Ok, not done >quite yet...

Thanks all. I didn't mean to sound quite like I was writing my own obit. I'm just bummed there is no way I can focus my eyes enough to do any editing at this time. (Like that ever stopped me before. XD) I may be able to return in a year or so...there is a quick little proceedure where they suck all of the fluid from my eyes, filter it and pump it back in. (I WISH this was a joke...0.o )
For those who were curious about the crossdressing project...well, it is DOA. Below is the song I'd planned to use and had begun to focus on Princess Princess as the sole anime source. Maybe someone else can bring it to life.

Stroke me stroke me...
or
Just when it couldn't get worse...
Back at the tail end of June, my kidneys went into total failure and I checked into a local hospital on the 28th. It started out that I was only supposed to go in to get some tubes installed for outpatient dialsys. It was decided that my condition had regressed too far and I was immediatly placed on dialsys in the hospital.
Meanwhile, the outpatient dialsys center found out my cheap-@$$ insurance would not cover the outpatient treatment. The hospital had no real choice but to 'hold' me until I could get qualified for medicaid.
Big problem #1 - wife went out of town immediatly before I went to the hospital and there was no one on the 'outside' who could complete my paperwork until the wife returned Sunday July 2nd.
Sometime while sleeping Saturday night, I experienced a minor stroke which has left me for all intents...blind. It has caused swelling in the retnas and when it is at its worst, I cannot see much but a dark, grey haze. By applying ice packs to my eyes/forhead I can get the swelling down somewhat.
Tammy returned Sunday as scheduled and rounded up all of the paperwork she would need but was actually turned away at the Medicade office door on Monday since they decided they wou;d only be working a partial day due to the holiday. Even though she arrived during posted 'business hours', they said they had too many clients on site to process her/me.
Independance Day my ass. :(
Tammy got in and even though the paperwork was 'processed' by Wednesday afternoon, Medicade wouldn't release my claim number until Thursday AM.
Claim number in hand, the hospital case worker could finally try to get me scheduled into the outpatient dialsys center. Unfortunatly, because they still a couple more days I still had to wait at the hospital until Friday evening. (and the threat was to keep me until this afternoon.
Recap - Whay starts out to be a 3-4 trip tuns into a misadventure that leaves us unsure when it will ever end. Is it just me, or is this the plot to Gilligan's Island? XD
Well, the gameplan now is to start checking into SSI/disability...not much use for a blind security officer. XD Will likely be moving out to sunny, Buckeye Ocean to a house my parent's have promised me.
Toodles.

Still around...

Not doing as well as I'd like, however.
A day or so after I last posted, I ended up in the hospital with a bad case of pnumonia. (sp?) While I was in the hospital, they took a blood test and just after I got out of the hospital from that, was ordered back in...my kidneys are down to less than 20% functionability due to my diabetes. (This was the real reason for my legs swelling and other problems I've had lately.) My kidney specialist has been busy doing tests but it looks like I'll be on dialisys soon and will be put on a waiting list for a transplant. Meanwhile, until the dialisys starts, I'm VERY limited in the time I can spend sitting upright and even more limited in computer time.
I did get the sound file for Rina's MEP project but don't know when I can get sufficient time to do anything with it.

Midnight...one more night without sleeping...
2006-05-23 03:30:10
Ok, so its actually about 3:30 am here. Things have been a little dicey lately for everone's favorite outpatient, but it looks like I'll keep my legs as a matched set a little while longer.
About a month or so ago, I noted swelling in my left leg. I'm having trouble with cellulitus, an infection in the leg muscles. This time though, while the inflamation cleared up, the swelling in my legs won't go down unless I'm laying flat. Apparently the infection has damaged some of the blood vessels so they're constricting the flow of blood back out of my legs.
I've been staring at the ceiling more than a hooker needing a fix and I'm bored silly. About the only thing to do is nap which is why I'm up now.
Well, back to bed...
