Another 3rd shift...homefully my last for a long time. Just sitting her dreaming of a Sonic Drive-In limeaid....problem is the nearest sonic is a 2 1/2 hour drive away. That's the biggest downside to traveling so much...I get hooked on food in other areas I just can't get locally and have to travel back to get them again. Hungarian Hot Dogs at Tony Packo's in Toledo, (A 3 hour drive), Pink's Hot dogs in L.A., Shells seafood (esp. the conch fritters) in Daytona and Orlando. The best Chicago-dogs are at this place near Loyola Unv. in Chicago. (Anybody see a pattern about hot dogs here? If you can stuff it into a casing, I'm there.) Even my favorite cheeseburger is a 60 mile drive to a place in southern Ohio. I have never been in Atlanta and >not< stopped at the Varsity. (The world's largest Drive-in where I get...what else?...chili dogs.)
I have yet to make the trip to Huntington WV where rumor has it the old GD Ritzy's store has been ressurected...once my all-time favorite dogs when they were a major chain. -

Everyone is home, more or less sound. Wife Tammy's cousins got kicked out of their motel a day early and started driving back Friday night. Tammy called me in tears about 2 am Friday saying they were so &%@$%^ lost and her only cousin with a driver's liscense was being a royal dick. After getting the scenic tour, they arrived home yesterday. Again, what should have been a 14-16 hour trip turned into a 48 hour marathon. Dickhead even has the nerve to try to shaft me. He was instructed that he had to fill the tank on return and its only 3/4 full. He's bitching that everyone is out to take HIS money. Tammy said she thought they were going to jail when he started insulting toll collector's on the WV turnpike. It'll be a cold day in hell before I help them out again. (And they're already talking about going to where ever the one who graduated from the Marines finishes whatever technical school they send him to next. Tammy wants to fly in/out without her cousins.)
Daughter and I went to Greenfield Villiage at the Henry Ford Museum Saturday / Sunday. Things went pretty good if a bit cold. Trip home took me longer than I expected...4 hours. I just barely got any sleep before having to get up just after 10 pm to be in here at work by 11. I'm nearing the 3/4 point of a 12 hour day and can't wait to go get some real sleep.
Michigan lost to Minnesota but the weasels weren't alone in their misery long when the Bucks got beat by Penn State too. The tears were flowing in the hotel bar Saturday night. No more hopes of making Pasadena this year.
Looks like we're smelling blooming onions in the Outback Bowl. -
