  • New AMV (not up yet) 2005-11-13 13:32:03 Looks like the new Naru AMV is about par for the course. I've got some mild tweaking to do but my beat synch and humor is about dead on.

    I may have to delay releasing it an extra couple of weeks or so though...I've decided I want to start on a Christmas AMV next so it'll be ready for the season and can be bumped out around Christmas if/when my NEXT AMV after that gets completed. (Rather than having people voting on a christmas video in January during the ML contest.)

    My two leading contenders are 'An Axel Christmas' using Black Heaven. problem is there are no christmas scenes and I'd have to work to superimpose a santa hat (and other things) on Oji. My other choice so far is 'Boob job for Christmas' with mixed anime. (Heavy on the Mahoromatic.) This I think is my easiest way out. I'm still looking at options though. (I've got somewhere around 300+ christmas novelty songs to choose from. I just have to find one that matches an anime 'mood'.)

    My lastest project's first complete draft. Love Hina to a parody of AC/DC called PMS. (Song is actually by the Bob Rivers Group.) 25 mb mpg file.

    Any informal comments on scene improvement/replacement are highly encouraged. Again note that this is just a draft and final video quality will be much better. I'm already aware I need to tighten some of my editing at the end. (The 'lip synch' which I'm not going all-out for, but will be better than this.)

    While not in the same headache as last time, title choices are something like 'Naru's problem', 'The Naru Cliche Video', 'Dedicated to >my< wife' (a nod to Godix and retribution for an extra bitchy weekend so far from momzilla.) or maybe just 'PMS' says it all.

    DJ - A new weapon in the hands of the idiots...and a reminder why I gave in and started releasing stuff on the org only in mpg. (Although now I get complaints about why stuff isn't 'high quality'...grr. Becase bakas don't know their **** from a codec.) (I have started saving a high-quality version of my new stuff in AVI for contests.)

    Sub0 - RE: the Love Hina puppets / marionettes. The teahouse / play episode has both. After Su's substitution of marionettes for live actors goes wrong, Her, Motoko, Kitsune and Shinobu are standing around with puppets on their hands that look like themselves and they carry on a conversation this way. It just struck me as too funny to ignore. Throw in Pucchan and (Luke? I can't remember) from Gokujou Seitokai, Boogie (the star) and Midori and I think I've got a full dance card for this video. (And I am trying to conceptionalize this video as a dance video.) I like the idea of superimosing some of the puppets over backgrounds from other anime but that may be beyond me there.
