorry, I'm a guy. I can't help it! I'm so glad I lost my badge. I found my badge after the Masquerade at Con Ops. Then we waited for the Soap Bubble to start up, so we hung out in the main lobby. I got an awesome picture of a Vash. My camera took a while to get the flash working because the batteries weren't working, so I decided to hit it against my head. It wasn't such a great idea, but everybody laughed. We had to wait for the Soap Bubble, but then everyone got restless and decided to start the party in the lobby. There was a huge conga line and a girl was always on my back. It was awesome. They'd always run into me. The convention staff made us break up, so everyone decided to have a limbo then. I wasn't part of it, so I went to a table that had signs that said that they wanted hugs. Misty was there, but I didn't give her a hug. Don't ask me why I didn't, because she was like a total knockout. I got a total of 12 hugs! I was so...depressed. Anyway, they finally opened the doors and everyone rushed in. We danced around for a while, before I saw a Rei Ayanami. She wasn't as cute as the FLCl chick or Misty, but she was okay. I asked her to dance and it was alright. I had to lie about myself again, because she was definitely older than me. I didn't really like her too much, so I was kinda happy when her friend took her away from me. We just danced and danced and danced for most of the night. I could've definitely gone on longer dancing. I loved it. I never danced in my life before this weekend, but now I just want to dance and dance and dance! I need to buy DDR!! We went back to the hotel and watched some cartoons, then going to sleep
Sunday, May 18th, 2003
We woke up early and went to the Martial Arts Demo, which was alright. We went to eat at Denny's. They went to the Iron Guest, while I went back to the dealer's. I bought a Trigun wallscroll and a Bubblegum Crisis DVD. I went to join the others at the Iron Guest. I didn't stay long, because I really wanted to go to the Art Auction. It was really cool. There was this one Sephiroth peice that I absolutely wanted. I started bidding at $25, and went all the way to $65. Everyone thought that I was crazy, even Gando, but I really wanted that peice. I lost it, because I should've bid $70 instead of $65 for my final bid. It would've given me a greater chance to get it at least. We left a little while after that.
On Friday night, since they wouldn't play my music video at the contest, I had some guy play it on his computer for me. I had a picture taken with my video, and I'll post it on the internet later. There's so much else to write about, but I'm really tired. Goodnight, everybody!

Somewhat tired...
2003-05-14 23:06:30
I'm feeling kinda tired right now, probably because it's kinda hot in here. I finally got my old video working. Now it's time to spruce it up with the new ideas that I got while I was on my "break." It's going to be one hell of a video. It'll probably suck in my opinion, but other people tell me that it's pretty good. I can't wait until I build my new computer. Then I'll be able to create some of the most outrageous videos ever. I already have three new video ideas. Actually it's four ideas. I want to get them done all this year. so that I'll have something. I talked to Devo the other day. He's finally got a job and within a couple weeks he should be back on his feet. Then we can get our studio organized and have our videos all uploaded and stuff. I need to make another donation to the Golden Donut. I want the full donut up already, so that I can upload my Final Fantasy videos. I'm going to start to keep a daily log of what I do on my videos, so that I actually have something to write about in my video summaries and stuff. It'll also give me new ideas and stuff.
I'm so psyched to go to Anime Central this weekend. I'm even skipping school on Friday to go. It means that I have to take my math test one day early, but I think that I'm prepared. The convention starts at 11AM, so I guess we want to be there somewhat at that time. Meaning that we would have to start from here (St. Louis) around 6AM. That means that we have to get up around 5AM. My god, I'm going to kill myself. I think death will be worth it. I hope that they'll let me be a judge in the anime music video contest.
I think that I did pretty well on my AP US Government exam. It seemed really easy. I'm pretty much done with school, so now I can apply for the job at my Dad's work. I'll be working during the day most of the time now, until I get a car. That should be near the end of summer some time, because I think that I will need one by then.
Well, I guess that's it. I'm still waiting for somebody's e-mail who likes my journal and stuff. I prefer a girl though, because I relate better to them. I'm not gay!! I just have a weird sense of stuff. E-mail me if you like what you read. (Doesn't it sound like a personal ad or something?) My writing is more stream of consciousness than anything else. I guess that's what a journal really is; it's not supposed to poetic or anything unless that's the way you think. It's just your thoughts on paper, nothing else. Nothing else? Thoughts mean everything, so I guess that it means that this journal is everything! Anyway, I'm just babbling and arguing with myself, so I'll leave now. No one is going to come online and talk to me, so I might as well leave. I've said that I'm going to leave around 4 or 5 times now, so...

Yeah, so trying to get on the ball...
2003-05-13 00:04:39
I have to study for my AP Exam on Wednesday, study for the ACT and SAT, get ready for Anime Central, get back into my editing mode, look for a cheap car, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
First of all, I have a lot of video ideas that I really want to complete this year, but I really can't do any of them until I get a new computer, which should happen sometime this summer. I've saved up $2000 so far, and if my plan goes correctly, I should be able to make another $3000 this summer. I'll be working two part time jobs for about $230 weekly. I'll be able to pay off tuition for my first year of college, unless I end up at a private university, but I don't think I want to, because it would be an enormous amount of work. Anyway, back to the computer. It should cost $1500 if I make it, because it's going to be like the most amazing computer ever. Here's the specs:
At least a Pentium 4 2.2GHz
1GB of DDRAM
17" flat panel monitor
CD-RW with separate DVD-Rom
Ati Radeon Pro 9700 with TV-out
(2) 60GB hard drives
(1) 80GB hard drive
I'm guessing that that's the main stuff. It's going to be one hell of a computer. Anyway, next topic. Studying is stressing me out a lot. I have my AP Government exam on Wednesday, and I haven't really studied at all. I took a practice test in class and I think that I'm doing pretty well on it. I just need to review all of my outlines for the exam. Final exams are nothing, because I'm just going to be taking Pre-Calculus and Gym. I need to start studying for the ACT and SAT after that. I'm going to buy two more books on the ACT, because my score was really low on that. I have to take both tests next month. I think I said that in my last journal. Oh, well...
Anime Central is going to be a blast. Hopefully they'll let me be a judge in the music video contest. I need my friend to print out a badge for me. I'm probably going to blow $350 on it all.
I need a car, period. Any working car will do.
Today....Didn't do much at all. Alright, then...
Send me an e-mail if ya like my writing, web design, or want to watch my videos, etc. You can also conact me by AIM under SephirothGW4.

Returned!
2003-05-10 12:38:53
I have returned! Finally! My computer broke and we didn't have an internet connection for a while, but we got it fixed and for now have AOL. I'm guessing no one's actually reading this, so if you are and ya like me, then drop me an e-mail. I want to get some of my videos hosting (can't do my FF ones, because of the current rules). I really need to get the cbale modem back. I also need to finish all of the opinions I was going to give to all of the nominated videos in the 2002 VCA Awards.
I'm going to Anime Central next weekend, and I'm so excited about it. They won't let me enter any of my videos in the contest, so I'm just going to take a couple and see if they'll just play them as exhibition videos. My brother got a new laptop, which is like ten times better than my computer, but I'm going to make my own computer this summer. It should cost me around $1500, because it's going to rock every other computer in the world. Then everyone will see my amazing videos! Wow, I have a lot to talk about.
School is going pretty well. I'm having my AP Exams this week, and my last one is on Wednesday. I also need to start studying like hell for my SAT and ACT. I got a 1270 and a 26 respectively. If I just study vocabulary and do a couple more practice tests, I should be able to get an easy 1400 on the SAT. I really just went into the ACT without studying at all, so I really need to do like 25 practice tests for that. I also need one or two more books for my ACT. This is my one chance to prove myself to everyone. I want to go to a good college. My goal was to get into CalTech or Drexel, but it looks like I won't really get into one of those. Now I want to get into Washu, because I know that I can definitely get into Mizzou without any effort. I'm going to get straight A's this semester. It's awesome. I think it's because I've been studying more without my computer.
I got to contact Devolution somehow. He must've wondered what happened to me. I have a lot of work to catch up on.
