A Boy Named Sue (2003 Revision) finished
2003-08-02 20:04:40
Just finished doing what needed to be done with it, one weakness about it tha tpisse sme off but there wasn't anything i felt I could do with it so I am uploading it now. I am thinking of putting up Humans Being up as well since i dont plan to remake it since i feel it has "decent" picture quality and looking back it is sitlla good AMV with little or no weaknesses. But the thing next for me is to revamp Cat Scratch Fever but I wont start work on that till tomorrow. Should ge tmy pay check on Monday so I could make another GOlden Dounut donation soon. That is pretty much it.

Premeir is like democracy
2003-08-01 22:52:18
Like Premeir its the worst form of politcs while the better than everything else.
Or at least from what I am known of, see I live in a town where even if you go to the computer wizes of the city and say Adobe Premeir they will say "huh", everyone if not most of the people in this city look for computers just for the reuglar stuff its only me and Reggie that make AMVs.
I know everyone gets fustrated with Adobe on how it all of a sudden terminates when you work on a project and are so into it you forget to save. Its weird I honestly think my Adobe Premeir has a mind of its owna nd selectively picks the best times to shut my project down. When I started today I went 4 hours without a error or any kind. And I did everything I usually do fromt he resizing, transition putting, slowing/speeding, etc etc and no problems. However I go into it to do a little bit before the night is over and after 10 minutes BOOM it happens losing a few seconds of work (I wa sint he middle of practising my lip sync and I almost got it down path when it happen, thank god my desk is one tough old son of a bitch so it can stand me pounding my fist down on it). Try working on it again and I cant even go 5 minutes without something fucking up. Yeah I know I know it happens to everybody. Its jus tlike an article I read today in the paper. If you hate Fort McMurray drives don't look in the mirror. Meaning everyone says everyone else is a bad driver is no better than saying you are (while lets face it I honestly believe most of the people got their license from a box of cracker jacks). I know I am a bad driver but I have only been driving for less than a year. I have never cut anyone off intensionally like everyone seems to love to do. I have stuck by the speed limit at all times when no one else or mos tpeople don't. I try to be as generous as possible in traffic letting people in and out while there are many inconsiderate bastards. Hey I have made many mistakes while driving and I will admit them all but thats because I am a teenager and I bet i am a way better driver than half of the teens in this city who pay more attension to their stereos bass than the driving. Not only youth but it seems that its the old people who are the worst.
But thats jus tme in my constant bitching, sorry I have a tendancy to bitch when I am bored and things dont work out. The only things happy about my day is
Tim Owens is the singer of Iced Earth. While he is no Matt Barlow I can sleep easier knowing he is the voice of Iced Earth. honestly I feel sorry for TIm Owens he always seems to be the replacement guy that no one likes. He goes to Judas Priest and he gets nothing but disrespect from the fans, he goes to Iced Earth to replace Matt Barlow when Halford goes back to Judas Priest and gets some disrespect from Iced Earth fans. First and foremost Tim Owens is a incredible singer an dmy hats off too him for trying his best. I love power metal I think it kicks major ass and honestly I think he could do Iced Earth some good. For the past few albums Iced Earth has been slightly repetitive, not that that is a problem because lets face it my most favorite band in the world is AC/DC and they have been sounding the same for decades. The thing is I guess if TIm stays for more albums and tours, hopefully becoming a perminent singer I feel he can bring Iced Earth too a new level. Call that optimism but that is better than slamming the guy befor eyou hear what he can do. He may never be able to fit into the shoes of Matt Barlow or Rob Halford but none the less in my opinion neither of them could fit in his, all this musically speaking. I have heard excerpts from the new Iced Earth albumw ith him in it and honestly I am impressed I sense a new level Iced Earth is forming and it sounds damn good.
Of course that is only my opinion, no one ever listens to me.
I guess my taste in power metal IS VERY different than most of all of the power metal heads that i know. I must b eone of the only people who think Horror Show is the best Iced Earth album EVER (yes I heard all their other albums, well until The GLorious Burden comes out it is the best) and is the best album I ever heard.
I love Judas Priest music old and new. I enjoyed Jugulator and Demolition is the best Judas Priest album ever in my opinion so far while others just insult it . Yet again instead of listening to it and trying to enjoy it they spend too much time trying to compare and its there that people dont get that effect. Same goes for him and Barlow, isntead of comparing listen as a Iced Earth fan, a power metal fan. If you dont like it fine but give it a chance.
Thats all I guess, just restar tmy computer and go back to work on my revamping of A Boy Named Sue. I am 75% done. All I need to do is the lip sync parts. ALl Ia m really doing is replacing the old blurry audio with CD rip quality audio, the old blurry VHS style video with much clearer DVD footage. Most of it is the same while some changes. I am doing the lip sync now for practise for future AMVs wher eit is vital jus tlike it is in this one. WHen I am done hopefully I can put it up as a local download. I doubt it would do good since no one appreciates old fashion AMVs now unless there is special effects in it too the hilt with picture perfect quality. But I dont care, if I enjoy it first and foremost then thats the main thing.

SWORDS canceled
2003-08-01 12:05:40
I am swamped the project, I just cant get the ideas flowing, quite disapointing so at this time right now I am just going to remake/revamp some of my old AMVs for awhile till I feel like doing the Bedtime Project which shouldn't be that hard since it is based only on one scene and the song is rather short, the shortest I have used in awhile. First AMV I will be revamping is "A Boy Named Sue" since I got the Samurai X DVDs I can revamp the picture quality of the AMV as well as sound quality since i got the Johnny Cash CD with the song on it however it is still sounding in live format but thats the best I could do. Why am I revamping it, i need practise in lip sync. Some of my future project will have vital lip sync parts and so I might as well get practise now through this AMV. It was well recieived a few years ago when not everyone had picture perfect video quality and special effects too the hilt. Now that demand is high on everyones expectations. A Boy named Sue is a simple AMV, where I take the story of Samurai X and screw around and make a story out of it through the song "A Boy Named Sue" but of course I know some people wont get it because lets face it who reads the description part of the AMV part before they download it? I do and maybe others do but it seems not many do. A Boy Named Sue wont really take that long, after i finish that one I will tyr and get right back to Cat Scratch Fever, then some others. After I finish remaking Sweating Bullets (the AMV that deserves to be remade the most!) I will go after the Bedtime project.
Thats it for now, sorry if I got some people's hopes up for the SWORDS, my hopes were up to but my hopes over ran the AMV that i felt I just couldn't make an AMV of that scale. I gues sit was the fear of screwing up and looking like a real idiot in the process. I much rather make an AMV with the confidence that I can do it and get it done. Hard to explain but its the morning here in Alberta Canada close to the afternoon. I got to work soon so till the next time.

11%/Sounds Of War Saga
2003-07-31 01:33:03
11% done my next AMV, I worked on a bit today. I only got a few seconds done of it, the percentage is probably less than that since tomorrow I will change the beginning of the chorus I done because I dont think I am satisfied with it. I dont even think the AMV will truly come out well, sort of an true escape from my style yet music taste is back where it should belong, in the hard rock/heavy metal selection but I will always venture off once in awhile but I wills till stick to that root of heavymetal/hard rock.
But like before I am just going to take my time, do a bit at a time I am in no hurry to finish it I just want to get it done by end of September or so.
Watched the Daredevil and I really enjoyed it, as a kid I loved comics to death (but will always be a Wolverine freak, HE CAN BEAT SPIDERMAN) honestly my favorite comics were
1: X Men/Wolverine (movies good but you know there will be a Wolverine solo movie sooner or later)
2: Spawn (the movie sort of sucks but that was because it had to be restricted to PG-13, thats bullshit, I felt it had the right cast just the wrong approach)
3: The Punisher (the movie was ok)
I got into the Punisher first by accident sort of, my parents bought Punisher WARZONE #3 for me, they didn't care about the violence and it didn't turn me into Frank Castle in the end either. I loved comic I read it every day then I got The Punisher War Journals #26. Of course i lost them but I remember the issues like yesturday. Then I got into X Men after by getting into the Wolverine first when I got a Wolverine issue where he was in the Weapon X installation base, the place where they screwed with his mind. In the comic he was getting his mind screwed up while Cyber or Sabretooth I cant remember who was climbing around. Soon after I got into the Legion saga which lead to The Age Of Apocolpyse. After the cartoon I learn more about the past before the stuff I got into. I cant wait for X Men 4, but I am lookign further I amd ying to see them make The Age Of Apocolpyse movie (probably wont happen for years to come). They are making a new Punisher movie, I am totally stoked for it. Then a Fantastic Four movie (jumping like a kid), then a Ghost Rider movie as Nick Cage being Johnny Blaze (hopping like a kid). Oh well yes I am a comic geek but I dont care.
Becoming a wiz with the tanks in Battlefield 1942, I like playing that game it gets me in the mood I want to be in when I work on my AMV. I am thinking that this SWORDS project will be another part to the Sounds Of War Saga I have through my AMVs
Sounds Of War 1 - Aces High by Iron Maiden for Gundam Wing
Sounds Of War 2: Rush Of Adrenaline - The Trooper by Iron Maiden for Ohta of Patlabor (I will remake tha tone since now I got more Patlabor footage in DVD)
There just might be a Sounds Of War 3: Symphony Of Swords - I Am The Sword by Motorhead for various anime (mainly Beserk and Kenshin OVA/Samurai X)
There will be a part 4 and 5 I already have ideas for them but I dont want to make them till I am ready
SOW4 - Holy Wars by Megadeth - Evangelion
SOW5:War Ensamble - War Ensamble by Slayer - Various (possible used with real life war footage or movie war footage)
But they are years before made happen I am not ready nor willing to do them yet, but hopefully no one will steal my ideas, most likely have or after they read this they will.
Who knows maybe tomorrow I can get 22% done.

Ready to start
2003-07-28 19:40:30
I am ready to start my AMV but I dont think I will today, I guess I want to be in the right mood before I work on the AMV. I want to take my time and put considerable care to what I want to acomplish. My friend Reggie (Dragon Slayer Productions, guy who was with me at Animethon 10) was talking to Vlad while Iw as shopping around for a good deal. Reggie told me that Vlad recommended me and Reggie (I think I am not quite sure) a program to use. I forgot the name of it alreayd I left a message on Reggie's ICQ to get back to me on it. I guess I might as well experiment with new programs before I start. If I dont find the recommended video editor to be to my liking I will go back to the old betsy Adobe I guess. I have finally got the hang of doing a good amount of stuff on Adobe but I guess it is the hardcore digital effects that many experts are using now with Adobe After Effects, etc etc is way beyond my reach right now, well at least for now. I just watched Vlad's new AMV using Roy Orbison music. I didn't mind the AMV but I guess you can say I am not used to those digital effects that he uses in it, same goes for others. I guess I am too old fashioned I dont think its right to do something like that but hey it was a good AMV none the less and I should shut my trap because I am not even close to make as good AMVs as him. Oh well more experience is what I need and I hope that the next AMV will be another step up for me. I will be changing jobs soon and if it is sucessful I may donate more to the golden dounut than I used to I just wish that their censorship rules were not so with hardcore violence and nudity, oh well I guess. WWE RAW is almost on, I must get a mp3 of that new Motorhead song I heard last week "Evilution" on RAW, theme for HHH's new stable (wrestling slang for gang), but they will probably have it on the next WWE CD I bet. Other than that things have been boring for me, not much work, all I have been doing is ripping and decoding DVDs for my next AMV. Trying to take step by step what ErMaC and Absolute Destiny says at least to my interpretationa s well as trying new things. DVD2AVi doesn't work anymore so I use DVDx and it seems to work for me. I use DVDdecryptor and that one works like a charm most of the time (not for Record Of Lodoss War unfortunately). I took my audio from my "Bastards" by Motorhead CD, the song I will be using "I Am The Sword" I used VideoWave to do it. Turns it into a RAW WAV file I believe. I usually dont use RAW from CD wavs for my AMVs, whyb ecaus emos tof th emusic i use I dont own myself unles sits AC/DC,Megadeth or the sort. Garbage I didn't have the CD for, same with We Didn't Start The Fire but I guess that is why History In ANime doesn't sound too way. So this time around I am trying to cover up as much of my tracks as possible. Using all DVD footage, straight from CD audio, and trying to find the best editing software to do it with. I turned parts of the VOBs into AVI using the huvyui codec and once I did and gathe rup the clips and put them under DV format (I beleive ErMaC said in his guide that DV is good because it keeps the frames) so it would save me alot of space while not dropping frames. Hopefully I am doing things right, someone tell me when I am doing something terribly wrong. So far the only things that maybe a problem is my editing expertise. I plan on my SWORDS project being very fast pased and more split second frames while the AMVs going on maybe to give feel. I am just talking about what I se ein my mind. What may come out will be a different pictur,e hopefully not but that most of the time seems that way. I want to be in the perfect mood to do this SWORDS project but one way or the other I want to start at the start of August and work on it for a month bit by bit, I want to be done by October so I can start to remake some of my old AMVs before its too late to start making the final plans for my next wave of new AMVs to compete at ANimethon 11 and Anime Evolution possibly. Hopefully with my new job if I am excepted I will have enough money to ge tmore anime, music, save more for me moving to Calgary, as well as donate to golden dounut more often.
Other that I can work on the AMV right now if I want to. But i am not like before.
