The Events That Come To Pass

It's officially over. I will have absolutely nothing to do with her. The conversation I just ended with her was the final straw. She has been completely removed from my life, unless she attempts to make contact herself.
I am, of course, talking about my ex-girlfriend. Five months of a relationship that went from perfect to Hell quicker than I could blink... and yet, I still held out. I realize now how much of a nimbwit I was then, and I'm now glad to see the err of my ways.

My first journal entry. How many of these do I need to keep up with, anyway?
Lately I've been putting off making AMV's to perfect my ability to capture and encode video footage from DVD's. Today I think I finally did just that. I spent some three hours working with my video/capture card's drivers and finally got the capture program to work. I then tested it in Premiere and the footage came out, so far, the best of all attempts (including ripping the VOB's and encoding through DVD2AVI, FlasKMPEG or Xmpeg).
I've discovered that my domain which has no content on it and is hosted through homestead.com will remain mine if I delete my homestead account, and will be the best rate ever, $15/year. This means that all I'll then need to do is get a get the Dynamic DNS service I found for the one-time fee of $30 and actually get the server built.
There have been problems with the server. I found out that Windows 2K Server requires more computer than the computer I was going to build for it has. I'll have to put more money than I had hoped into getting it built... however it shall be worth it. Once I get this completed and the domain routing to it, then I will work on making AMV's once again.
For now, all projects are on hold. The Initial Pro-Am video, while extremely short, was just a test of what I could do with Premiere without ever having used it until I installed it and produced the video in some three days. I enjoyed every minute I poured into that, from working out the bugs to the final render, and with David Violence helping me learn clearer cuts and some effects, my next video should prove something worthy of viewing.
I believe that shall do it for now.
