  • Kashira, Kashira! Gozonji Kashira! Part 3! 2002-12-24 22:38:23 A new a day, a new journal. Not really.

    I spent about 50% of my time awake today on the "Edit Videos" Page, refreshing it and watching the hits and downloads on my video go up. After almost 24 hours, I have received 153 hits,138 downloads, and 2 ops with an average score of 8.9something! happy dance! Thanks to everyone who download it!

    Also sent in the vid to katsucon. Hope it does well!

    So if you haven't already, check out my video (link below) and give me an opinion ;-).

    I also started work on my next AMV: Utena's High Hopes. Its gunna be rockin (it was the video I was thinknig about doing the entire time I was doing the Hellsing one). I can't wait! ^_^.

  • Kashira, kashira! Gozonji kashira? 2002-11-25 22:51:15 I'm not busy, I just have to apply to 8 colleges, do a crazy science experiment, redo my entire web site in addition to the website for a large online book and complete 1.5 amvs by 12/24/02 for the Katsucon entry deadline...

    I'm going to drop my Utena: High Hopes AMV until the winter break. This will give me time to perfect my Hellsing: Sympathy for the Devil AMV. I can't wait to get to work on the Utena video, it shall rule supremely.

    In other news, my Nightmare Before Christas MV's hits have dropped to a standstill with 250 hits and 140 downloads. Oh well.

    I watched 49 episodes of anime from last thursday to sunday ^_^ And a movie. Lain is very cool (that was the first show). Saikano also rocks, although it is depressing as all hell. Escaflowne is good, but not TOO special. Grave of the fireflies (the movie) is very good, although I don't care for the animation style too much. Oh, and by good, I mean HORRIBLY DEPRESSING! 'Twas the weekend of horribly depressing anime with saikano and fireflies.

    It's time to stop watching anime, go out and grab the last hellsing dvd I'll need for my AMV and start cranking! Check my website (yeah, as if that's gunna happen) at the end of thanksgiving weekend, and some major progress in my hellsing amv should be up. (aka first full draft). 
  • Down with low frame rates and pixelatedness! 2002-11-03 23:26:10 DVD ripping... soo illegit! On my past AMV, I used my video capture card to get some of the footage and the rest was off of the web. So, half of my vid was very pixelated and had the fansubber (or cartoon network) in the corner, and the other half moved at about 4 FPS. It was awful! Last night, I looked into DVD ripping and it is the most illegitimate thing ever (although it is more legitimate than simply download fansubs). With several crazy programs and a night of ripping, I now have hellsing: episode one with no subtitles on my computer, ready to be made into an AMV. you can check it out at: http://www.dvdripguides.com/ .

    Hence ends my PSA... onto self-promotion! I started working on my new amv today (Hellsing: sympathy for the devil).     Some people write the darndest (is that the right word?) things in their journals... I'm just going to keep mine to AMV-related though.
