I'm so goddamn sick again, and also suffering from sleep deprivation. wheee.
Watched the Terminator last night in anticipation of Terminator 3. I was 14 when it came out and it rocked my world. Probably similar to what Matrix did for the current generation.
I was getting a ton of hits at yumtown.com/amv/kitty.mpeg, which would only get you a 404 error, so I decided to put a song by my wife's and my band.
I got a huge freelance check in Friday, so I bought my wife one of the Louis Vuitton Murakami Pochettes and myself the Junko Mizuno three figure set. If you haven't seen either of these products, they are awsome.

I finished up my newest vid last night. It was the first one my wife worked on as well for a while. I'm really happy with it and may even put it online. Or maybe not as I check my inbox... >sigh<
I really like working with footage from multiple series.
It's my wife's birthday, but I can't take her out to dinner becasue all the high-end restaraunts are closed for the holiday. I guess it's Pizzeria Uno for us... -

My newest project is going so very well. I may just put it online when it's done.
Matrix was OK, but there was too much obligatory crap. Hero had much better action sequences and a much better story. I can't wait until Miramax gets off their ass and releases it in the States.
Watched Only Yesterday last night. I still think everything Ghibli has done is gold. Made a comment to the wife that Takahata's movies were very Japanese while Miyazaki's movies were (usually) more universal.
I'm trying to decide if I overrate Cat Returns because it's a Ghibli film. It's hard to say because I've only seen it once in a langauge I don't know (cantonese). I can't wait until the July R2 release. Not to mention I have a few video ideas... -

I have to admit, winning the award for best editing at Anime North for Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand is very satisfying. I never got a chance to show it at many conventions since it features some of the more graphic bits from End of Evangelion (centering on the sperm-covered hand of Shinji more than once). I was just pleased that it would get shown thanks to AN's alternative category. It was one of the first videos I did where I felt I had gotten the hang of video editing, and one of what I consider my first good videos. Tho to be fair, after a spurt of three videos, I went back to making a few bad videos.
My wife has the day off and since I work for myself, I can give myself vacation days. We're off to see the 11 am showing of the Matrix. There had better not be any talkers during this film. Some jerk sitting next to me ruined the X-Men movie by running his mouth the whole movie. I wish people would learn that the reason MST3K is funny is because they sit and watch the movie 5 or 6 times to come up with clever and witty retorts. They don't just sit down in front of the screen and repeat what happens on the screen...
I count the days until I move to Vermont. Of course, by then, the state will be overrun by Massholes and it'll begin again. -

I've started _another_ multi-series vid. This one should be quite a bit of fun. I had tons of fun making the end of the world, and this one is going to be a similar experience.
I spend my days listening to NPR. How uncool is that?
