I just cannot quit looking at requitt's dirty banner and giggling. That is >so< funny!
Here's a slightly amusing personal story...
When my mom was pregnant with me, there was a lot of pressure from various family members to have me named after them. (Despite what had been a very large, extended family, I was the first child in ages as several cousins were sent off to 'Nam and my surviving uncle (dad's older brother) had fertility problems. (Him and my aunt did eventually crank out 3 daughters.)
My dad made them all a bet...if my birth fell on anyone's birthday, I would be named after than person. (This was not an impossible feat...my dad, one of his aunts and now one of my nieces all share Aug 4th. 3 nieces and my brother share Feb. 8th while my sole nephew just missed with Feb 18th.) Quite a few of my relatives were scattered between Spetember and October.
One of these was my grandmother who was born today, September 30th. In 1966, my mother went into labor about 5 am on September 30th. I managed to hang on until 5;10 am October 1st...

I haven't been this depressed in ages. Just finished the last 5 fansub episodes of mahou Sensei Negima...what an emotional roller coaster ride. I hate ambigous endings, but at least it >looks< like everything is ok in the end.
Rough day at work but at least it looks like just about everything fell our way. I do have to head in an hour early in the morning though...already have a call-off to deal with.

Dull times

Unlike last week, things have been pretty dull at work. (And for that matter, at home too.) This isn't necessarily a bad thing...when >I'm< busy at work, everyone else had better worry.
Did a remaster of Negima for Bakuretsucon for the heck of it. Nothing really special, just changed it from AVI to MPG, I didn't really see much quality improvement. (It didn't get worse either though.) I really don't know how well this will do, especially in the drama catagory, but maybe some exposure will help it. (Ratings have bumped up some ever since I uploaded the revised/fixed version.) Another thing that may help is that it is a retelling of Negi's fight with Evangeline the vampire...and the con is right before Halloween. I may pick up some holiday bonus points.
I was amused in AMV Hell 0 that someone else used another Schoolhouse Rock song - 'Verb', to another porno scene. Everyone commenting so far has pointed out how I 'warped' their childhood memories of 'Interjections' in my hentai AMV. (In a funny way.) I smell another potential MEP...Saturday Morning Cartoons!
Wife goes away for a week or so next Tuesday to one of her cousin's graduation from the Marines. Daughter and I are going to P-A-R-T-Y!
