JOURNAL: MetalWolf (Corey )

  • 2003-09-20 14:00:19 I just reviewed my AMV and while in most ways its all I wanted in it, its still not good enough on some points. There is one scene I will most likely remove because I dont think it fits with the next scene I show. There are also somespots of dirty clips in the AMV, they ar ehard to notice but if you look closely they are there so I will go and remove them. Not to mention I need to keep on crucial seen interlaced which I forgot to do before I started to produce it. The biggest weakness however I guess is the lack of transitions where it need be. I feel there are too many clear cutted scenes in it, where one scene goes to another fast where it looks bad on the AMV I guess its just liek Rubyeye said years ago to me that that was one of the weaknesses of the AMV.He was the one who said I should learn how to make the AMV flow. And that is certainly how I try to do it however i am still learning and my style is still a bit the same as it was years ago just more cleaner and such. I dont know but I still enjoy my style of how to make AMVs and I just can't see myself doing any AMVs in Rubyeye's style because that is not how I see them, I would like to but I wont because I can't. My style is my style and i keep it that way and learn what I can in time.

Bottomline remaking this AMV has been a bit of experience but I am still not done yet i feel I need to add more transitions to try and keep flow and so much of a bangscene then bang another scene type of show. I hope I can get it done by the end of the weekend (It feels like Sunday right now) but it all depends since today and tomorrow I am working 8 hour shifts so if I do work on it it will either be a little in the morning or a bit in the night.

I will take my time on it however, if I dont get it done by the end of the weekend then I guess it will be done some other time but the weekend is what I am aiming for.

I know what I want to go for after VOMS anyway as well as some others if time permits before November.

After I finish VOMS however I will take a rest from AMV making and rent RAW 2 and Wrestlemania 19 for the week then I will start on remaking Fuuma Walks.
  • KMFDM - the savior of music for 2003 2003-09-18 14:26:22 I have to say the music of this year has TRULY sucked, disapointment after disapointment.

    Queensryche "Tribe" - sucks
Iron Maiden "Dance Of Death" - BIg disapointment
Black Label Society "The Blessed Hellride" - Stupid rip off of Stronger Than Death.
Godsmack "Faceless" - Two thumbs down
Sepultura "Roorback" - Its ok, much better than the others but compared to Nation it doesn't hold up.

The only two albums that have been good is "Slowmotion Daydream" by Everclear and....(ducks for cover fromt he possible flame) St.Anger by Metallica. I mean St.Anger in my opinion isn't that bad, yeah production sort of sucks but I mean at least they trying to get back on track to being what they used to, if they lost Bob Rock and got back with Flemming Rassusen (If thats how its spelt) I bet they could put out some great stuff). And anyways even if they did I garutnee most people would still hate Metallica, why because it seems that its a never ending cool thing to insult Metallica, they are the poster boys for sellouts it seems.

Its sad when the best metal album of the year in my opinion is from Metallica, thats truly sad. The best album period comign from Everclear is just as much sad. However after hearing some stuff from KMFDM's new album they maybe the only great album this year. Because Alice Cooper's newest album coming soon sounds like nothing but a disapointment from the start.

However I will enjoy or at least i hope enjoy 2004 albums

    AC/DC
    Iced Earth
    possible Blind Guardian
    Nightwish
    Judas Priest
    Hatebreed
    Slayer
    maybe a Rob Zombie album
    possible Fozzy
    possible Rollins Band

Hopefully 2004 will be a good year in music, anything just better than 2003. I am still mad because i am truly disapointed with the Iron Maiden album.
  • More remakes on the way 2003-09-09 01:03:56 Since I ordered a bit of anime I guess while I am waiting for the anime to come in I have already planned on remaking two AMVs through the month of September I beleive

Victims Of Moira Syndrome - Video quality is horrid for a DVD rip so I am remaking it again since I have finally got the stuff down path

Vampires (revisisted) - Yes I am remaking an old old AMV that has a good story to how it was made.

Since I seem to make horror AMVs better drunk I might as well stock up on liquor when I start this one.

Around October I will start remaking

    Sounds Of War 2
    Against The Wind
    Enter Orson
    Devil Appears
    COD

I am thinking of making an AMV to signal my 3rd year anniversary but I am still deciding how but I know it will have something to do with Record Of Lodoss War since that was the first series I got into from anime, the first anime I ever seen that i knew was anime was Vampire Hunter D.

Here are some of my ideas

    St.Orson - St.Anger by Metallica - Orson of ROLW
BOOH3 - I'd Lie For You by Meat Loaf - Orson and Sheris of ROLW

the other two I would leave as a srurpise but it all depends on how things turn out by around November
  • In the Desert Plains 2003-09-03 02:46:16 Right now I am still within my AMV creators block it seems all the AMVs I have been doing lately or a good amount of them i haven't been able to get a good idea out of them even though before doing it I had it all played out in my mind. I am at the brink of giving up the small project I had which was a Judas Priest song, As for Sweating Bullets it continues to teeter on being something I want to work on some more or not. Right now I am almost postive I want to work on an AMV but one where I can get the good ideas out easy. If there is any other AMV remake I may do in due time its SOW2: Rush Of Adrenaline, possibly make two versions of the AMV, one with the original Iron Maiden "The Trooper" song and one with the killer live Blind Guardian cover of the same song.

I will take it under high consideration thats for sure.

One thing thats sure is I have had no loss of drama ideas, thats all I have gotten, for the single of the newest Meat Loaf song I already have an idea for BOOH4. WHich I may do after
    BOOH3.

So many ideas however when I do them I just go blank, I hate it when that happens, yet i Know that happens to everyone the only times where that never happened was with The World Was Never Enough and History In Anime.
  • Some updates 2003-09-01 01:09:10 Weirdly I am still doing bits and peices of Sweating Bullets however I hav ecome across and I dea I am just riding with right now that I got while I was sitting down today. I guess its for a character in Akira that I guess out of him and Tetsuo, he gets very little AMV play (except Oh Keneda!), I am just going with it and seeing how far I get. It could possibly be a new AMV from me The Metal Wolf, sort of a return to using metal music again.

Desert Plains by Judas Priest - Keneda (Akira)
