Hey! I resemble that remark! :P

JJ - I can't lurk. Somehow, I've become somewhat notorious and the couple of times I've gone in to lurk, everyone has tried to invite me into their conversation. Its great, but the constant updating gives me a big headache trying to follow the conversations. (Last time, the talk was about composing which isn't my bag either.)
  • ~2 2006-01-15 21:36:35 >All I know is, I woke up today with a giant fat Pikachu staring right in front of me...

When that happens, I know the drugs are still working and go back to sleep...unless I notice that Pikachu is more orange than yellow and has tuna on its breath, Then I realize its just our cat Stitch. :)
  • Cravings 2006-01-14 22:54:11 Don't you just hate it when you suddenly get a craving for something and its impossible to get?

Spent most of the afternoon watching 'Modern Marvels' on the History Channel and the last segment was on the history of (beer) brewing. I'm NOT much of a drinker...MAYBE one or two bottles of beer on or around St. Patrick's Day. (Three cheers for Killians.) In fact, I wanted champagne for New Years and was strongarmed out of the local wine section by the wife and daughter. (We ended up settling for sparkling cherry cider.)

I'm not entirely sure why, but while watching that show, I had the STRONGEST desire for a beer. The only reason why I didn't was that my truck is still in the garage and the three closest 'convience' stores all carry the pedestrian stuff...bud, miller, and stuff that comes in 40 oz bottles. (I don't even bother to learn what that stuff is.)

Luckily, once the show ended that craving went away...but now I had a craving for an Orange Julius of all things. (A 'smoothy'-type drink.) I haven't had a real OJ in nearly 10 years, ever since the local one fled the 'Wasteland' Mall. (A quick visit to the official company website shows the nearest is 100 miles away in Cincinnati.) I found a few recipies and made my own version.

Not bad I guess...considering I've pretty much forgotten what they are really supposed to taste like.

  • nenesan 2006-01-13 21:00:10 Welcome to the wonderful world of beat counters. Those who don't 'get' what you were trying to achive by mood unless every single character's movment is timed to the beat.

    Hmm,...

I'm not sure if you're familiar with the long-running joke/commercial series for Bud Light Beer called 'Real Men of Genius'. (Used to be 'Real American Heros' until the 9/11 disaster.) but sounds like...

TODAY, WE SALUTE YOU, MR. BEAT-SYNCH OBSESSOR

(Ok, I'm already reaching for straws so I'll let the rest of the journal junkies take over from here. XD )
