Some humor at work today. I give my loading dock security officer a break at noon so she can grab a smoke and refresh her coffee.
Unfortunatly, I had the wiseass Fed Ex driver show up and drop a load of packages on the dock. He knows doggone good and well they're not to be signed for unless they are actually brought into the building. The regular girl is sort of a sweet thing who doesn't make a big deal out of things if she has to go out to pick up packages even though we've 'ordered' her not to for fear of injury. (She's like 4'-nothing, late-40s and maybe 120lbs soaking wet. But we've seen her manhandle crates bigger than she is. How she hasn't picked up a hernia yet has been one of our biggest mysteries.) He got a surprise bumping into me and had to drag the boxes in.
After things were signed for, he pulls out a bite-size snickers bar and flips it my way with a "Happy Valentines Day".
I said if he was going 'brokeback' on me, I was going to 'go Cheney' on him. -
