  • Cough 2012-10-27 20:28:35 Ugh, still haven't been able to fully kick this cold since AWA. I was feeling better then it came back and lost my voice again. Right when I was starting a new assignment that required me to talk...a lot...bah. I was assigned to work at a both at the National FFA convention that held there in Indy and by the end of the day my voice was just shot.

    Oh well not like we're gonna work with that women again, she was a total bitch and is officially on the 'Do not work with' list. At least the FFA kids were nice, even saw some from my old high school and found out my old Bio teacher still working there XD

    Anyway trying to finish AC: Brotherhood so I can finally unwrap and play Revelations that been sitting on my mediashelf since April. I doubt I'll be done in time for 3 but should at least be ready for it by the end of the year.

  • Madoka Magica the movie(s) 2012-10-22 22:36:28 So I went to Chicago for the weekend to see the Madoka Magica movies at the Music Box.(Which is about a 3 hour trip to get there from where I live, however it took 4 hours because the bus driver got lost..fail) Stayed with a friend who lived there and he went with me to see the movies. He hadn't seen the show but knew I was a fan and did want to check it out. So we get there about a hour and a half before they start letting people in. I was about mid way in the line when I took this:

    Yea...the whole place was full of people just to see a magical girl anime. It was awesome! Just the energy alone was amazing. The movies themselves were great. While the 1st 2 movies are a re-cap of the series it isn't just a simple editing job. A lot of the scenes were re-done with ether a completely different background, a different angle, or a new scene all together. In Sayaka's case her magical girl outfit was giving hairpins. Each girl was also giving a new transformation scene in place of the one they had in the show, the best ones in my opinion where Mami's and Kyoko's. I was happy to see they put some real work into it. What I gotta say that I love the most was the new music. I'm a big fan of Yuki Kajiura and this is some of the best I've heard from her. At the end of the 1st film, which ends at the end of episode 8, the music was changed and even through I already knew what was happening it sent a chill down my spin with the new music. I really hope they release a OST soon.

    My friend who went with me, as I mention, hasn't seen the series. So when I asked him what he thought he said he really liked it and that it wasn't what he expected. So I was glad he liked it. At the end of the credits they showed a preview for the 3rd movie and it is a completely new movie and it starts soon after the anime ended so that something to look forward to next year. Hopefully they will have another event like this one.

    The whole event lasted from about 10 pm to 2 am with about a 5 or so minute intermissions. All and all it was a blast and even when I got home I pretty much passed out it was worth the trip. I do suggest checking it out as it gonna be fun to edit with. Looking forward to the 3rd one.

  • Anime Crossroads 2012 MV Contest rules *re-post* 2012-10-19 02:33:19 I don't really have a lot of time so please send in a video or two. Rules where changed so that it now allows all types of footage other then just anime so send away.

  • One Track Minded Age 2012-10-04 04:21:13 Yea....been awhile I guess. Just wanted to do some cleaning. Oh the title has nothing to do with what I'm writing, just happens to be the title of the song I'm listing to at the moment.

    Well...yea...nothing to really talk about just bored and I can't sleep so nothing new =). Well new video but that already been mentioned...still can't believe it won O.o

    Anyway if anyone actually ether up or this is still up when people are awake to read this...I don't know go listen to the song I put in the title or something =P

    Gonna try to get back into the swing of things, hopefully.
