Ok, so I've calmed down quite a bit from yesterday due to necessity. That being today is the day I start the 9 hour shifts again for the first time in a year. Should be interesting trying to get back into the swing of near full time. *sigh*. It's more money though.
Called a job lead I had sent a resume into about 2 weeks ago, and they're still reviewing them, so hopefully, I still have a shot. It'd be nice to have a job that pays 25,000 a year instead of this 12,000 bullS.
OK THEN. I haven't got around to working on my Nightwish vid, which is kind of urking me because I havent really had the urge to sit down and watch Eva again. I did manage to get through the 4th disc the other day, and there wasn't much on there I could have used. I expect most of my footage to come from EoE and Disc 7. At least I've got a concept in mind.
I love the combination of programs that are DvdDecoder and dvd2avi. I'm ripping my nightwish dvd now! woot.
Thinking about hosting my Dragon Ball Kombat video, just for shits and giggles. We'll see how my bandwith holds up. Well, off to get ready for work. *groan*.

Yeh, you've been warned, so here it goes. For those of you who don't know, I'm a tech support help desk guy for Sony PC's. That means that if you are a mother fucking idiot, I've probably talked to you. That also means that if you have ever in your life had ANYTHING to complain about, then I've probably talked to you. If you've ever felt the need to take out all of your anger on someone because your too goddamn STUPID to PRESS NUMBER LOCK ON YOUR LAPTOP, .. you guessed it, we've talked.
Customers aren't my main problem. Sure, they get on my nerves, thats to be expected. Sure, they're about as smart as a rock, but let me tell you, they're sure as hell less annoying than management. Mother fucker. I swear every corperation's sloagn is "We're company 'X' and we're going to put out a product. Not only that, but we're going to make it absolutely clear that if the product ever fails, that we will not be responsible. Furthermore, because we have developed this plan of action, we will not be responsible for dealing with the people who want to complain. That will be some underpaid unappreciated lacky's job that we pick up from the street.'
yah, it's a long sloagn. Get over it. Management of any type are the biggest mother fuckers in the world. And the worst place to be is between those motherfuckers and customers. GUESS WHERE I AM!
Example:
customer calls up, out of software warrenty. "Hi, my network card causes my system to crash when I use it under XP, but it worked ok with windows 98. The software you sold me is defective." - Let me pause and point out that, indeed, this was a problem with software WE SHIPPED with the unit. Hmm..lesee, how about we take responsibility and FIX THE PROBLEM by getting the computer in for service?
*Talk to management* Management: "Oh, he's out of software warrenty, tell him to call the pay for support line."
me to management: Yes, but this is the barebones software that he got with the system with no modifications. This is defective software that we originally shipped...
Management: Is his unit older than 90 days?
Me: Uh, yes...
Management: Is it a software problem?
Me: Yes, but..
Management: Pay for support thanks bye.
Synopsys: We give this guy the run around for approiximately 3 hours instead of saving EVERYONE fustration and having it fixed in 20 minuites.
Normally, this wouldn't urk me. But it hit me tonight that every customer I deal with gets treated like a peice of SHIT. Not only do they have a shitty warrenty, and are really never made aware of that fact, but when the computers DO break, WE DONT EVEN HELP THEM. So, they get pissed off and take their fustrations out on us. I'm fed up with dealing with other peoples mistakes, screw-ups, and shitty policies. People who make these customers mad should have to deal with them.
GAHH I NEED OUT.

L1 - Crazy Domain Insane - 7GB/mo
L2 - Sweet Dreams - 15GB/mo
L3 - Code Warrior - 25GB/mo
L4 - Strictly Business - 35GB/mo
(Note that overage rates remain the same.)
Our website doesn't yet reflect these new amounts, but rest assured your
accounts have already been configured to receive the extra 5 GB. You can
confirm the correct amount by checking out the bandwidth section of your
web panel. (It's under 'status'!)
We hope this helps to make your summer a little more enjoyable. Now get
