JOURNAL: Crohan (Michael )

  • Done.... Annnnd Done 2011-08-31 01:44:48 After 2 and 1/2 weeks of vacation, I managed to complete my first amv in a very long time. Hopefully I can take all criticisms to heart to improve my up coming projects. The title of the video is Europa at War, the song is This Is War by 30 Seconds to Mars, and the Anime is Valkyria Chronicles. Woohoo!
  • LOST MY WORK!!!! 2011-07-20 21:11:53 ARGH!!! Stupid OS locked up and force closed Adobe! So freakin' lame!!! I lost a minute of footage!!!!

So I took a couple of days off. And now I'm back again. Not only have I got what I lost back, but I'm even further along the road now.

    Keep at it!
  • Well Underway 2011-07-12 17:42:52 Can you tell I've been working diligently? I haven't been on amv.org in the past few days because I've been working on my project. I have no idea how it's going to turn out. At first, I was kinda at a block... I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go with it. I knew it was going to be action oriented, but there are several sub plots going on in the series that could use a bit of spot light time. There was also another option of creating a storyline specifically for the video, but I didn't want to bother too much with it. It's still to early to tell. I'll keep the journal updated though in the mean time
  • It's over 9000! ...megabytes 2011-07-08 00:29:02 I'm in the last stages of film prepping and it's taking forever. I'm using the UT video codec to encode some footage with a few modifications to it... I forgot how huge these files can be!! Like 9 gigs per episode (25 episodes)... It's nuts how much room these things take. I'm lucky I decided to get a hard drive.
  • Sink or Swim 2011-07-06 15:42:34 So I put myself in a sink or swim position. I figured that if I enter myself in a contest, then I'm forced to produce an amv and turn it in. This, of course, flies in the face of all my fears of entering one of my videos. I'm trying to get over that as much as I can and submitting myself to a contest is definitely one of the best ways to do this.

I'm trying to finish up the series of my next amv quickly so that I have enough time to edit. One of my concerns is that my computer won't have the processing power to edit the 12 gig episodes on my comp (12 gigs each of maybe 15-16 episodes I'll be using). I'm going to finish the series today and begin work tonight or tomorrow.
