I decided when I entered high school for the first time that my days were done. Although a funny thing happened on the way to the football game...
My first night 'retired' was also a high school football game and I was walking to school in my band uniform. One of the old biddies on my street recognised me and wanted to know why I wasn't coming up to her house. I explained I was done since I was in high school and my 'costume' was my band uniform. She insisted that it was still a costume to her and I'd better get my tail up there and get some candy. :) That was my last official piece of candy.
Tonight's the night around here. I'm playing scrooge though. We live on the end of a dead-end street and rarely see more than 10-20 kids tops. Even though I'm feeling better today after a crappy weekend, I don't feel like aggravating a cold. -

Picked up a bad cold or a minor flu. Either way, I've felt like crap and been flat on my back most of yesterday and today. :(
To top it off, I got a call last night about 7pm that one of my 3rd shifters messed his car up racing and wanted to call off. I am so pissed that he did something so stupid. They wanted me to come running in and I told them "No way". Luckily, my 2rd shift sgt. was off yesterday and she volunteered, bless her heart. The bozo who called off last night has a pending shift trade next weekend for more 'racing'. I'm sorely tempted to cancel the whole thing since he screwed up this weekend. Problem is that the person he traded with is really looking forward to the deal for reasons of her own and I don't want to screw >her< over.
I feel vindicated on another problem. My last pair of glasses I for from a certain LARGE department store. Due to problems I was having reading, I expected 2 years ago to get bifocals but they insisted I didn't need them. I have not been happy with the job they did ever since. Friday, I decided it was time to get a new pair and this time went to a 'real' optometrist. While they cautioned that the first doctor >may< have been right, they conceeded this time that I really was in need of bifocals...my vision is really screwed up. (duh) I can't wait until This Friday when hopefully my new pair is ready.
Has anybody figured out what caused the board to go down most of yesterday? I haven't seen an update yet. -

And to think of all the time I've wasted cropping out the subtitles and working on eliminating the lip flap.
No wonder I only usually only get '3' stars. (Unless its a 'hot' pop song or lesbians.) -
