Teh Two Towers

Felt like I needed to counter MJ's journal entry. I saw the midnight showing of Teh Two Towers, Let me first say that I .. unlike many uncivilized beasts here, have read the books. I'm not going because these movies are a fad.
That being said..It fucking rocked beyond anything that has ever rocked before. Faramiers Stronghold is JUST like I imagined it. The waterfalls, the archers, everything. EVERYTHING. Its like a scene right out of my brain. It was both beautiful and creepy. Gollum was amazing, after about 5 minuites that was needed to accept him AS Gollum. Gollum is one of the better characters in the movie, and one of the funniest when he's arguing with himself.
I don't think they devoted enough time to the Ents and Merry and Pippen, thats for sure. I was quite disappointed with Fangorn Forrest, especially the way Treebeard was made to know Gandalf right off the bat.
Fights: Some of the best fighting I have ever seen. AMAZING battle sequences. The Ents attacking Isenguard was better than Helms Deep. Helms Deep was supposed to be the highlight of the movie. Don't get me wrong, Helms Deep owned any fighting sequence in ANY other movie, The Ents were just that much cooler. The Warg Battle was sweet too. Gandalf and the Balrog was pretty nifty too.
Flying Nasgul... Oh my god. That thing was AMAZING. You have to see it. it's just that insane. Worm Tounge was pretty good as well.
Biggest problem: PJ took 2 creative liberties I wanted to shoot him for. 1. Faramir takes Frodo to Gondor. WHAT THE EVER LOVING FUCK? and 2: While in Gondor, (which should have never happened... Frodo enounters the Nasgul King. and basically says "yo, here's the ring. have it."
GAH!!
Um, I could do this for the next 3 hours, so I'm just going to stop. If you've read the books, for the love of god, go see this movie. -

Oh how I love the stress of the holidays. Oh how I love living at home. Oh how I love when these two nightmare terrors get together and drive me up a fucking wall. My mom doesn't handle holiday stress very well at all, and well, I don't handle her not handling holiday stress well either. Her monitor died yesterday, and so I offered to call the manufacturer instead of having her hurl it at the wall. Because I didn't do it within 5 minuites, I became an ungreatful spoiled brat who doesn't do anything around the house and I should get out because I'm unwanted.
whatever.
Then she goes down and gives additude to my stepdad, who gives additude back. Next thing I know, she's screaming at him and threatened to call a laywer for divorce papers.
Merry fucking Christmas everyone.

LOS ANGELES (Dec. 14) - A President Bush doll that says ``We're working hard to put food on your family'' and ``I will not hold this nation hostile'' has turned into a huge hit for a small company.
The 12.5-inch-tall likeness, which features clips from Bush speeches and campaign stops, sold out a first shipment of 12,000 this week. A second shipment of the $29.99 doll won't arrive until after Christmas.
