God damn, was Read or Die great! Reminded me of the comic League of Extrodinary Gentleman in a way. Another great sow I watched this week was Voices of a Distant Star. Magnificent. And the short that came with it, Her and Her Cat was amazing.
I'm on the fence about going to Otakon. I've already got the plane tix, pre-reg and room at the Hyatt Regency, but the current state of anime fans is just getting on my nerves. Oh well, I do want some new cels, so that might get me there. But then again, I might just blow it off. I'm looking more forward to BAAF, since I got us the Powerpasses, mainly to guarentee I get to see Cat Soup and the Animatrix on 35mm, plus any chance to meet Tsukasa Hojo (and maybe get a sketch???) is worth a little bit of money.
I consider myself mostly conservative, but the way the current administration is handling world affairs has just broken me. And the fact I have to go to the BBC now to get my news is pissing me off. I was a bit dissappointed that neither of my entires made the finals for fitcon, but what can you do? At least one of them picked up an award the previous week.
I'm making videos at an unprecidented rate. Maybe because I have no work right now, and my wife has been putting in 12 hour days, so I can spend 10 hours a sitting on them. I finished up my AWA pro and masters in a little more than a week. Now I move onto my TMBG/Love Hina idea. I don't really want to do a Love Hina video, or a TMBG song for that matter, but the idea won't leave my head.
I want to do a video to Hank Williams as well, but I can't think of a good idea.
