One Piece 2003-04-08 09:45:48 I am so in love with One Piece. I can't wait for it to get licensed in the states so I can understand it better.

The animation is fantastic. I'm pretty sure it was done on a computer, so no cels :(

And The Cat Returns is getting released R2 in July. I saw it in Hong Kong in January, but didn't understand Cantonese, so some of it went by me, but I think I caught most of it. Typical Ghibli fare: magical, fantastic, wonderful. It's possibly the worst movie done by the studio and it's still better than 99% of the movies I've seen.

Working on a Tsukikage Ran video at this time. It's really fun to work with. I love you, Lady Meow of the Cat Fist.

Imagine my surprise to find out that "Quite a Crowd" won Best of Show at Mega-Con over the weekend. I almost didn't enter this contest, but FTPed the files only hours before I left for Cabo San Lucas on the 12th, and with the deadline on the 14th... Proves the old adadge that if you don't enter, you can't win.

I saw a list of a few of the other entries for Mega Con, and I can say I didn't deserve to win, but hey, take what you can from life, and when you do: smile. Goes to show you the power of Studio Ghibli.
