Thinking about attending Sugoicon in Covington at the end of October. Problem is they seem pretty disorginized. There's no info posted yet on their AMV contest with less than 2 months to go.
2nd problem...I don't have an AMV I'd be able to show or would consider showing at this time. Naru-85 already took Ohayocon. Girls Who Like Girls was good for a laugh but apparently after 3 cons, isn't prize material. My Negima AMV sunk like a rock even though I love it still and I don't think I can get away with my hentai AMV. Looks like my only option would be to crank out something and quickly. (Provided they get around to listing the contest details.)
I still have parts of 3 videos in various stages but I'm not happy with any of them. I've started thinking about the idea I had for a halloween AMV last year. The timing would be perfect. Bad part is I'd have to buy the Hellsing set...an anime I never really enjoyed, to make it. -

Squirrleyacorns is no longer the biggest assbag on the Org! That distinction now belongs to Balrogdandd. Shithead decided that my Inter-What??? AMV crossed the decency lines and left an opinion of all 1s with the only comment being 'This should be removed from the org'. Sorry charlie, I've obeyed the listing rules and given plenty of warnings of the adult content. I'm not even going to comment back...on to AD for removal.
Saturday, we went to our local ballpark to see the Columbus Clippers (The Yankee's AAA farm team.) We'd walked about 8 blocks there and back...and my left foot is hamburger again. I didn't tihnk walking that far was >that< bad but I've lost about a 2" diameter spot of skin on the ball of my foot. Back to the wraps and half-shoe.
Replaced the alternator on my van yesterday, or more accuratly, my dad replaced the alternator. (I'd just as soon pay some grease monkey to do it. Dad's an old school DIY mechanic.) Since dad replaced it last year before he gave us the van he couldn't quite believe that it had already gone out but I showed him several testimonials from other owners complaining that the alternators tend to go out on nearly a yearly basis. It was tougher work than dad bargained on. Instead of using washers to act as 'spacers', the new alternator had built-in spacing...and it was too big to fit. I ended up having to grind the case down until it would fit using my hobby grinder...something my dad hadn't been prepared for. (So I was good for something after all.)
After dad left and we went shopping, I started feeling feverish and woozy...the beginning of infection trying to set into my foot. I ended up spending most of the day in bed and felt a little better today after getting some antibiotic cream on my foot.
