A fun weekend

Even if I didn't walk away with awards, I still would have thought the weekend was one of the best I've had in years at Anime Boston. A very well orginized con, especially for a first year. And major kudos to Patrick D and the tech staff for putting together the best AMV showing I've ever attended.
Thanks to anyone who was there and voted for Fight!. There were some other videos that I thought were better, so it's quite an honor to walk away with my new tequila holders (for those of you who don't know, the trophies are hollow glass containers with engraving work. They are very, very nice).
I've put Fight! up on the local servers and will put it up at my host as soon as they overcome some tech problems they are having. Hopefully tomorrow.
Very cool weekend. I got to meet creators of whom I've only admired from a distance and only associated them by their board avatars.
Highlight of con: A man dressed as a chocobo at the masquerade serenaded us the chocobo theme on electric guitar. Triple A brilliant!
Second place highlight: The hot girl dressed as dark Chii who sat next to me at the masquerade. -

Just finished off my rough draft of my most recent AMV, which uses the music of the Buzzcocks. For those of you not cool enough to know, the Buzzcocks are the best punk band ever. Keep in mind that I'm making this proclomation without hearing their newest album, but the word on the street says it's their best since they started off in the seventies.
So a few tweaks and I'll have washed my hands of it. It's not my fave, but it's more fun to watch than it was to make. I want to work on a trailer again, but no great ideas have hit me, only one real obvious one that seems lame in theory... -
10 Belgians can't be wrong

Well, just put the finishing touches on our third album, which will be released by a record company in Belgium. This probably finishes it for Client/Server as I didn't feel any excitment in recording it at all. It just felt like a chore to get done.
Getting booted off the Terrastock 5 line-up just ruined it all for me. I guess I channeled it all into AMVs, tho the current AMV I'm making is just not doing it for me. Colorful is fun and matches the song I picked well, but it just lacks something.
Going to Jesus Christ Superstar tonight. I've spent the last year studying the New Testament, so I'm curious to see how it's portrayed, as I;ve never seen any version of it before. Kinda funny side note: It's playing right near the hotel that Anime Boston is at. Too bad I didn't get tickets for Saturday night so I could just walk down the street from the hotel instead of taking the T from Harvard Sq in tonight. -

One week until Anime Boston (the creative team for branding must have really earned their dollar). The good news is I just got a huge freelance check, so I can buy my way to happiness in the dealer room. Hopefully there will be a cel dealer or 2.
I'm also looking forward to seeing my videos for Fight and Don't Walk Away with an audience. And for meeting a few of the personalities from the Org in the clubhouse. I'm buring a few CD-Rs to bring. I'm not sure what's a good number. I'll probably make 10 with the knowledge that I can go home and make more if I see the need.
