I got 3 good ideas for videos, but all are going to need multiple DVDs. I've run out of hard drive space and am waiting on a new hard drive to be delivered and I'm going nuts!
Just changed my DVD player to all-region. It wasn't easy. Thank god I'm a good trouble shooter, because the guides were of no use.
Hurry up, new hard drive, I want to make my videos.

why i hate the internet
2003-05-07 07:31:59
I've spent the last two weeks getting negative e-mail and reactions to my stuff, and it's bringing my depression level to a new high.
I'm tired of mean-spirited people.
I'm no longer putting my work on the internet. I'm still making it, and I'll still submit it to cons and give people CD-Rs and DVDs if they ask for them, but that's it.
I know not everyone here falls under the jerk category, but there's enough to drive me away.

I've just deleted a three paragraph whine that I wrote from here. You may thank me later. Let's just say I'm a minority of one just about everywhere.

Hero
2003-04-28 10:46:42
I got to see Hero last night. My friends own a movie theatre here in Boston so they get advance tapes and the such, and they showed it for us.
It was AMAZING! Zhang Yimou's answer to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. The cast was amazing. Jet Li, Zhang Ziyi, Tony Leung, Maggie Cheung and Donnie Yen. Amazing visuals, great story, great fight scenes. It really made Crouching Tiger look pale in comparison.
We had a chance to see it in Hong Kong, but I was sick the day we were near the theatre showing it. I would have loved to see that on the big screen. Hopefully Miramax will get off their duffs and release it soon.
Still working on my Niea_7 100,000 Fireflies video. It won't have mass-appeal, but I'm very happy with it so far.

so damn sick
2003-04-26 18:13:17
Crap. I've been sick ever since Saturday. I tried working on my video during the week, but found that while having a fever addled brain may (or may not) have added to my creativity, it sure as hell didn't help my techical side. I went back and saw I missed every beat I had worked on and had to restart the whole thing.
I learned last night that the Anime Boston trophy does not hold a full bottle of tequila (it did come close). I also learned that tequila does not kill flu germs. As a matter of fact, I feel worse today than I did all week. Learn from me, young people.
